Saturday Blog Hop – Gold and Vanilla Christmas

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring Gold and Vanilla Christmas on our cards! I always love this color combination…so rich looking!

ONE OF A KIND

Of course, I love snowflakes and snowmen…you all know that about me! I used the One of a Kind snowflake Die to create the “O” in snow along with the Alphabet a La Mode Dies.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.
Two 1 x 3-3/4 strips of Season of Elegance Designer Paper were added to the top and the bottom of the embossed layer.
Some Gold Twisted Thread was wrapped around twice and tied in a bow towards the left side. That layer was added to the front of the base card.
S, N and W from the Alphabet a la Mode Dies were cut from Gold Foil Paper and the snowflake from the One of a Kind Dies. They were added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
Two small clear Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the bow and the center of the snowflake for some extra sparkly fun!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas Tag

Woohoo! It’s Saturday again! How are you coming with all your Christmas projects? I’m in the midst of still wrapping gifts…hope to get it all done this weekend. I still need to make my tags, I put those on last, so haven’t been in a rush! lol! The theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop is Christmas tags! This is a fun one…can’t wait to see what the Design Team has come up with!

I pulled out Christmas Cuties and the Lots of Labels Framelits for my tag…it is extra large for a big gift!

Here are the details:

The base (center) portion of the tag is Soft Sky, stamped with the snow cluster from Happy Scenes with White Craft Ink and cut with the large Lots of Labels Framelit.
A 2″ strip of Whisper White cardstock was torn across the top and cut with one edge of the same framelit, then adhere along the bottom for the snowbank.
The Christmas Cuties image was stamped with Black Stazon and watercolored with an AquaPainter and Stampin’ Write Markers in Lost Lagoon, Pale Plum and Basic Gray. It was cut out and placed on the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Snowballs were punched with the 3/8″ Circle (Owl Punch) from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and stacked into a mound with Mini Glue Dots.
The greeting from Christmas Cuties was stamped with Black Stazon in the upper right corner.
The Label was punched with the 1/4″ Circle Punch, then tied with White Glitter Ribbon.
Another Lots of Label was cut from Pale Plum and placed behind the Soft Sky one in the opposite direction. Two Perfect White Accents were put on the tabs.

Isn’t that fun? I love how it turned out!

CCMC382 Christmas Cuties

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a gorgeous color combination this week to inspire you!

And here’s my card:

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Delightful Dijon, folded in half.
A layer of 4 x 5-1/4 Elegant Eggplant is added on top.
Two strips of 1-3/4 x 4-1/2 Bohemian Designer Paper was added to the front.
The Christmas Cuties image was stamped with Black Stazon and watercolored with an AquaPainter and Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant, and Island Indigo. A little Pink Pirouette was added to the face. It was cut with the Oval Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The wood Snowflake Element was inked with Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The Iced Rhinestone was placed in the center, and regular Rhinestones added across the top strip.
Finally, the greeting from Christmas Cuties was stamped with Black Stazon on a 1/2′ strip of Whisper White, then cut with the flag end and tucked under the snowflake.
