Saturday Blog Hop – 250th Red White & Blue

HAPPY 4th of JULY! It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “250th Red White & Blue”. Does anyone else feel that it is impossible to believe that it is the 4th of July already? We had a wonderful celebration with a picnic, waterski show and then fireworks!

SPLASH & RELAX

Once again my mind had started in a completely different direction! But, when the pieces were on my desk, the layout seemed to just work!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Poppy Parade cardstock was adhered behind the left side of a 3-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhered to the front.
The solid innertubes were stamped off, once with Poppy Parade and once with Blueberry Bushel Inks on Basic White cardstock. The coordinating filler innertubes were stamped full strength for a two-tone look. They were cut with the dies and added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The handles were cut with the die from Poppy Parade and Blueberry Bushel cardstocks and adhered to the innertubes.
The flip flops were cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and striped with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
The straps were cut with the die from Blueberry Bushel cardstock. They were adhered to the front of the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two small white Hues of Blue Flowers were added to the straps of the flipflops.
The sunglasses were cut from Poppy Parade and lenses from Blueberry Bushel cardstocks using the dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple small, white Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers were added to the lenses.
The greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the corners clipped in the upper left and lower right.
The word sunshine was stamped with Blueberry Bushel Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and trimmed, then added flat to the greeting.
The greeting was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Bundle 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Favorite New Bundle 2025”.

IMPRESSIONS ABLOOM

It was a toss-up between Impressions Abloom or Sunrise Sailing on which is my favorite new bundle right now! I went with the one that I’ve used the most! I also LOVE this Painted Stripes Background stamp but haven’t used it yet. With Memorial Day right around the corner, I made up a red, white and blue card using it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Painted Stripes Stamp using Poppy Parade Ink.
The oval from Impressions Abloom Dies was cut from Misty Moonlight and embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder, then adhered to the front.
Two large Impressions Abloom flowers were stamped off with Misty Moonlight ink, then the details with full Misty Moonlight Ink. The centers were stamped with Poppy Parade. They were cut with the outline and detail flower dies then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were all cut from Lemon Lime Twist. The fan flowers from Basic White cardstock. All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on 1/2 x 1-1/2 Basic White, the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the background.

SUOC177 Star of Light

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Patriotic Colors”. I wanted to use a brand new set, but nothing was inspiring me…then I saw the Christmas set, Star of Light, and decided the stars would work well for my patriotic card this week…either as stars or fireworks! I love when I can use sets for something different than what they were intended!

Here’s my card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Night of Navy cardstock was added across the front with a 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper added on top.
On the 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, the large star image was stamped with Real Red and Night of Navy Ink. The smaller single star with Real Red Ink a couple times, and the small trio of stars with Night of Navy Ink. It was added to the front.
The base Real Red cardstock also has the trio of stars stamped with Night of Navy Ink in the corners.
Let’s Celebrate from Confetti Celebrations was inked with Real Red and Night of Navy Markers, then stamped on Whisper White and punched with the Pretty Label Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A few more stars were added with Night of Navy Ink.
In the center of the stars/fireworks…whatever you think they are…are a couple small Clear Faceted Gems to make them sparkle!

SUOC 124 Stars and Stripes

It’s a fun challenge over on SUO Challenges this time…using Stars and Stripes in our projects! Now, it doesn’t HAVE to be patriotic, but of course that is where my mind went first thing! Here’s my creation! Note the chevron strips on the embossed background and the stripes in the Epic Alphabet! Fun, huh?

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red, folded in half.
The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Chevron pattern and layered on a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Night of Navy, and placed on the front of the card.
A 2 x 4-1/2 strip of Night of Navy was punched at the top with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.
The Star Framelits were used to cut the Dazzling Diamonds and Red Glimmer Paper, then placed on the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
USA was stamped with Real Red on a 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White, then layered on a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Real Red. It was placed across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, too!
Finally, the 1/4″ Real Red Cotton Ribbon was tied at the top of the tag in a bow!

CCMC331 Many Merry Stars

I know…it’s Thanksgiving! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone! I hope that you saw my Banner Blessings card that posted yesterday. Today for our Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge, I went with a Christmas card, mainly because after today everyone’s thoughts will be more firmly focused on Christmas! Have fun playing with this sketch, lots of great ideas from our Challenge Team this week! I originally said this was Festival of Trees, but actually it is the tree image in Many Merry Stars stamp set in the Holiday Supplement catalog!

Here’s my take on the sketch:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Real Red, folded in half.
On 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Sahara Sand, I added a 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 piece of Nordic Noel Designer Paper.
I covered the seam with a 1/4″ strip of Silver Glimmer Paper.
The Many Merry Stars tree image was stamped with Silver Ink on Real Red, Whisper White and Pacific Point, then used the Tree Punch to punch the images out. I lined them up in a row above the Glimmer Paper.
In the center of each tree, I added a Rhinestone Jewel.
Finally, I stamped Tis the Season with Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White and cut with the Project Life Framelits.

CCMC310 Beautiful Bunch (what else?)

OK…yes…just mildly obsessed with this stamp set, Beautiful Bunch, right now! lol! Can you take another one? It’s a color challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary and I’m LATE getting my card done (real late!), so decided to pull out the set that gives me the quickest inspiration! lol!

Such patriotic colors…tomorrow is the 4th of July ALREADY! The summer is going much too fast! That always feels like the halfway point for me! But here is my card:

And the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White folded in half.
I rounded the left side corners of the 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and placed on the base.
I used a 2 1/4 x 4 piece of red checked pattern from Maritime Designer Paper along the left side.
Next is a 4 x 3 1/4 piece of Whisper White that I rounded the corners on the left side.
I stamped the Flowering Flourishes (new to me!) with Coastal Cabana in the background.
Then I punched the flower from Beautiful Bunch twice with Real Red Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Fun Flower punch. I stamped the center with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White and punched with the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch. The flower is put together using Stampin’ Dimensionals on placed over the Flowering Flourish.
I stamped Happy Birthday from And Many More in Night of Navy Ink in the bottom right corner.
Finally, I used the light red Blendabilities marker and colored my Rhinestones red for the center of the flower and along the edge! Love being able to do that!

As a side note…could I get some PRAYERS for my husband today…he is at a very important job interview today…his 4th face-to-face interview with this company! I think Sweetbriar Rose is such a pretty stamp from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog! Of course, it is perfect for coloring with our Blendabilities (coming soon!) I’m still practicing, but they do make coloring pretty easy! I combined it with Maritime…I thought they two complimented each other really well!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock.
Across the bottom, I cut a 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of the red check pattern in Maritime Designer Paper, then added a 1 x 4 1/4 piece of the stripe pattern from the same package on top.
I stamped the Sweetbriar Rose on Whisper White with my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (necessary for the Blendabilities), and colored it with the Cherry Cobber and Old Olive Assortments.
I used my Oval Framelits to cut it out, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For a little extra touch, I added a blue Designer Button, tied with White Bakers Twine.

SUOC99 Be The Star

It’s time for a new challenge over on SUO Challenges! This time the theme is Summer: Ocean, Beach or Patriotic! That’s a nice range, so grab your stamps and play along!

I went with the Patriotic theme for mine using the new Stampin’ Up! Be The Star stamp set and Star Framelits!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Real Red, I embossed with the Stylish Stripes folder.
I added a panel of 1 1/4 x 4 Whisper White across the bottom. On the You’re a Star greeting from Pictogram Punches I inked up with Real Red and Pacific Point Markers. I punched the star from the new Silver Glimmer Paper and placed over the red star.
I stamped the Medium and Small stars from Be The Star with Pacific Point and Real Red and cut them out with the Star Framelits. I added them to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the centers I punched more Silver Glimmer stars and added them with Mini Glue Dots.
