Saturday Blog Hop – Glitzy Halloween

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Glitzy Halloween”…lots of shimmer and shine for this haunting Halloween season!

PICK OF THE PATCH with BAG OF BONES

I combined two sets for today’s glitzy card! The Silver Metallic Paper and More Dazzled Glitter Paper, plus Sparkle Gems really make it pop!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was embossed with the Basics Crosshatch Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive) and added to the front.
The fence from Bag of Bones Dies was cut twice from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front along the bottom.
The tombstone was cut from Silver Metallic Paper and from Basic White cardstock. The inside of the Basic White tomb was hand-cut and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black. It was sponged with Pebbled Path Ink around the edges, then adhered to the Silver Metallic Paper tomb. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The moon was punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch (Online Exclusive) from More Dazzled Gold Paper and adhered to the front.
The bats were cut with the Bag of Bones dies from Basic Black cardstock and added to the moon and background.
The pumpkins from Pick of the Patch stamp set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White and punched/cut then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stem and vine were stamped with Copper Clay Ink and punched/cut and added to the pumpkins.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have some autumn felt ornaments to inspire you!

RUSTIC CRATE

I wanted to focus on the sunflowers and pumpkins, so pulled out my Rustic Crate bundle!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Glorious Gingham was added to the left side of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then added to the base card.
- The pumpkin/sunflower image was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Cajun Craze Combo, Old Olive Combo, SU200, Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Rustic Crate Die.
- The crate was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Pecan Pie cardstock and cut with the die. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving a little bit of space between them.
- The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla and ends cut at an angle, it was added between the two images.
- A trio of green Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the background.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the edge of the greeting.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to try.

RUSTIC CRATE

I love that this set has a little bit of coloring to it! Doesn’t take TOO long, even if you are doing a stack of them!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was added on top.
Three 1 x 4-1/2 pieces of All About Autumn DSP were added to the background, with two 1/2 x 3-3/4 pieces of coordinating medallion DSP added on top.
A 2″ circle was punched from More Dazzled Glitter Paper and added to the background.
The pumpkin image from Rustic Crate was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then colored with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, SU 100 and SU 500 Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Rustic Crate Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For You from Rustic Crate was stamped with Memento Black Ink and cut with the tiny label die in Rustic Crate Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM200 – Season’s Blessings

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a bowl of pumpkins for our inspiration piece!

My mind went to how could I create the bowl. I looked at my dies, and figured that the large label from Seasonal Labels Dies would work and the small pumpkins in the Seasonal Swirls Dies would be a perfect fit!

SEASON’S BLESSINGS

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper was added on top.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock with a 1/4 x 4 strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstocks were added across the front.
- The large Seasonal Label was cut from Basic White cardstock, then sponged with Smoky Slate Ink to give it a farmhouse feel. The edges were curled up to resemble the sides of the bowl.
- Two sets of leaves from Season’s Blessings were stamped off with Soft Succulent Ink onto Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Seasonal Basket Dies. They were cut apart and added into the “bowl” with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Four Misty Moonlight, three Pumpkin Pie and three Basic White pumpkins were cut with the Seasonal Swirls Die, then added to the bowl randomly.
- The greeting from Season’s Blessings stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 Soft Succulent cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was tucked into the pumpkins.
- Some Brushed Metallic Dots were added in the background.

IM137 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some yummy looking fall cookies!

I’ve used Banner Year again for my card! I thought the little pumpkins would work perfectly.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Plaid Tidings was added to the front.
- A 1 x 4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added across the front.
- The two labels were cut from Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock with the Tasteful Label Dies and adhered together, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two pumpkins, stem/leaves from Banner Year Stamp Set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Inks on Whisper White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Banner Year was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Whisper White, cut the end at an angle, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two Gold Glimmer Dots were added above the greeting for a little bling!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Cuties

Our theme this week on the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop is “Halloween Cuties”! Halloween doesn’t have to be scary…there are lots of cute little monsters and costumes out there! This is super quick and easy card idea!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, folded in half.
A 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Halloween Night Designer Paper was added to the bottom of a 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Some Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the Whisper White cardstock several times to hide the seam.
The pumpkins from Spooky Fun were stamped with Tangerine Tango Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the faces with Memento Blak Ink, then cut with the Halloween Scenes Framelits.
Happy Halloween greeting was curved on the clear block and stamped with Memento Black over the pumpkins.
A trio of Halloween Night Enamel Dots are scattered on the front.

That’s it!!! SUPER easy, huh?

Day 2 Preview – Fall Fest

Wow…2 posts in one day! The first one is a cute Halloween card for the SUO Challenge, so make sure you check it out, too! I just got out my new Fall Fest stamp set to celebrate Day 2 of Create with Connie and Mary PREVIEW WEEK for the Holiday Card “Create”tions. We are introducing two members of our Design Team today! Go check them out!

I always am drawn to white pumpkins when I see them for sale or on display. I don’t see them in the pumpkin fields (wonder why not?). I had to play around a little to get the color “white” that looked real to me. I ended up with White Craft Ink on Sahara Sand…the slight greenish cast to Sahara Sand seemed to look the most realistic. So…here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Very Vanilla, folded in half.
The 4 x 5 1/4 layer is embossed with Delicate Dots folder.
I mimicked the dots with the green pattern in Color Me Autumn DSP and cut a 1 x 4 piece to go across the front.
I used the Circle Framelits to cut my Very Vanilla circle and tucked it under the DSP.
The white pumpkin is White Craft stamped on Sahara Sand and then Pumpkin Pie on Very Vanilla for the other one. I colored the stems with my Mossy Meadow Marker and cut them out with the Fall Fun Framelits, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped two small leaves with Mossy Meadow Ink and also cut them with the Fall Fun Framelits.
The greeting from Holiday Cheer (Project Life) I stamped with Pumpkin Pie and cut with the Circle Framelit. It was tucked under the pumpkins.
I thought it needed just a little more, so I colored two Rhinestone with the Old Olive Blendabilities Markers and added them to the leaves. Then I wrapped some Linen Thread in a circle and added it to the front with a Mini Glue Dot! It really finished off the card!
