It's time for another Thursday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary! It's a fun sketch this week!

I pulled out Timeless Talk…one that I haven't used in a long time! I paired it with the I Am Me Designer Paper.

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Smoky Slate, folded in half.
I embossed the 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Real Red with the Arrows Embossing Folder.
I cut three 3/4" x 4 1/4 strips of the striped paper in I Am Me DSP and layered them across the front.
The phone was stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White and cut with the Circle Framelit, then added to a Starburst Framelit of Daffodil Delight. I added an Itty Bitty flower of Real Red, then a Candy Dot base and Daffodil Delight Candy Dot to the center. It's popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I tucked the small Starburst of Pool Party under the larger one, then added a Metal button tied with Twine leftover from the Happenings Simply Created Kit.
The Hello There greeting was stamped with Black Stazon in the Word Bubble, then cut out by hand.

I thought some of the Just Sayin' greetings would be cute, too, but didn't want to add a THIRD set of framelits to my card! lol!

It's time for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013 Saturday challenge…it is a GORGEOUS color combination, using a couple of the NEW In Colors…so soft and delicious!

Here is my card using this fun color challenge and one of the sets we featured this week…Timeless Talk!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pistachio Pudding folded in half to make the base card.
I adhered the Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffled Ribbon to the bottom of a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 piece of Soft Suede cardstock. I also adhered a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Pistachio Pudding In Colors Designer Paper Stack towards the bottom.
I stamped the bicycle from Timeless Talk with Soft Suede on Whisper White, then cut with the Decor Label Framelit. I added an Itty Bitty flower Punch from Crisp Cantaloupe pattern in the In Colors DSP Stack to the spoke hub and a Neutrals Candy Dot in the Center. I also added two more flowers with candy dots in the upper right corner to match.
I cut a 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 Crisp Cantaloupe Polka Dot pattern and a 1 x 2 piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock, cut the flag ends and adhered under the Decor Label.
Finally, I stamped the Happy Birthday from Banner Greetings Hostess Set in Crisp Cantaloupe on Whisper White and cut it out, then adhered along the right side of the Bicycle image.

When I was playing around, I did several versions of this card…one of the other versions was for my June Stamp Club. I'll share those a little later!

Happy 4th of July! Hope you enjoy the holiday and BE SAFE! We have another Thursday Challenge for you to play along with over on Create with Connie and Mary. It's a fun sketch challenge! Grab your stamps and join the fun!

I used one of the stamp sets we are featuring in the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection this week, Timeless Talk. I purchased this stamp set just for the telephone. I worked for the phone company for 20 years and love the look of this phone!

Here are the details:

The base of the card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Pool Party cardstock, folded in half.
The 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Very Vanilla is embossed with the Delicate Designs folder.
A 1/2 x 5 1/4 strip of Epic Day Designer Paper hides the top of the embossed area.
I used the smallest Decor Label Framelit cut from Crumb Cake.
The phone was stamped with Black Stazon on Very Vanilla and cut out. I added an Itty Bitty punched flower from Calypso Coral and a Brights Candy Dot in the center. The phone was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front.
Finally, I stamped Hello there with Black Stazon on a 1/2 strip of Pool Party cardstock and tucked it under the phone.

Melissa loves vintage, so I decided to make my card in a vintage style with black and vanilla! The Timeless Talk just went with this perfectly!

Here are the details. If the layout looks familiar, I used a similar layout earlier this week on my Flower Shop card!

I started with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock, folded in half to make a base card.
Next I embossed the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic Black with the Honeycomb folder, it is hard to see in this photo, though!
I used the new Decor Label framelit and stamped the victrola from Timeless Talk in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla, then cut off the bottom.
I stamped Happy Birthday and the speech bubble in Black Stazon and cut it out and placed on the front.
Across the top, I added a 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 strip of Modern Medley Designer Paper. I like how the music print compliments this image!
