CSF936 – Radiant Sunflowers

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a pretty color challenge for you this week!

RADIANT SUNFLOWERS

My original thought was pumpkins with these colors!  But then I decided to do something a little different.  I was wishing for a little green to go with my flowers…but the bronze leaves actually don’t look too out of place!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of grid Sunflower Fields DSP was added to the front.
  • A coordinating 1-1/2 x 4 strip of floral Sunflower Fields DSP was added to the bottom.
  • The Radiant Sunflower greeting was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on a 7/8 x 4 strip of Very Vanilla towards the right edge.  It was added across the top of the DSP.
  • The Radiant Sunflowers were cut with the Dies from Timid Tiger and Crisp Cantaloupe and the centers from Cajun Craze cardstocks.  They were adhered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were stamped with Basic Black Ink on Cajun Craze and cut with the Die.  They were tucked under the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the centers.  They are on the Last Chance List and I’m SO sad!  I love them!

CS261 – Simply Leaves

It’s a new month and we have a new Creatively Simple theme for September!  “Fall Flora” is our theme for the next several weeks!  I’ve already noticed some of the leaves starting to turn here in Ohio!

SIMPLY LEAVES

This was my swap card for the Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip back in June!  I liked the different colors I used.  Since I really didn’t have any current DSP in the colors I wanted to use, I created my own with strips of cardstock on the edge!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • 1/2″ x 5-1/2 strips of Blackberry Bliss, Pretty Peacock and Golden Glow cardstocks were adhered approx. 1/4″ from the right edge of the base card and overlapping to show only 1/4″ of each.
  • A 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the leaves EF from Seasonal Cheer Trio of Embossing Folders and adhere to the front on the left.
  • Stamp and punch the Blackberry Bliss leaf, the Golden Glow polka dot leaf and the vein Pretty Peacock leaf using same colored inks.
  • Stamp the checkered leaf with Old Olive Ink and hand-cut.
  • Assemble all on the front with Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock flat, the others with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp greeting with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock and cut end at an angle.  Add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tie a bow with Linen Thread and add to the stems with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Apply three green Natural Matte Dots to the background.

IM452 – Lily of the Valley

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a path of Lily of the Valley flowers!

LILY OF THE VALLEY

I guess I never really thought about where Lily of the Valley grow naturally!  I always think about them as a filler in a flower bouquet!  But I’d love to see this under the trees in my backyard!  Think I’ll try to grow them there!  I created a row of them on today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Valley in Bloom DSP was added on top.
  • The coordinating plaid was cut 1-1/2 x 4 and adhered down the center.
  • I used the new Noel Tidings oval Die and cut it from Basic White cardstock, then stamped the lily three times across the front with Basic Black Ink.  They were colored with Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blens.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I stamped the greeting from Lily of the Valley with Basic Black Ink on Pool Party and cut with the label in the Noel Tidings Dies.  It was added to the bottom of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two large green Shimmering Dots were added next to the greeting.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the center stem.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Bundle Sept 2026

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “Favorite New Sept-December Catalog Bundle”!

RADIANT SUNFLOWERS

I hemmed and hawed over what bundle to use.  There are so many that I really love in this new product offering!  I finally decided on Radiant Sunflowers because I knew I’d get a lot of use out of it…and because…it’s flowers!  I hadn’t used this single line-art sunflower before, so built my card around it!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of polka dot Sunflower Fields DSP was embossed with the Rustic Check Embossing Folder and added to the center.
  • Three sunflowers and six leaves were stamped with Basic Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Golden Glow and SU100 Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Radiant Sunflower dies and assembled on the DSP.
  • The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label in the Radiant Sunflowers Dies.
  • A trio of gold Radiant Gems were added to the background.

CSF935 – Oh My Fright

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week a fun sketch for you to use.

OH MY FRIGHT

You know I love my Halloween images!  This year’s Oh My Fright bundle has a cool spooky tree that I felt would work perfectly for this sketch!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was added to the front.
  • Three 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Frightfully Fun DSP were added to the center of the background.
  • The spooky tree from Oh My Fright Dies was cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered on the front towards the left side replacing the rectangle shape.
  • The moon was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The ghost and cloud were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the tree and beside the moon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two bats were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added on the moon and in the background, flat.
  • The greeting from Oh My Fright was stamped on 5/8 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and cut to a point on one end, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white Adhesive Backed Ghosts Bats & Dots were added to the background.

It’s a new month and we have a new Creatively Simple theme for August!  “The Mister” is for celebrating all the males in your life!

BBQ MASTER

This BBQ Master Bundle is a keeper for me!  I don’t have too many masculine sets that I’ve kept…but sports and BBQ are good for all the men in my life!  It’s on the Last Chance List, so make sure to grab yours today!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Secret Sea cardstock is embossed with the new (avail Sept 1) Rustic Check Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
  • The Everyday Arch was cut from Sweet as a Bug DSP and added to the front.
  • A 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the BBQ Master greeting in Secret Sea Ink towards the right side.  It is added across the front.
  • The burger, brat and spatula were all cut from Basic White cardstock, then colored with Light Pecan Pie, SU100 Brown, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Smoky Slate, Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  (So much faster than cutting them from individual colors!)
  • The burger and brat were added to the Basic White strip, flat.  The spatula is popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white Pearls of Beauty were added to the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a Halloween print!

WEB OF FUN

I focused mostly on the colors…black and orange and using a purple spider! I also liked the diamond shape in the background.  These LARGE greetings in the dies are so fun!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is4-1/4 x 11 Timid Tiger cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of black swirl Frightfully Fun DSP was added on top.
  • A 3 x 3 square of Basic Beige cardstock was stamped with the spiderweb from Web of Fun in Smoky Slate Ink, then the edges brushed with Basic Black Ink.  It was turned to a diamond shape and added to the center of the card.
  • The spider was cut from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and brushed with Basic Black Ink.  He was hung from a string of black Essentials Baker’s Twine with a Stampin’ Dimensional (the other end tucked behind the DSP).
  • Halloween was cut with the Die from Timid Tiger cardstock and added in the center.
  • Night was cut with the Die from Basic Black cardstock and adhered below (keep the dot for the i).
  • 31 was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink on 7/8 x 1-1/4 Basic Beige cardstock, then brushed with Basic Black Ink around the edges.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – National Relaxation Day

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “National Relaxation Day”!  What a fun day to celebrate!

SPLASH & RELAX

The only thing stamped on here is the greeting.  But, I love this ice cream parlor image in the Waterside Retreat Designer Paper package!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • Two 1 x 4 strips of woodgrain Waterside Retreat DSP were added to the sides.
  • A 3 x 4 piece of the ice cream parlor panel from Waterside Retreat DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock, then added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Relax & Enjoy from Splash & Relax stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Everyday Arches Die (love this small one as a label!)
  • Some Misty Moonlight Checkered Trim was wrapped around the side of the label and tied in a knot.  It was adhered to the front.
  • A trio of blue Scenic Sparkle Sequins were added to the label and background.
