CS90 – Paper Florist

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Welcome! We will design our cards using this theme of NEW Annual Catalog products!

PAPER FLORIST DIES

This set of Paper Florist Dies really caught my eye and I knew they had to be on my very first order! LOVE them to create a quick & easy card…perfect for our Creatively Simple challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Berry Burst cardstock was embossed with the new Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. The edges were sponged with Berry Burst Ink.
The Paper Florist Die flower petals were cut from Basic White cardstock. I used one large and two small. The centers were cut with the Dies from Daffodil Delight, again two small and one large. The fern leaves were cut from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock, the smaller leaves from Garden Green cardstock. All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Go to Greetings was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added to the front.
A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Put Some Bling On It

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Put Some Bling On It”. Stampin’ Up! has so many fun, new embellishments…it is hard to choose! I ended up using two different types of bling on my card!

TROPICAL LEAF

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was cut with the Radiating Stitches large die. It was added to the front.
A 1/2 x 4 strip of More Dazzle Specialty Paper was added across the center of the Lemon Lime Twist layer.
The next size rectangle from Radiating Stitches was cut from Basic White cardstock, the stems were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink towards the left. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large Tropical Leaf (Online Exclusive) was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Lemon Lime Twist Ink and Granny Apple Green for the veins, then punched with the Tropical Leaf Punch (Online Exclusive). The two smaller leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut. They were all added to the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from Tropical Leaf stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and cut with the circle Radiating Stitches Die, then added to a 1/4 x 2-1/2 strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock, then to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The end was cut an an angle.
A trio of gold Adhesive Backed Pastel Sequins were added to the leaf and the background for a little bling!

CCMC767 – Taco Fiesta

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a fun sketch for you to try this week! It’s perfect for those little images!

TACO FIESTA

This set is new for me…I just couldn’t resist it any more! When I saw it would be in the new catalog, it just jumped right onto my order! Love it combined with some new colors, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist is embossed with the polka dot Basics 3D Embossing Folders (Online Exclusive).
The 2″ circles were punched from Bright & Beautiful DSP and Lemon Lolly cardstock and added to the front.
The 1/2 x 3-1/2 strips of Pretty Peacock and Bubble Bath cardstocks were added across the front.
The greeting from Taco Fiesta was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 3/4 x 2 piece of Basic White and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The taco and chips were stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Lemon Lolly Combo, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Real Red, Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Some Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background!

CS89 – Beautiful Balloons

BEAUTIFUL BALLOONS

I had originally started this card for another project but didn’t finish it. I decided to use the elements I started for today’s card, so it did come together VERY easily!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock was embossed with the polka dot Basics 3D embossing folder and adhered on front.
A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper was added across the front.
The large balloon cluster was cut with the Beautiful Balloons Dies from Bright & Beautiful DSP. It was added to the top of a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock.
The strings were stamped with Lemon Lolly Ink under the balloons. Yay You was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The star was cut with the Beautiful Ballons Dies from Lemon Lolly cardstock and added to the balloon.
Some yellow Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to the balloons.
The silver Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the balloon with a Mini Glue Dot.

IM280 – Textured Floral

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week is a very pretty wedding theme color combination!

TEXTURED FLORAL

I thought this would be a pretty wedding card, even though I did put a birthday greeting on mine. I couldn’t think of a wedding coming up that I would use it…so birthday seemed a better use for me! Don’t you LOVE these new colors together?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3 x 5 piece of Boho Blue In Color 6×6 DSP was added to the left side.
- A 2-3/8″ circle was punched from Basic White c/s and stamped with the Textured Floral greeting in Boho Blue Ink. It was adhered to the front.
- The large flower from Textured Floral stamp set was stamped with Boho Blue, the two medium flowers with Bubble Bath Ink and Moody Mauve Ink centers, the smallest with Moody Mauve Ink, the leaves with stamped off Smoky Slate Ink. All were cut with the Textured Floral Dies. They were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals around the left side of the circle.
- The center of the large flower was cut from Moody Mauve cardstock and adhere to the center of the flower.
- A trio of pink Three Pack Tinsel Gems were added to the circle and background of the card.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – DSP Lovers

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Designer Paper Lovers”. So many of Stampin’ Up!’s designer papers are gorgeous and can completely stand-alone without many embellishments! The new Masterfully Made Designer Paper was a complete shock to me! I absolutely LOVE this paper! So unique and the colors are beautiful! On this card, only the greeting is stamped!

TIMELESS ARRANGEMENTS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist is added on top.
The Masterfully Made DSP was cut to 3-3/4 x 5, then adhered to the front.
The Timeless Arrangements label was cut from Basic White cardstock and the Timeless Arrangements greeting stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink.
A 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of More Dazzled Specialty Paper was added under the greeting label.
The greenery image was cut from Pretty Peacock with the Timeless Arrangements Die and added behind the greeting label, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A pink 4 pack Tinsel Gem was added next to the greeting.

CCMC766 – Countryside Corners

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Some NEW In Colors in our color challenge this week! I loved this combination!

COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS

I wasn’t sure about this set at first…but then I realized that it is a large background stamp and the dies cut it into different sizes! How fun!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added on top.
The 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Copper Clay cardstock was added next.
The Countryside Corners stamp was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Countryside Corners Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Timeless Arrangements was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Boho Blue cardstock, then adhered on front.
The flowers were punched with the Petal Park Builder Punch from Copper Clay cardstock and edges sponged with Copper Clay Ink. They were folded and layered for dimension and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of blue Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to the flower centers and background.

CS88 – Cheerful Daisies

CHEERFUL DAISIES

I really do like this new Cheerful Daisies Bundle…especially this large floral daisy cluster die! And I LOVE the new Lemon Lolly color! So soft and pretty!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lolly cardstock is embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder.
A 1/2 x 4-3/4 strip of Soft Sea Foam was stamped with the Cheerful Daisies greeting in Memento Black Ink and added to the front.
The large floral image was cut with the Cheerful Daisies Dies from Basic White cardstock. The centers were colored iwth Daffodil Delight Ink and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.
