CCMC761 – Petal Park

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Another great sketch this week to inspire you!

PETAL PARK

I decided to flip the sketch this week! The images I wanted to use just seemed to work out better that way.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4 piece of Fancy Flora Designer Paper was added across the front towards the left side.
The Basic White piece was cut with the Radiating Stitches Dies, then stamped with the leaves in Evening Evergreen Ink for the outline and insides with Soft Succulent Ink. It was adhered to the front.
A 1/4 x 5 strip of Orchid Oasis cardstock was added down the left side.
The flowers were stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink for the outline and insides with Fresh Freesia Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock. They were punched with the Petal Park Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some In Color Matte Dots were added to the centers of the flowers.
The greeting from Irresistible Blooms was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut around the letters and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC760 – Irresistible Blooms

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Such a soft color combination to inspire you this week!

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I really liked using the Gray Granite Ink for the outline of the flowers. Since the outline is a bolder width, the lighter color softened it a bit!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Gray Granite cardstock was cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies, then adhered across a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock. It was adhered with Monoadhesive Glue to the front towards the bottom.
The greeting was stamped with Soft Succulent Ink on the front.
The large and small flowers were stamped with Gray Granite Ink and the leaves with Soft Succulent Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies.
The flowers were colored with Pale Papaya Combo and leaves with Soft Succulent Combo Blends. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of In Color Opal Rounds (three medium, three small) were added to each of the centers of the flowers for a little sparkle!

CS82 – Rhino Ready

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Animals! We will design our cards using this theme!

RHINO READY

Don’t you just LOVE the new Online Exclusive bundle, Rhino Ready? SOOO darling! I showed my rhino getting her wild on by dressing her up in purple polka dots! Reminds me of the Dr. Suess book, “Put me in the Zoo”! I must have read that a hundred times to my kids!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Starry Sky cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Butterfly Wishes DSP was added on top of the base card.
A 1 x 4-1/4 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock was cut to a point at one end and added to the front.
The 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Basic White has the greeting from Rhino Ready stamped with Starry Sky Ink at the top and the grass stamped along the bottom with Parakeet Party Ink, then colored with Light Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends. It was adhered to the front.
Another clump of grass was stamped with Parakeet Party Ink on scrap Basic White, colored and cut out with the Rhino Ready Dies, then added with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the bottom.
The rhino was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the polka dot pattern in Butterfly Wishes DSP and cut with the Rhino Ready Dies. Her horn and tail were colored with Dark Gray Granite Blends, the toenails with Calypso Coral Blends.
The bird and party blower were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White, colored with Calypso Coral and Parakeet Party Blends and cut with the Dies. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the background.

IM273 – Quiet Meadow

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a beautiful quilt to inspire you today!

QUIET MEADOW

I looked thru all my stamp sets to find one similar to the flower on this quilt! This was the closest one I could find, and I think it works pretty well!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder.
- Four Stylish Shapes squares were cut from Basic White cardstock, one was stamped with the Quiet Meadows greeting in Memento Black Ink.
- Three flowers were stamped with Versamark on Crumb Cake cardstock and White Embossed. The centers were colored with Dark Daffodil Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to three of the squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Adhesive Backed Milky Dots were added to the background squares!

CCMC759 – Tropical Leaf

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This turned out to be a very fun sketch to use this week!

TROPICAL LEAF

Here’s another new Online Exclusive Bundle from Stampin’ Up! called Tropical Leaf! It has a stamp set and coordinating punch! I’ve always loved monstera leaves and saw PLENTY of them in Maui a couple years ago on Stampin’ Up!’s Incentive Trip when we took the Road to Hana!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Parakeet Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped off using Shaded Spruce Ink with the smaller monstera leaf randomly all over. The leaf veins were stamped with full strength Shaded Spruce Ink on top.
The speckle stamp from Irresistible Blooms was stamped randomly with Parakeet Party Ink all over the background.
The Basic White panel was added to two 2 x 2-3/4 panels of Flowers & More Designer Paper (Host), then adhered to the front.
A 1/2 x 4 strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock was added across the front.
The greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink and cut with the Painted Labels Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The larger monstera leaf was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Parakeet Party cardstock and the veins with Memento Black Ink. It was punched with the Tropical Leaf Punch and added under the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of black Classic Matte Dots were added in the background.

CS81 – Perched in a Tree

PERCHED IN A TREE

I love this fat little bird in the Perched in a Tree Stamp Set! So cute! Did you know robins actually come in different colors? I went with the yellow/gold breasted robin for today’s card! I can’t wait to begin seeing the robins come back to Ohio…that means SPRING!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Gray cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was embossed with the Fall Leaf Embossing Folder (it’s back as an Online Exclusive item!)
The bird and tree limb were stamped with Basic Gray Ink on Basic White cardstock.
The bird was colored with Gray Granite Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo Stampin’ Blends. The tree limb with Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. Both were cut with the Aspen Dies. The tree limb was added to the front of the card.
The leaves were cut with the Aspen Dies from Parakeet Party cardstock and sponged with Parakeet Party Ink, then added to the front.
The bird was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Sweet Songbirds was stamped with Basic Gray Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends trimmed at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of gold Milky Dots were added to the background.

IM272 – Playing in the Rain

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. I always like when we have cake decorating inspirations! I’m amazed at what they can do with fondant and frosting! This turtle cake is darling!

PLAYING IN THE RAIN

This Playing in the Rain Bundle is one of my favorites in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog! Love the little animals! Of course, the turtle in this set was perfect for the inspiration challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 2 x 4 piece of Enjoy the Journey Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
- A 1/4 x 4 strip of Pool Party cardstock was added to the top of the DSP.
- Four circles were cut with the Online Exclusive Dies, Radiating Stitches, from Basic White cardstock and added above the 1/4 strip. Another 1/4 x 4 strip of Pool Party cardstock was added on top of the circles.
- The greeting from Playing in the Rain was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- The turtle was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and water colored with the Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker. The rest was colored with the Pool Party Combo Stampin’ Blends. The flower with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Playing in the Rain Dies and added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Four blue Solid Faceted Gems were added inside the circles for a little bling!

EASTER BUNNY

I love the sweet little faces on the bunnies in the Easter Bunny stamp set…but they aren’t just for Easter! Here’s a cute little card suitable for ANY occasion!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mint Macaron cardstock is added on top.
The 2-1/2 x 5 piece of Mint Macaron Country Gingham Designer Paper was added down the center.
The 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the “Hi” greeting from Easter Bunny stamp set with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
A 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was torn across the top, then added to the bottom of the Basic White for the “ground”
The bunny and three carrots from Easter Bunny Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock. The bunny was colored with SU500, SU600, Crumb Cake Combo and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. The carrots were colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
The bunny was punched using the Easter Bunny Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The carrots were hand-cut and placed in the “ground” with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
A trio of orange Iridescent Pastel Gems were added to the background.
