CCMC771 – Let’s Go Fishing

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a great sketch challenge for you to try this week!

LET’S GO FISHING

My Go Fishing Bundle hasn’t arrived yet, but I needed a masculine card and this sketch worked perfectly with the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Cut TWO 4 x 5-1/4 pieces of reversible Let’s Go Fishing DSP and cut across top at an angle. You will be able to get TWO cards just by reversing the top portion on each side! Adhere one set to front.
A 2-3/4 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was added to the front.
The 3/8 x 5-1/2 strip of Pecan Pie was added over the right side of the Very Vanilla on the front.
Three different sized fish were cut from the Let’s Go Fishing DSP and added to the front with Stampn’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Boho Blue, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the Pecan Pie strip.

CS93 – Taco Fiesta

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is New Colors! We will design our cards using any of the new colors introduced in the Annual Catalog!

TACO FIESTS

This set is SO fun and I had a blast coloring in these little images with several of the new core colors! I used two images I hadn’t used before…the pinata and the cactus! Happy birthday to ME…it’s today!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lolly cardstock was added on top.
A 1 x 3 strip of Bright & Beautiful DSP was added to the left side.
The 2-3/4 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was colored with the “grass” using the Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.
The pinata, cactus, face and hat were all stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then colored with Berry Burst Combo, Lemon Lime Twist Combo, Lemon Lolly Combo and Bubble Bath Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of blue Ombre Matte Decorative Dots were added to the background.
The greeting was stamped under the stamped panel with Memento Black Ink.

Saturday Blog Hop – Birthday Bash

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Birthday Bash”. Since it is my birthday this week, I thought it would be a PERFECT theme! And we can always use birthday card ideas, right? I love stamp sets that make creating easy…Inked & Tiled is one of those stamp sets! It comes with punches, but I didn’t even use those on this card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Majestically Made DSP was added to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sweet Sorbet cardstock, then to the front.
The largest Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock, then stamped with the flower cluster inked with Sweet Sorbet, Crushed Curry and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers. The circle was added to the front.
A 1/2 x 4 strip of Majestically Made DSP was added across the bottom.
Happy Birthday from Inked & Tiled was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Daffodil Delight, then hand-cut around it, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added next to the greeting.
A trio of Old Olive Ombre Matte Decorative Dots were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is New Color! We will design our cards using this theme of NEW colors introduced in the Annual Catalog!

DARLING DETAILS

You all know that I love me a good flower set. The Darling Details set is contemporary and easy to use! I’ve made my card using one of the stand-alone dies for a quick and easy card in my FAVORITE new colors…Lemon Lolly and Lemon Lime Twist! SO luscious!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Glorious Gingham was added to the front.
A 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock was added across the front.
The next to largest Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Basic White and stamped with the greeting from Darling Details in Memento Black Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The stand-alone flower cluster was cut from Basic White cardstock with the die, then sponged with Lemon Lolly centers and Lemon Lime Twist leaves and stem. It was added to the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Tinsel Four-Pack Gems were added to the flower centers and background.

CS91 – Hey Chuck

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Welcome! We will design our cards using this theme of NEW Annual Catalog products!

HEY CHUCK

This set is the latest of three different chicken sets that Stampin’ Up! has made…this one is the cutest in my opinion! I didn’t purchase the last two, but this one hopped into my order!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Earthen Elegance DSP was added towards the right side.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of Copper Clay cardstock was added across the front towards the bottom and stamped with the Hey Chuck greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The sun was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Hey Chuck Dies and added to the front.
The chicken was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copper Clay, Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, SU1000 and Calypso Coral Stampin Blends. It was cut with the Hey Chuck Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Sparkle Gems were added to the sun and greeting strip.

IM282 – Little Monkey

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Look at this fun monkey cake…perfect for a birthday party or baby shower, don’t you think?

LITTLE MONKEY

The little monkeys in this stamp set are SO cute! This one I have sitting on a branch eating a banana!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Azure Afternoon cardstock is embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder.
- I used one of my leftover Basic White inside pieces of the Darling Details border frames and stamped the tree branch several times with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
- The Little Monkey greeting was also stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- The monkey and banana were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, the cheeks with Flirty Flamingo Blends. The banana was colored with Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Cut a Rug

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Cut a Rug”. Lots of new Dies available in the new Annual Catalog…we are featuring our favorites this week! You are getting a “two-fer” this week from me…these were the Mother’s Day cards I made using the Darling Details Bundle…I LOVE these eyelet dies! My mom loves corals, and my mother-in-law loves purples! I just switched out the layout a little to make them even more different.

DARLING DETAILS

Stampin’ Details Card 1:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White was cut with the larger Darling Details eyelet Die.
A 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 piece of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Basics 3D crosshatch folder, then adhered to the back of the eyelet cutout, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flowers were stamped with Calypso Coral outlines and Petal Pink Ink insides, the leaves with Granny Apple Green outsides/veins and Lemon Lime Twist Ink insides on Basic White cardstock. The centers with Daffodil Delight Ink. They were cut with the Darling Details Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were colored with the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends, then added to the background.

Stampin’ Details Card 2:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White was cut with the larger Darling Details eyelet Die.
A 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 piece of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Basics 3D crosshatch folder, then adhered to the back of the eyelet cutout, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flowers were stamped with Gorgeous Grape outlines and Fresh Freesia Ink insides, the leaves with Granny Apple Green outsides/veins and Lemon Lime Twist Ink insides on Basic White cardstock. The centers with Daffodil Delight Ink. They were cut with the Darling Details Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Darling Details greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of gold Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

CCMC768 – Darling Details

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a fun color combination for you to try this week!

DARLING DETAILS

I think this is one of my favorite flower sets right now. And I love the eyelet border dies! I used the INSIDE of the border die that I had left over from another card I made. I thought it looked just as pretty as the border one!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Hello Irresistible Designer Paper was added across the middle of the front.
The inside of the largest Darling Details scallop border die was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Darling Details was stamped with Calypso Coral Ink in the upper right corner.
The large flower was stamped with Calypso Coral Ink on the Hello Irresistible Designer Paper and the leaves stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on the Hello Irresistible DSP, too. They were cut with the Darling Details Dies and added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (I cut apart the leaves and put one on one side and two on the other side.
The cluster stem of flowers was cut with the Darling Details Die from Petal Pink cardstock, then the stem and leaves colored with the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends. It was tucked under the flower and adhered.
A trio of Ombre Matte Decorative Dots were added to the background.
