CCMC757 – Lucky Clover

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week is a fun sketch challenge!

LUCKY CLOVER

Such a fun sketch! This card came together really quickly! And it is the first of three cards I made this week using this set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Parakeet Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Green Garden cardstock was added on top.
The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic White cardstock has four 1″ strips of In Color DSP added to the front, then added to the base card.
Good Luck was stamped with Parakeet Party Ink on scrap Basic White and cut with the Painted Labels Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The four leaf clover from Lucky Clover was stamped with Garden Green Ink and punched with the Lucky Clover Punch (or cut it out!) and added to the front by the label.
Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the center of the clover with a Mini Glue Dot.
Three gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background. (Don’t they almost look like gold coins being scattered in the background?)

Saturday Blog Hop – Luck of the Irish

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Luck of the Irish…any color of green cards! Since we are so close to St. Patrick’s Day, I did my Gnome Leprechaun again!

LEPRECHAUN GNOME

Isn’t he cute? I love the “red” beard on this one. (Check out Thursday’s post if you want to see the other Gnome Leprechaun card I made.)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock is embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder and added on top.
A 1 x 4-1/2 strip of Garden Lane Designer Paper was added across the front, then a 3/4 x 3 placed on top of that.
A 1/8 x 4-3/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock added on top.
The scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched So Sweeting Dies and added on top.
The gnome hat was punched from Garden Green cardstock with the Tree Builder Punch, the nose is 1/2″ Circle Punch from Petal Pink cardstock, the beard is the leaf shape from Tropical Dies cut from Cajun Craze cardstock. The feet are punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Perennial Flower Punch.
The Basic Black band is a 1/8″ strip punched with the Tree Builder Punch, then added to the hat. The buckle is a 1/4 x 1/4 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.
He is adhered together and added to the scallop rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the small label in Stitched So Sweetly Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Shades of Green

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! Continuing with our celebrations…this week our Design Team will be featuring Shades of Green (or St. Patrick’s Day!) With no St. Patrick’s Day stamps in the catalogs, except for the greeting in Teeny Tiny Wishes, I had to get creative!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5 x 10 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5 and folded.
Four 2×2 panels of green stripe Tutti-Frutti Designer Paper were added on front.
Four Sweet & Sassy Hearts were cut with the Framelits from the Lemon Lime Twist check pattern in Tutti-Frutti DSP, and added to the squares.
Smaller hearts were cut with the framelits from Garden Green cardstock and added to the larger hearts.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day was stamped with Garden Green Ink on a strip of Whisper White and adhered to the panel.
A Gold Faceted Gem was placed in the center where the squares come together.

Don’t you love the shades of green and the easy four leaf clover it made? FUN!

Saturday Blog Hop – Going Green

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team Blog Hop! This week’s theme is Going Green…in honor of St. Patrick’s Day next week. But, the design team could use anything…as long as the predominant colors on the card were green. I don’t send out many St. Patrick’s Day cards, but thought I’d send out some to my grandkids. Of course, when I mailed my Valentine’s Day cards last month all at the SAME time from the SAME place in town, they got them on 3 different days! Crazy! I’d better get these out early!

Here are the details. I used two greens…Emerald Envy and Cucumber Crush for my Irish theme.

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Emerald Envy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is on top.
A 2 x 4 piece of Affectionately Yours Designer Paper is adhered at the bottom, then a 1/4 x 4 strip of Emerald Envy cardstock placed across the top to hide the seam.
The large bear from Bear Hugs stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then watercolored with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad and AquaPainter. The ground was watercolored with Emerald Envy Ink.
It was layered on a 3 x 3-3/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The hat and bow were stamped with Memento Black on Cucumber Crush, then cut with the Bear Hugs Framelits and added to the bear.
The greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Emerald Envy cardstock. The banner from Thoughtful Banners was stamped with Emerald Envy Ink around the greeting. It was punched with the Banner Punch. It was added over the bear with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two stars from the Metallic Enamel Shapes was added to the sides of the banner.
