It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Welcome back! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season! Seems to have gone by VERY quickly for me!

BEAUTIFULLY HAPPY

I’m using one of the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets available beginning January 5th! I cut off the stem portion to make it more of a cluster of flowers to fit within my circle.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Four 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 strips of Regency Park Designer Paper were spaced across the front of the card.
The largest Stylish Shape circle was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Beautifully Happy flower was stamped with Night of Navy Ink and hand-cut, cutting off the stem portion. It was colored with the solid images in Mango Melody, Shaded Spruce and Balmy Blue and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped towards the right side with Night of Navy Ink on 1/2 x 4 Mango Melody cardstock, the end was cut at an angle. It was added across the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on each end.
The blue Milky Dots were added to the center of the flower and two in the background on the circle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Cards with Frames

This week’s theme for our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop is “cards with frames”. Stampin’ Up! has a HUGE variety of frames to choose from. I picked one that I’ve been using a LOT lately from the Fabulous Frames Dies.

WONDERFUL WORLD

One of the new Level 2 Sale-A-Bration FREE Selections is Wonderful World. It’s a bundle with a floral stamp set and coordinating designer paper! SO pretty! I thought this frame suited it perfectly! I’ve always LOVED irises!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Wonderful World DSP was added on top.
Two 1/2 x 4 strips of Old Olive were added across the center.
The frame was cut from both Orchid Oasis and Basic White cardstocks. (Save the other pieces for another card!)
Adhere the Orchid Oasis frame to the front with Foam Strips.
The iris image from Wonderful World was inked with Orchid Oasis and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers directly on the stamp, then stamped on the center Basic White frame.
Birthday Wishes from Sending Smiles was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink at the bottom of the iris.
A trio of In Color Matte Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Celebrating Sale-A-Bration

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Celebrating Sale-A-Bration”. Last week we showed off our favorite SAB stamp set with the “Loving Sale-A-Bration” blog hop. This week we are showing off our favorite PRODUCT, not including stamp sets, from the SAB collection!

RAINBOW OF HAPPINESS

Rainbow of Happiness is a bundle in the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog, but the coordinating designer paper is a FREE Sale-a-Bration Level 1 Selection! I love the patterns and bright colors in the DSP, so have to choose it as my favorite product!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-7/8 x 5-1/4 piece of the Navy rainbow pattern was added to the left side of the base card and the reverse side was cut to 1 x 5-1/4 and added towards the right side, leaving a small gap.
A 3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was added to the front.
Some Silver Simply Elegant Trim was wrapped in a circle and added over the Pool Party piece.
The greeting from Rainbow of Happiness was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White, the hearts with Magenta Madness Ink, then cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Loving Sale-A-Bration”. Stampin’ Up! has started a new round of Sale-A-Bration freebies and our Design Team is featuring their favorite stamp set from the SAB collection!

FRIENDLY HELLO

Even though the Friendly Hello Level 2 Bundle consists of a stamp set and coordinating designer paper, I choose to feature the Friendly Hello Stamp Set alone, along with another SAB product, the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Paper. Both are my favorites in the SAB brochure!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock that was stamped with the leafy image in Granny Apple Green Ink several times.
Two 1/4 x 5-1/4 strips of the striped Sunshine & Rainbows pattern were added at the top and the bottom.
A Layering Circle was cut with the die from the Sunshine & Rainbows heart pattern and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bird/flower image was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Light Gray Granite, Light Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo Combo, Light Granny Apple Green and Light Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Friendly Hello was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on a 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White, the end cut at an angle, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added in the background.

IM1 – Heartfelt Blooms

Hi everyone!

Mary and I will be bring a new Inspiration Challenge to you every Monday! This week is a fun little Petite Cakes inspiration photo! Aren’t those gorgeous little cakes? I chose to use the color scheme as my inspiration for my card using the Sale-A-Bration set, Heartfelt Blooms.

Here’s my design:

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Sky cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, the 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Picture Perfect Party Designer Paper was placed along the right edge.
A piece of the Sale-A-Bration 1/8″ Bermuda Bay Ribbon hides the seam and was adhered in the back, then a bow tied around the front and secured with a Mini Glue dot.
The Heartfelt Blooms flower was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink in the lower right corner. I’m amazed at the detail in this stamp and how it looks so great stamped in one color or colored with many!
Thinking of You from the same stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, then cut with the Oval Stitched Shapes Framelit. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC398 What I Love

Hello all! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! First…can I get you to say a little prayer for my son…he’s having surgery today due to a sports injury…and will be laid up for about 4-5 weeks! With a 17 month old and a new baby on the way, things will be crazy, I’m sure! I’ll be helping out as much as I can.

But, it’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a pretty color combination and, of course, perfect for flowers, so that’s the direction I went! Some really awesome cards this week from our Challenge Team, so make sure to check them out over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Here’s my card. I don’t know why, but I feel like my Watermelon Wonder Ink is more red than dark pink! Oh well!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, I started by stamping the flourish in Timeless Textures twice with Soft Suede Ink. Then I added leaves from What I Love (a FREE SAB set) with Mossy Meadow Ink, and some splatters in Timeless Textures with Watermelon Wonder Ink. This layer is added to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The full inside image of the flower is stamped twice with Watermelon Wonder Ink on scrap Whisper White, then Soft Suede added with the outline image, they were hand-cut out and placed over the background images with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Several small pearls were added in a cluster for each flower.
Thank You from What I Love was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink close to the images.

That’s it! A CAS design! I love it!

I went for a CAS masculine card for mine this week! For some reason I never have enough masculine cards!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Gray cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, stamped with You Send Me Soaring in the upper right corner.
A 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Going Places Designer Paper is placed across the front.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper was added at the bottom of the DSP.
The plane from Sky is the Limit is stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut. It is placed on a 2-1/2 punched circle of Basic Black, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a beautiful color challenge that we are sure you will like! Come play along!

I used the Sale-A-Bration set, Flowering Fields, for my card:

Here are the details to create it:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Wildflower Fields Designer Paper (another SAB selection) was layered onto a 3 x 4 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and placed on the front.
A 1/8 X 4 strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock was adhered across the top portion of the DSP.
The same size Lots of Label Framelits was cut from Whisper White and Blackberry Bliss. The Blackberry Bliss one was adhered to the front as shown.
On the Whisper White, the Flowering Fields flower image and butterfly were stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink, then watercolored with Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay Markers and AquaPainter. Before adding it to the front, two 3/4″ Circles were punched from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and adhered behind the Whisper White label, along with Silver thread wrapped in a circle several times and adhered. The label was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, Celebrate You from Suite Sayings stamp set was stamped in the lower right corner with Tuxedo Black Ink.
