CSF855 – Fruit Salad DSP

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a fun sketch!

FRUIT SALAD DESIGNER PAPER

A quick card done with the Sale-A-Bration level 1 selection, Fruit Salad 6×6 Designer Paper!  SOOOO fun with all these fruit images!  I really wish they would have offered a stamp set to coordinate with them!  But…it is easy enough to cut some of the images out by hand.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fruit Salad DSP was added to the background.
  • The Stylish Shapes circle was cut from Crushed Curry cardstock and adhered to the front.
  • The 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic Whtie cardstock was embossed with the Sale-A-Bration Level 1 Starstruck Embossing Folder and adhered over the circle.
  • The pineapple was hand-cut from the Fruit Salad DSP and added to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Simply Said stamp set greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and cut with the Stylish Shapes Die.  It was added over the pineapple with Stampin’ Dimensionals on each end.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a pretty color challenge!

PICK A SEASON

My order with the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Pick A Season, just came in and I decided to use it for this challenge!  It came together really quickly!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is a unique size, 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Floral Delight 12×12 Designer Paper was added towards the bottom.
  • A 3 x 4-1/4 layer of Real Red cardstock was added towards top making sure to fit the 5-1/2 length card size.
  • The 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the tree leaves and grass in Garden Green Ink, the trunk in Pecan Pie Ink, the hearts and greeting with Real Red Ink.  It was added to the Real Red layer on front.
  • A trio of Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added in the background

IM367 – Friendly Seagulls

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is print of seagulls!  This painting would go SO well in my Florida house!

FRIENDLY SEAGULLS

Of course, I just HAD to use the new FREE Friendly Seagulls Sale-A-Bration stamp set.  This stamp set is SO fun to work with!  I had a blast designing our upcoming Create with Stamping Friends Collection!  I was happy I also could use it on today’s card…which I love, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was sponged with some clouds in the upper left corner in Pool Party Ink and some birds stamped in Memento Black Ink.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP was cut on a diagonal and then added to the bottom of the Basic White.  Then it was added to the front of the base card.
  • Three 1/2 x 2-1/4 Crumb Cake pier posts were brushed with Crumb Cake Ink and embossed with the Birchwood Embossing Folder, then were added at staggering heights and trimmed at the bottom.
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped around two of them and then adhered to the front of the card.
  • The three seagulls were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Lost Lagoon and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then hand-cut and added to the pier posts with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1/2 x 2 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was stamped with the Friendly Seagulls greeting in Memento Black Ink and the end trimmed at an angle.  It was added on the top right side.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  It’s a sketch challenge this week to inspire you!

BOTANICAL LAYERS

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 4 piece of Brights 6×6 Designer Paper was cut to 4 x 4, then cut in half diagonally and added to the top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
  • The circle was cut with the Deckled Circles Die from Basic White, then stamped with the larger leaf stem in Lemon Lime Twist Ink towarsd the left and the Botanical Layers greeting with Pretty Peacock Ink at the upper right.
  • A 1/2 x 2-1/4 piece of Brights DSP was added towards the bottom.
  • The spiky branch was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on scrap Basic White and hand cut, then added over the DSP strip and hanging off the bottom edge.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Some Opaque Faceted Gems (SAB) were added to the branches and background.
  • Two dragonflies from Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Birds (Online Exclusive) were added in the background.

CS128 – Watercolor Melon

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Sweet” cards.  This theme should be lots of fun this month!

WATERCOLOR MELON

Who doesn’t love watermelon in the summer?  I know I do!  It is so refreshing…especially when it is nice and cold!  It’s definitely a sweet treat!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.
  • A 2 x 4-3/4 piece of Most Adored DSP (SAB) was added to the bottom.
  • The watermelons from Watercolor Melon (SAB) were stamped with Garden Green and Real Red with Memento Black seeds.  The leaves with Lemon Lime Twist.
  • I used the Modern Oval Punch to punch out the full size watermelon and the half watermelon.  The slice and leaves were hand-cut.  All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • With Love from Country Bouquet was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the banner die.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This is the last week for our theme of “NEW” cards…let’s use some of the new products in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog and SAB Catalog on our cards!

JUNGLE PALS

I think this alligator from Jungle Pals (SAB) is SO cute!  We have a resident alligator in the pond by our mailbox.  He likes to sun himself on the grassy bank and we will sit on the bench and watch him.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was sponged in the middle with Pool Party Ink and the greeting from Heartfelt Hellos was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink.
  • A 1 x 5 strip of Flight & Airy DSP was added to the bottom of the Basic White layer.
  • The greenery was cut with the Jungle Pals Die from Mossy Meadow cardstock, the flowers from Poppy Parade cardstock.  They were adhered to the front.
  • The alligator was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink then colored with Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  He was cut out with the Jungle Pals Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two Pool Party Opaque Faceted Gems (SAB) were added to the center of the flowers.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.   It’s a fun sketch challenge this week.

FLIGHT & AIRY DESIGNER PAPER

Yep…I love the Flight & Airy DSP and I’m using it again!  The watercolor bird images are just SO pretty!  I’ve reserved one sheet for just cutting out images…but I know I’ll be ordering more packages as Sale-A-Bration freebies!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on front.
  • Three 1 x 3-1/2 strips of Flight & Airy DSP were added to the background.
  • A 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was colored with Boho Blue Ink in the center and along the edges using a Blending Brush and added to the front.
  • The bird, branch and flowers were cut from the Flight & Airy DSP and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Boho Blue cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
  • Some Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and the back of the bird for some shimmery goodness!

DETAILED DOGWOOD

This Detailed Dogwood stamp set is one of the Level 2 Sale-A-Bration selections and I wanted to make a card without the main dogwood branch image.  I also ended up using two other Sale-A-Bration Level 1 items…the greeting in Heartfelt Hellos and the Opaque Faceted Gems on this card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic Whie cardstock was stamped with the Detailed Dogwood branch image along the bottom in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green several times overlapping each other.
  • Hello from Heartfelt Hellos was stamped with Memento Black Ink above the branches.
  • Two dragonflies from Detailed Dogwood stamp set were stamped with Azure Afternoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the card.
  • The coral Opaque Faceted Gems were added to the branches along the bottom and the copper Opaque Faceted Gems were added to the bodies of the dragonflies.
