Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a cluster of botanical prints!

 

PRETTY PERENNIALS

I wanted to use my Pretty Perennials bundle again before it officials “retires” at the end of May…sadly, it won’t be in the new Annual catalog!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.  It was embossed on the FRONT only with the retiring Ornate Flowers Embossing Folder.
    • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The large flower from Pretty Perennials stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink and the small flowers with Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White cardstock.  They were cut with the Perennial Dies.
    • The leaves “vine” was cut from Just Jade cardstock, the sprigs from Pool Party cardstock, the outline flower from Blushing Bride cardstock, the flower center from Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the Dies.  They were added to the front.
    • For You from Pretty Perennials Stamp Set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Pool Party cardstock, then punched with the retiring Classic Label Punch (sob!)
    • The flowers and greeting were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the leaves and sprigs.
    • The Gold Glitter Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.

Hi! Welcome to the monthly Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! The theme this month is “Share the Love”!    I think everyone needs a little more love in their life putting up with this past year!  You’ve probably just come from Bree Renwick!    Just click on the link below to take you around the entire blog hop for some GREAT inspiration!

PRETTY PERENNIALS
I used the Pretty Perennials Bundle on my card today, using MOSTLY starts of images and cardstock that I already have on my desk!  I love when I can use them up!  I love this sentiment and it is perfect to “share the love”.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Seaside Spray was embossed with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder and added on front.
  • Two 1-3/4 x 5 pieces of Hydrangea Hill DSP were cut at an angle on the top and bottom, then added to the outsides of the Seaside Spray panel.
  • The large heart was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Be Mine Dies and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front.
  • The Pretty Perennials flower was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink on Basic White, then cut with the Perennial Dies, along with the outline die from Seaside Spray cardstock and the center and leaf branch from Rococo Rose cardstock.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A Pastel Pearl was added to the center.
  • The greeting from In Bloom was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink.  (I goofed and used the wrong set…meant to use Pretty Perennials!)  Oh well!

 

I think this card definitely “Shares the Love”!  OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is the fabulous Wendy Weixler.  I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!

Happy Thursday…can you believe another week has rolled around?  I can’t!  It is already the end of January!  Wow!  This week is a fun color challenge for you to try!

I knew I wanted flowers…and I tried a couple sets, but settled on Pretty Perennials for today’s card.  I also love the black/white graphics in the True Love Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Magenta Madness, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White was added on top and stamped with the Pretty Perennial happy greeting in Magenta Madness and the Sending Lots of in Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
  • A 3 x 3 piece of True Love Designer Paper was added towards the top.
  • The large flower was stamped with Magenta Madness Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Perennial Dies.  The smaller flower was cut with the die twice, once from Basic White and once from Magenta Madness.  The Basic White one was added to the large flower, and the petals added to the outline of the Magenta Madness one.  The large flower is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two of the sprigs were cut from Magenta Madness and tucked under the larger flower.
  • Matte Black Dots were added to the centers of each flower.

IM158 Pretty Perennials

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  I love this floral tag and was inspired to use my new Pretty Perennials Bundle.

 

PRETTY PERENNIALS

I knew I wanted to use flowers to recreate this tag, so pulled out my new Pretty Perennials stamp set and dies to see what I could come up with.  After several variations, I settled on this one looking the most like the inspiration photo!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and added to the front.
    • The leaves from the Perennial Dies were cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered to the background.
    • The background flowers were cut from Flower & Field Designer Paper (free SAB) and added to the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The outline flowers were cut from Mango Melody cardstock with the Perennial Dies and adhered with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional in the center.
    • The stamens were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the centers.
    • Some Sequins for Everything (carryover item) were added to the centers and background for a little bling!
    • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then tucked under the flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
