Pick of the Patch Halloween Goodie Bags

I put some little goodies bags together for the grandchildren. Not much…just something different than all the candy they would get!

I used the scenic print from Them Bones Designer Paper and added a Pick of the Patch pumpkin, some punched bats (with Rhinestone Jewel eyes) and the Cutest Halloween Punch Bundle from last year on the clothespin clip! Inside were some Halloween Scratch Off ornaments, a fidget pop toy, fidget water bead stretchy toy, a flute, eyeball glasses, Halloween pencils, plus a Bag of Bones decorated notepad and mini pens! I personalized it with their initial on the notepad and a banner with their name and decorated clothespin to help close the bag!

Here are the decorated notepads…I didn’t get a photo of all of them, but they were basically the same.

Saturday Blog Hop – Glitzy Halloween

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Glitzy Halloween”…lots of shimmer and shine for this haunting Halloween season!

PICK OF THE PATCH with BAG OF BONES

I combined two sets for today’s glitzy card! The Silver Metallic Paper and More Dazzled Glitter Paper, plus Sparkle Gems really make it pop!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was embossed with the Basics Crosshatch Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive) and added to the front.
The fence from Bag of Bones Dies was cut twice from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front along the bottom.
The tombstone was cut from Silver Metallic Paper and from Basic White cardstock. The inside of the Basic White tomb was hand-cut and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black. It was sponged with Pebbled Path Ink around the edges, then adhered to the Silver Metallic Paper tomb. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The moon was punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch (Online Exclusive) from More Dazzled Gold Paper and adhered to the front.
The bats were cut with the Bag of Bones dies from Basic Black cardstock and added to the moon and background.
The pumpkins from Pick of the Patch stamp set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White and punched/cut then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stem and vine were stamped with Copper Clay Ink and punched/cut and added to the pumpkins.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Spooky Forest

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary blog hop theme is “Spooky Forest”! I love the tree die in Aspen Trees and combined it with the new Bag of Bones Dies! I also added a spooky night sky by blending inks on Basic White cardstock!

BAG OF BONES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was colored with Lot Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss Inks using the Blending Brushes and added to the front.
The moon was punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch from Basic White cardstock and lightly brushed with Misty Moonlight Ink, then stamped with the single bat in Memento Black Ink. It was adhered towards the top of the night sky background.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was cut with the Aspen Tree Die and adhered on front of the night sky layer.
The tombstone from the Bag of Bones Dies was cut from Basic Gray cardstock and stamped with the Bag of Bones greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The pile of bones was cut from Basic White cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the tombstone. The tombstone was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skeleton was cut from the Them Bones Designer Paper and added behind the tombstone with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Glow in the Dark Bats were added to the background.

IM302 – Bag of Bones

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Here is a fun Halloween wreath to inspire you!

BAG OF BONES

Of course…what else could I use besides the Bag of Bones skeleton for my card today…and I used the new Wishes All Around wreath with it, too!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Let’s Go Fishing Designer Paper was added on top.
- The wreath was cut with the Wishes All Around Dies from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front.
- Some of the greenery and the hat were cut with the Dies from Real Red cardstock and layered over the wreath.
- The skeleton was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the Bag of Bones Die. The legs were slightly bent and adhered as if he is sitting on the wreath. The hat was added to the skeleton.
- The rose from Bag of Bones was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then cut and added to the hat.
- Boo to You was stamped with Real Red Ink on 3/4 x 1-1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock, trimmed like a tag, and added to the hand.
- Some white Sparkle Gems were added to the wreath.
- The Black & Very Vanilla checked ribbon wastied in a bow and added with Mini Glue Dots.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Melissa Davies 2023

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using stamps/bundles from the September-December Mini Catalog!

This week we are “Casing Melissa Davies”! Here’s her Halloween card that I chose to case.

BAG OF BONES

And here’s how I updated her card using the new Bag of Bones Bundle! And I was actually inspired to do the split background from another Christmas card she made, too! Since my skeleton was white embossed on black and wouldn’t show up on black DSP, I used the three colors of candy corn for my background instead. I also reversed the focal image placement so it made sense for my skeleton.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of polka dot Brights 6×6 DSP was added to the background.
1-3/4 x 4 piece of Basic White, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight were laid together, then cut with the Scallop Contour Die, then assembled on the DSP.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the Pumpkin Pie layer.
The skeleton from Bag of Bones was stamped with Whie Craft Ink on Basic Black cardstock, then embossed with White Embossing Powder and cut with the Bag of Bones Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The hat and boots were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the skeleton.
The bats were stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right corner.
A trio of black Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

This card just makes me SMILE! I’m going to mail it off to my oldest grandkid for Halloween…he’s a big fan of country music!
