CCMC800 – Detailed Dogwood

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.   It’s a pretty color challenge this week.

DETAILED DOGWOOD

I’m using this Sale-A-Bration stamp set again!  I’ve had it on my desk and I keep coming up with different ideas using it!  These flowers can be punched with the Annual Catalog Petal Park Builder Punch!  Made it easy to create this bouquet!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Masterfully Made Designer Paper was torn diagonally and then adhered to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink cardstock.
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped around the Petal Pink c/s and tied in a bow along the DSP.
  • The Deckle Circle was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and stamped the leaf branches three times with Pretty Peacock Ink.
  • The flowers were stamped four times with Petal Pink Ink and four times with Moody Mauve Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Petal Park Builder Punch and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The small Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems were added to the centers of the flowers.
  • For You from Heartfelt Hexagon was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White, cut a flag end, and added to the bouquet.

Saturday Blog Hop – Say Hello to SAB

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Saying Hello to SAB”.  It’s that favorite Stampin’ Up! time of year!  FREE products with purchase!

DETAILED DOGWOOD

This stamp set is a Level 2 SAB selection.  My mom loves dogwood trees, so I grabbed it first thing on my order so I could make a few cards for her.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder, then cut into five 1 x 5 strips and adhered to the front of the base card for a shiplap look.
  • The dogwood branch was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Soft Sea Foam Combo, Light Lemon Lime Twist, Bubble Bath Combo, Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut out and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Very Best Occasions was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink and cut with the Nested Essentials Die.
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped into circles and adhered behind the greeting, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added in the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Sale-A-Bration!  We will design our cards using this theme!

THANKS A BUNCH

This is a super simple card using the Thanks a Bunch SAB stamp set and Dandy Designs SAB Designer Paper!  A double SAB card for our creatively simple challenge this week!  I stamped and cut out the carrots by hand, but you could make this even easier by just stamping directly on the background!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top of the base card.
  • Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 pieces of Dandy Designs DSP was added to the top and bottom of the Basic White c/s.
  • Five carrots were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink and tops with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Thanks a Bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock, then cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.

CS76 – In the Country

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Sale-A-Bration!  We will design our cards using this theme!

IN THE COUNTRY

This is the first time using the SAB stamp set, In the Country.  I actually really like how this turned out paired with the Fancy Flora DSP!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Evening Evergreen cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fancy Flora DSP was added on top.
  • The In the Country scene was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with Soft Succulent, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and SU300 Stampin’ Blends.
  • It was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies and added to a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock.
  • Two 3/8 x 2 pieces of Crushed Curry cardstock were cut at an angle, then added under the Evening Evergreen layer.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Charming Sentiments was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and cut with the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Evening Evergreen In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Sale-A-Bration!  We will design our cards using this theme!

BEAUTIFULLY HAPPY

Of course, it makes me “beautifully happy” to have a floral set in our SAB lineup this year!  I can’t resist a good floral!  This one is especially nice since it is so easy to color!  The stamps do all the work!

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of HIghland Heather cardstock was embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder!
  • A 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Dandy Designs DSP (SAB) was added to the left side.
  • The Beautifully Happy flower outline was stamped with Memento Black Ink.  The insides were stamped with Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz and Pale Papaya.  I colored over the leaves of the Pale Papaya image with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Seaside Bay Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the flower center and background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week is a fun sketch challenge!

THANKS A BUNCH

I just LOVE these carrots!  I usually don’t gravitate towards this style of stamp images, but this SAB set really appeals to me!  I thought it would be perfect for this sketch!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mango Melody cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Dandy Designs DSP (SAB) was added to the front.
  • The 1 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with Thanks a bunch in Mango Melody Ink and adhered to the front.
  • A 1/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock was added towards the left side.
  • Three large carrots were stamped with the solid image in Mango Melody and the detail with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock.  The leaves were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink and the fern leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink.  All were hand-cut and added to the front.
  • A trio of Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background for a little bling.

IM264 – Day at the Farm

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This is a fun woven tapestry, isn’t it?

DAY AT THE FARM

I thought the FREE Sale-A-Bration Day at the Farm Designer Paper would work perfectly for this challenge!  I built a little scene with the different layers and pieces of the DSP…only the greeting is stamped!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White is added on top.
    • The 3-3/4 x 4 piece of green fields DSP is added to the bottom of the Basic White c/s.
    • The 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of speckled DSP was torn across the bottom, then added along the top of the Basic White layer.
    • A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of yellow stripe DSP was added across the front.
    • The “sun” was the smallest Stylish Shapes circle cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight Ink using a sponge dauber.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The cow and flower were cut from the Day at the Farm DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Beautifully Happy was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 2 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and the end cut at an angle.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite SAB Designer Paper

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  We have a BRAND NEW January-April Mini Catalog AND it’s Sale-A-Bration time!  Last week we showed off our favorite SAB Stamp Set, this week our designers are showing off their favorite SAB Designer Paper!

TWO-TONED FLORAL

I used a new Two-Toned Floral bundle in the Mini Catalog to go along with my Favorite Dandy Designs Designer Paper in the SAB catalog!  It is free with a $100 order in January or February (or while supplies last!) and is a full 48 pages of 12×12 designs.  I love the small prints!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was added on top.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Dandy Designs DSP was added towards to bottom on the front.
  • A 3 x 3 piece of Dandy Designs DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, then added at an angle on the front.
  • For a Very Happy Birthday from Beautifully Happy stamp set was stamped with Coastal Cabana Ink on a 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White and cut a flag end.  It was adhered to the front.
  • The larger flower in Two-Tone Floral was stamped off with Balmy Blue Ink background, then full strength Balmy Blue Ink for the details.  The smaller flower was stamped off with Coastal Cabana Ink, then full strength for the details.  Two sets of leaves were stamped with Mint Macaron Ink on Basic White.  They were all cut with the Two-Toned Floral Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Yellow 2021-23 In Color Opal Rounds were added to the center of the flowers for a little bling.
