CSF814 – Layers of Beauty

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We are picking our own favorite color combination this week AND adding a little sparkle! Right now my favorite color is yellow, so I combined it with the awesome new Petunia Pop pink color and Lemon Lime Twist green! LOVE how it turned out!

LAYERS OF BEAUTY

I just got this new Layers of Beauty bundle and couldn’t wait to ink it up! On this card, I used Stampin’ Blends to color my flowers, but on a second card I’ll show later, I did use the stencils that are bundled with this set! Stencils are quite the rage again. I can remember stenciling my walls when I was first married!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
The large rose flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Petunia Pop Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Layers of Beauty Dies.
A 1/4 x 3 strip of Petunia Pop In Color Glimmer Paper was added behind the greeting stamped with Memento Black Ink on Petunia Pop cardstock. It was cut with the Everyday Details Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of In Color Resin Dots were added to the background.

CCMC573 – Beautiful Friendship

Wow…time again for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! The weeks are going by faster, aren’t they? This is a pretty color combination and I just had to use the beautiful roses in Beautiful Friendship stamp set!

Here’s what I made! I probably never would have put Grapefruit Grove and Pretty Peacock together, but I really like the color combination!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Grapefruit Grove cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On tp is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, stamped with the greeting in the lower left corner with Pretty Peacock Ink.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Woven Threads Designer Paper was added to the right side, with a 1/2 x 4 piece of Sahara Sand cardstock layered on top.
The Stitched Shape Oval was cut from Whisper White and stamped with the roses from Beautiful Friendship in Grapefruit Grove Ink. It was layered on a Layering Scallop Oval cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock, then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then hand-cut and tucked between the oval layers.

SUOC123 Stippled Blossoms

It’s time for another SUO Challenge…these time it is a Floral Theme…my favorite! I don’t know why, but I rarely pass up a floral set! One of the stamp sets that I’ll be sad to see leave the SU catalog is Stippled Blossoms! It makes such pretty two-tone roses!

This card is fun because it is 3D…and stands up on its’ own! It is all about how it is scored.

Here are the details:

Cut a 5 x 11piece of Calypso Coral cardstock for the base. Score at 2-1/2, 4, 7, 8-1/2. Fold as shown (V, M, M, V folds).
Cut a second from smallest Deco Label Framelit from Whisper White and stamp the greeting from Sumthin’ Sumthin’ in Tuxedo Black. Layer on the third from smallest Deco Label Framelit cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock. Add to the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add the two 2-1/4 x 4-3/4 Painted Blooms Designer Paper to each of the side panels.
Stamp two roses, first with Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White, then add the Calypso Coral two-step. Stamp two sets of leaves with Wild Wasabi ink (stamp off for the leaf and full strength for the veins). Cut everything out and add it to the Deco Label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Pearls in the center of the roses.

I really like how this card looks and it stands up on the counter perfectly! OK…make sure to see the rest of the SUO Challenge Design Team and see what they did!

Stipple Blossoms

Oh, I haven’t used this set, Stippled Blossoms in a while! I was looking at sets that were remaining in the catalog…and pulled this one out to use! This came together pretty easily, mainly because the base was already one. I just had to do the two-step stamping of the flowers and leaves, then cut them out! Love it when I can use up my “starts” pile!

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Pear Pizzazz, fold in half.
I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Eggplant Elegance for the next layer.
At the bottom of the 3 3/4 x 5 Whisper White, I added a 2 x 5 piece of Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper.
Around the layers, I tied a piece of Pear Pizzazz Taffeta Ribbon.
The greeting is from Yippee Skippe and stamped in Elegant Eggplant in the right corner.
I stamped the roses from Stippled Blossoms with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant and the leaves with stamped-off and full-strength Pear Pizzazz. I cut them out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

LOVE those purple roses! Wish I had some like them in my garden! Have a wonderful day!
