IM290 – Earthen Textures

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a trio of stoneware pots! Love the designs on these.

EARTHEN TEXTURES

I pulled and my Earthen Textures to make a trio of pots for my card and did a little Blending Brush ink color on the front of this card to give some movement in the background.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Copper Clay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla was colored in the background with Copper Clay Ink using the Blender Brush.
- A 1 x 4-1/2 piece of Earthen Elegance was added to the bottom.
- The medium pot was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Very Vanilla and hand-cut so I could get a border around the edge.
- The large pot, small pot and top were all cut with the smaller and larger pot and handle dies from Earthen Textures DSP.
- Some Natural Wavy Trim was wrapped around the larger pot three times and adhered in the back.
- All the pots were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Earthen Textures was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on a 1 x 2-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of copper Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to the background.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Mellow Yellow

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! For the next few weeks, our themes will feature songs that have color names in their title! This week’s song is “Mellow Yellow” by Donovan. Our cards will have a shade of yellow theme!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I used two shades of yellow on my card…I was shocked how much darker Daffodil Delight is compared to Lemon Lolly! I guess I hadn’t put the two of them together before now! I also used my new Wanted to Say Dies…LOVE them! Hope they come out with a Christmas edition…wouldn’t that be fun with Let it Snow, Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings, Peace on Earth, Silent Night…I could go on and on!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Translucent Florals leaf branch several times using Gray Granite Ink along the left side.
The small flower bud in Translucent Florals stamp set was stamped four times with Lemon Lolly Ink and three times with Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Translucent Florals Dies. They were added to the leaves with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Feel Better Soon from Wanted To Say Dies was cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock and the shadow from Gray Granite cardstock. I love how the gray really does look like a shadow! It was popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some yellow Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to the background for a little bling.

Many of you probably don’t know that I was diagnosed last August with a rare auto-immune disease that had me hospitalized for seven weeks with partial paralysis and required intensive rehab to learn to stand and walk again. Today, I am beyond blessed to be where am health wise. Although I still suffer with some residual issues, I am walking and moving around well. I’m so thankful that my Stampin’ Up! business could be put on pause while I recovered. Thanks to my customers, downline, and you all for hanging with me!

IM289 – Paper Florist

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Isn’t this a fun outdoor balloon photo backdrop?

PAPER FLORIST DIES

I’ve been wanting to try the floating circle technique, and this turned out really cute and was very easy to do!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the 3D Basics Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
- Several 1/2 strips of Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Les Shoppes Designer Paper were adhered to a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 Window Sheet, then cut with the largest Stylish Shapes Circle Die.
- The greeting from Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped on one of the strips with Memento Black Ink.
- The flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock, five petal flowers for the leaves from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, and the centers with Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Paper Florist Dies. They were added together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background.

DARLING DETAILS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added on top.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was cut with the larger eyelet frame from the Darling Details Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Darling Details greeting in Misty Moonlight Ink towards the right side. It was tucked under the eyelet frame towards the bottom.
The large blossom, blossom bud, and half blossom solid image was stamped with Boho Blue Ink and the outlines with Misty Moonlight Inks on Basic White cardstock.
The stem and leaves were stamped with solid stamped OFF Old Olive and full Old Olive Ink for outline and veins on Basic White cardstock.
All were cut with the Darling Details Dies and assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of crystal Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

I love these border frames and the color combo of Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight! Perfect for today’s “Blue” theme! CS97 – Mini Pocket Envelope

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Dies! So many awesome dies in the catalog that can almost make the card by themselves!

MINI POCKET ENVELOPE DIES

I was excited to see that the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies were on the Online Exclusives list! They are perfect for holding a special message or I use them a lot on the INSIDE of cards for a gift card pocket! Here the gift card pocket is on the outside!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic Black cardstock.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist is embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder and added to the base.
A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Zoo Crew DSP is added on the front.
The Mini Pocket Envelope (Online Exclusive) was cut from coordinating Zoo Crew DSP with the Die, adhered to form the pocket, then added to the front of the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/4 x 3-3/8 strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was placed towards the bottom of the envelope for the “ground”.
One of the animals from the Zoo Crew DSP was hand-cut, then colored with Smoky Slate Ink Pad and Water Painter and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends for the cheeks and ears. The ground was colored with Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the envelope with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Just for You from Charming Sentiments stamp set was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Mini Pocket Envelope oval die. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the envelope, too.

IM288 – Two Tone Flora

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week we have some delicious looking mini cakes!

TWO-TONE FLORA

I struggled getting just the right shades of pinks for this card…the retired Polished Pink would have been perfect for the brightest pink! Oh well, I think it turned out fine with the colors I used!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was blended with Sweet Sorbet Ink across the bottom, Flirty Flamingo Ink across the center and Petal Pink across the top using a Blending Brush.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Vellum Cardstock was cut with the Two-Tone Floral background Die and added over the colored Basic White layer, then added to the front.
- The larger flower from Two-Tone Flora was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink solid and Sweet Sorbet Ink detail on Basic White cardstock. The smaller flower with Petal Pink Ink solid and Flirty Flamingo Ink detail. The branch leaves were stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink. All were cut with the Two-Tone Flora dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A large bow of silver Simply Elegant Trim was added under the blossoms.
- Happy Birthday from Very Best Occasions stamp set was stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink on Basic White and hand-cut around the letters, then added under the blossoms with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The vellum just softens those colors so well! I need to use it more often! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!
