IM71 – Little Elephant

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo! When I saw this, I thought immediately of the Little Elephant Stamp Set…so another baby card from me!

I couldn’t quite match the pale lemony color of the elephant cookie…one of the colors I think is missing in our Stampin’ Up! color families! So, I substituted Pineapple Punch which is brighter! It still turned out cute.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of Granny Apple Green was placed at the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 piece of How Sweet It Is Designer Paper.
- A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Sparkle Glimmer Paper was added across the front.
- A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock was layered under the Rectangle Stitched Framelit cut from Pool Party cardstock.
- The small Elephant from Little Elephant was stamped with Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch and Coastal Cabana Inks on Whisper White, then punched with the Elephant Builder Punch. The eyes were colored with a Basic Black Marker. They were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Baby from Well Written Framelits was cut from Pineapple Punch cardstock and added with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
- Congratulations from Little Elephant stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom.
- Two arrows from Best Route Enamel Shapes were added next to the greeting for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Subtles Color

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is our “Favorite Subtles Color”. I knew right away what color I would use…Soft Seafoam! And that color makes me think of baby cards!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 (yes! Shorter size!), scored at 4-1/4 and folded with the short side on the front.
A1-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Twinkle Twinkle DSP was added to the inside flap on the right side so it shows on the front.
The shorter flap on front was embossed with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder.
The elephants and congratulations in Little Elephants stamp set were stamped with Night of Navy on Whisper White, the hearts with Real Red.
They were cut with the Scallop Layering Oval Framelits. It was layered on the large Layering Oval cut from Night of Navy and adhered to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Another Best Bunny!

Yep! Another Best Bunny card! AND…I did another Freshly Made Sketches (FMS378) challenge!

Since Best Bunny is STILL on my desk from working on the tutorials for the Create with Connie and Mary Best Bunny Treat Box Collection, I just had to use it. I especially LOVE this tiny bunny stamp!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (I have GOT to remember to buy more of this before it retires!)
On top the Whisper White cardstock is cut with the next to largest Stitched Rectangle Framelit measuring 3-3/8 x 4-3/4.
A 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Gingham Designer Paper (Lemon Lime Twist) is added to the front.
Welcome Little One greeting from Best Bunny is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
The three bunnies were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch. They were colored with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
Each bunny circle was added to the corresponding 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle punches and then popped up on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some iridescent Twinkle stars were added in the background for a little bling.

Ahhh, such sweet little bunnies in the “peeps” colors! LOVE them!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Sweet Dreams are Made of This

This month Create with Connie and Mary is bringing back the music of the 80s!!! Here’s another song that will get stuck in your head! This week it is the 80’s song “Sweet Dreams are made of this”…we are doing baby cards! I couldn’t wait to use my new Little Elephant stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade Designer Paper (Brights) was added across the center.
On the 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White, the greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink at the bottom. It was layered on a 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock, then adhere to the front.
On scrap Whisper White, the gingham “quilt” was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink and cut out, then adhered across the front above the greeting.
The two sizes of elephants were stamped with Gray Granite Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Elephant Builder Punch. The ears were stamped again with Poppy Parade Ink and punched. They were popped up on the front of the Whisper White panel.
The hearts were stamped above the small elephant.
Finally, two black Faceted Dots were added on the “quilt”.

I love bright red and gray together…perfect for a baby card! CCMC445 Moon Baby

This week on Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday Challenge, we have a fun sketch! Grab your stamps and play along, then upload to our Create Facebook page. The link to our Facebook page is on the Create website!

Here’s what I did using a new set for me, Moon Baby!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
A 2 x 4-3/4 strip of Fruit Stand Designer Paper was placed along the right side.
A 1/4 x 4 strip of Basic Black cardstock was placed across the front, then a 1 x 3 piece of Pear Pizzazz was cut with a flag end and stamped with Hello Baby from the Moon Baby stamp set in Memento Black Ink.
A Stitched Shapes Oval was cut from Whisper White and stamped with the star in Daffodil Delight Ink a few times, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The baby an umbrella were stamped with Memento Black Ink, colored with Watercolor Pencils and the Blender Pen, then cut out by hand and added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
