Saturday Blog Hop – National Relaxation Day

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “National Relaxation Day”!  What a fun day to celebrate!

SPLASH & RELAX

The only thing stamped on here is the greeting.  But, I love this ice cream parlor image in the Waterside Retreat Designer Paper package!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • Two 1 x 4 strips of woodgrain Waterside Retreat DSP were added to the sides.
  • A 3 x 4 piece of the ice cream parlor panel from Waterside Retreat DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock, then added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Relax & Enjoy from Splash & Relax stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Everyday Arches Die (love this small one as a label!)
  • Some Misty Moonlight Checkered Trim was wrapped around the side of the label and tied in a knot.  It was adhered to the front.
  • A trio of blue Scenic Sparkle Sequins were added to the label and background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  The July month of challenges are some of my favorites!  Each week we will be using a sample card from the current Stampin’ Up! catalog and recreating it using either the layout, the colors, or a combination of both!

SPLASH & RELAX

Once again, I’ve used the layout to recreate this challenge using Splash & Relax!  Love these coastal colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Splash of Sparkles DSP was added on top.
  • The large banner was cut from Coastal Cabana using the Party Banner Die and added to the front.
  • The innertube was stamped with Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Inks on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Die, the handles cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock.  It was added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The cut was cut with the Die from Azure Afternoon and Timid Tiger cardstocks and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The flipflops were cut with the Die from Shaded Spruce and Daffodil Delight, adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The sunglasses were cut from Timid Tiger and Basic Black cardstocks and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a fun beach life scene!

SPLASH & RELAX

My eye focused on the row of sunglasses in this inspiration piece, so I used that idea on my card today!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Azure Afternoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Waterside Retreat DSP was added on front.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Crumb Cake cardstock was added across the center.
  • The Sweet Words & Labels was cut from Basic White cardstock using the Die.  It was brushed with Azure Afternoon Ink in the center and added flat to the front.
  • The greeting was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on the label.
  • The sunglass frames were cut from Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Blueberry Bushel cardstocks and the lenses from Basic Black cardstock.  They were adhered together, then lined up on the label and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A White Gel Pen was used on the lenses for highlights.
  • The blue Earthy Matte Dots were added to the edges of the label.

Saturday Blog Hop – 250th Red White & Blue

HAPPY 4th of JULY!  It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “250th Red White & Blue”.  Does anyone else feel that it is impossible to believe that it is the 4th of July already?  We had a wonderful celebration with a picnic, waterski show and then fireworks!

SPLASH & RELAX

Once again my mind had started in a completely different direction!  But, when the pieces were on my desk, the layout seemed to just work!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Poppy Parade cardstock was adhered behind the left side of a 3-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhered to the front.
  • The solid innertubes were stamped off, once with Poppy Parade and once with Blueberry Bushel Inks on Basic White cardstock.  The coordinating filler innertubes were stamped full strength for a two-tone look.  They were cut with the dies and added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The handles were cut with the die from Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel cardstocks and adhered to the innertubes.
  • The flip flops were cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and striped with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
  • The straps were cut with the die from Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  They were adhered to the front of the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two small white Hues of Blue Flowers were added to the straps of the flipflops.
  • The sunglasses were cut from Poppy Parade and lenses from Blueberry Bushel cardstocks using the dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple small, white Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers were added to the lenses.
  • The greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the corners clipped in the upper left and lower right.
  • The word sunshine was stamped with Blueberry Bushel Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and trimmed, then added flat to the greeting.
  • The greeting was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Summer Fun Time

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “Summer Fun Time!”  Finally feels like summer is finally here to stay a while!

SPLASH & RELAX

I actually have had this card sitting on my desk for a while.  I had gone in a different direction with a previous challenge and didn’t use this card!  So, this week was pretty easy on me!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Golden Glow cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Highland Heather cardstock was randomly stamped with the innertube swirls in Gorgeous Grape Ink across the background.
  • A 3/4 x 5 strip of Golden Glow cardstockc was added across the front towards the bottom.
  • Four 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 pieces of Scenic Coast DSP were added to the front, flat.
  • The Sunglasses were cut with the Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black cardstock, adhered together, and the lenses highlighted with the White Gel Pen
  • The hat pieces were cut with the Dies from Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather cardstocks and adhered together.
  • The suntan lotion bottle was cut with the Dies from Highland Heather and Basic White for the lid and adhered together.
  • They were all added to the DSP squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A banner was cut with the Three Banner Punch from Gorgeous Grape and adhered to the last DSP square.
  • The greeting was stamped with Gorgeous Grape on Basic White cardstock and cut with the circle beachball Die, then added to the banner with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • A trio of orange Sunset Sparkle Sequins were added to the hat and background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New 2026 Stamps/Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “Favorite New 2026 Stamps/Bundles”…ideas from the new May-August Catalog or May Online Exclusives!

I was SO excited to see a stamp set with Flip Flops!  This bundle is so perfect for summer cards!  I have to say it is my favorite “right now” bundle.  That changes frequently, though!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock is added across the middle.
  • One Stitched Shapes square was cut from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and one from Basic White cardstock and adhered across the front.
  • Three sets of flip flops from Splash & Relax Dies were cut from Bloom Boutique DSP and the straps with Basic White and Crisp Cantaloupe.  They were added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Fun in the Sun from Splash & Relax stamp set was stamped with Peaceful Pine In on Crisp Cantaloupe and cut with the circle Stitched Shapes Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background.
