CSF940 – Noel Tidings

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a pretty color challenge for you to try this week!

NOEL TIDINGS

These colors reminded me of Christmas, so I pulled out my Noel Tidings Bundle. I also remembered that Alpine Winter DSP has some pine branches images in it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4-1/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock (I slipped in as a neutral base) was embossed with the Softly Woven Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The pine branch print from Alpine Winter DSP was cut with the Everyday Arches Die and added towards the left side.
Three pine needle branches were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink on Peaceful Pink cardstock and cut with the Die.
Two pinecones were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Early Espresso cardstock and cut with the Dies.
The set of five berries were cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Die.
All were layered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals towards the right edge of the arch.
Season’s Greetings was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the letters, then cut apart. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and add between the pinecones.

CS265 – Radiant Sunflowers

It’s a last week of September and our last “Fall Flora” theme! We will have a new theme next week for October!

First…I want to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my sweet husband! It has been 47 years since we got married! SO hard to believe! Started out the day with gray clouds and a little rain but it cleared up by the time of the wedding, and it ended up a beautiful day! I’m blessed to have such a great guy by my side through life!

RADIANT SUNFLOWERS

I went with one of my favorites…Radiant Sunflowers Bundle…for my last Fall Flora card! All these pieces were already in my “starts” stash…I had started them for other projects but didn’t end up using them. Since I have all my stamping stamps and dies packed already for my trip to Florida, it came in handy to use them!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Sunflower Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of striped Radiant Foils DSP was added across the top.
The circle was punched from Very Vanilla using the 2-3/8 Circle Punch and stamped with the Radiant Sunflowers greeting in Old Olive Ink. It was added flat to the DSP.
Four leaves were stamped with Basic Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with Peaceful Pine and Old Olive Inks using Blending Brushes. They were cut with the Die.
The large and small sunflower were cut with the Dies from Daffodil Delight cardstock and brushed with Golden Glow Ink along the edges.
The large and small centers were cut from Early Espresso cardstock with the dies and brushed with Early Espresso Ink.
The flowers and leaves were added next to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A large and small gold Radiant Gems were added to the center of the sunflowers. (I would have added another one under YOU, but they were already packed away!

IM456 – Winter Adventures

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a wintery scene!

WINTER ADVENTURES

Ugh…does anyone else feel the pain of cutting into these gorgeous scenery images that are full sheets in the DSP packages? I really wanted to use the part with the cabins for this card…but it was hard cutting into the sheet! And I love reverse side, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The Alpine Winter DSP was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and added to the front.
The snowshoes were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock using the Die and one added flat to the front and the other added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two evergreen/acorn branches were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink and colored with the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Die and added to the snowshoes.
The bow was stamped with Basic Black Ink and colored with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, then added to the pine branches with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The greeting was stamped with Basic Black Ink on 3/8 x 3 Cloud Cover and the end cut into a point. It was tucked under the bow and adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The snowflake pair was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and added to the snowshoes.
One large and two small Cloud Cover Moody Palette Glossy Dots were added to the center of the snowflakes and above the greeting.

Definitely one of my favorite bundles this year…of course, I love anything with snow, snowmen or snowflakes! OK, check out Debbie’s Inspiration Monday card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Saturday Blog Hop – Flowers for Fall

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Flowers for Fall!

FLOWERING MEADOW

So many choices! I wanted to use a more “unexpected” set…and settled on Flowering Meadow with a fall color twist! I’m in LOVE with the new Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies!!!! These dies will be a staple in my studio long after Christmas is over…hope Stampin’ Up! keeps them around!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Golden Glow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Autumn Opulence DSP was adhered down the center (LOVE the colors in this sheet!)
The 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Pecan Pie cardstock was embossed with the Softly Woven Embossing Folder and added towards the left side.
The scallop rectangle was cut from Golden Glow cardstock using the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies an added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower heads from Flowering Meadow were stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then stamped off for a lighter version. The stems were stamped under the lighter version with Peaceful Pine Ink. The centers were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink. They were cut with the dies an added to the front.
The leaf clusters were cut three times with the Flowering Meadow Die from Peaceful Pine cardstock and tucked around the flowrs.
Just Because was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and trimmed.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem.

CSF939 – Oh My Fright

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a fun sketch challenge for you to try this week!

OH MY FRIGHT

I couldn’t decide between Christmas or Halloween…but the Frightening Fun DSP won out in the end because I love these spooky trees in the background!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blackberry Bliss cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of spooky trees in the Frightening Fun DSP was added on top.
Two 2 x 2 squares of Basic White cardstock were brushed with Blackberry Bliss Ink. One was stamped with the spiderweb in the lower left corner using stamped off Gray Granite Ink. They were added at opposite angles on the front.
The moon was cut with the Die from Daffodil Delight cardstock, the cloud from Basic White cardstock, the bat trio from Basic Black cardstock. They were adhered to the front and the bats added with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The ghost was stamped with Basic Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the die, then added to the bottom square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Basic Black Ink on 1/2 x 3 Gray Granite cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of black Adhesive Backed Bags Ghosts & Dots were added to the background.

It’s funny that I don’t use a lot of Blackberry Bliss, but seem to be using it a lot this fall and Halloween! OK, check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

September is flying by, isn’t it? This week we are continuing with our monthly Creatively Simple theme “Fall Flora”!

THANKS & GIVING

I really like this stamp set…another one that is in the September Online Exclusives that you can easily miss!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the wreath in Basic Black Ink and colored with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.
Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Autumn Opulence DSP were added to each side.
Two pumpkins were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Basic Black Ink and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Blends, then hand-cut.
The small branch die from Fern & Flora was cut twice from Old Olive and twice from Cajun Craze and adhered to the wreath. The pumpkins were added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the pumpkins.
Give Thanks from Thanks & Giving was stamped with Cajun Craze on 5/8 x 3 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the ends banner cut. It was added to the front across the bottom.

IM455 – Noel Tidings

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is evergreen branches!

NOEL TIDINGS

I like the evergreen wreath in the Noel Tidings Dies! I’ve combined it with the pine needle swags and acorns!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peaceful Pine cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of gold metallic leaf print Neutral Noel DSP was added on top.
A 2-¾ x 4-½ piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the oval shape Die. A Blending Brush added Golden Glow Ink to the center. The greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink in center and the oval adhered to the DSP on the base card.
The 4-1/4 x 5-1/4 Peaceful Pine cardstock was cut with the pine wreath die and was adhered around the edges of the oval.
On 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 Basic White c/s, two pine needle fronds were stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink, two pinecones with Pecan Pie Ink and the double and single berries with Poppy Parade Ink.
The pinecones were colored Pecan Pie Blends and the berries with Poppy Parade Blends. All were cut with the Dies and added to the bottom left side of the pine wreath (leave a gap for the bow).
A 8″ piece of Neutral Jute Combo (brown) was tied in a bow and added to the center of the pine fronds with Mini Glue Dots.
Three gold Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background around greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Happy Fall Y’All

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Happy Fall Y’all! That’s a pretty wide-open topic this week!

FALL FOR FUN

I love the scarecrow in this Fall for Fun Bundle, but the other elements are really nice, too! This card is one that I originally was going to do in my August class but used the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle for them instead. So, that means I can share this one with you here!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Golden Glow cardstock, scored at 2-1/8 on each end for the gate fold.
Cut FOUR 1-7/8 x 5-1/4 pieces of Glow of Harvest DSP and adhere to the front panels and inside panels of the base card. (You could use two of two different patterns, if desired.)
On a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the scarecrow with Basic Black Ink in the lower right corner and watercolor with Cloud Cover, Peaceful Pine, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Golden Glow Ink Pads.
Stamp the greeting with Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper left corner.
Adhere the Very Vanilla c/s to a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and adhere inside the gatefold card.
Cut 1-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock and score only at 2″. Place around the gatefold base card with scoreline on the left side and fold to the front center. Repeat with the right side creasing where it naturally lands on the front.
On the 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 Very Vanilla c/s, stamp the bale of straw, flag with greeting, and three flowers with Basic Black Ink. Stamp the leaves with Golden Glow Ink in the upper left corner. Stamp the grass along the bottom with Peaceful Pine Ink. Watercolor with the same colors as above.
On a 1 x 1 piece of Very Vanilla c/s, stamp the crow with Basic Black Ink and watercolor with Basic Black and Golden Glow Inks. Cut with the Die and add to the bale of straw with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla square to a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 layer of Misty Moonlight and use Tear & Tape to add to the ends of the Pecan Pie belly band. Make sure the belly band will slide easily over the gatefold base card.
Add 1 large and 1 small dark blue Dewdrops Embellishments to the front and one small inside next to the scarecrow.
Tie a bow with Linen Thread and add on the flagpole with a Mini Glue Dot.
