It’s Thursday again and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s a FUN sketch challenge this week. I ended up making several cards with the basic layout while at my stamping retreat a few weeks ago!

And here’s my card…I’m LOVING these new In-Colors!!!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sugarplum, folded in half.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White.
Strips of Affectionately Yours Designer Paper cut 1 x 3-3/4, 3/4 x 3-3/4 and 1/2 x 3-3/4 were cut and added to the front.
Happiest of Birthdays to You was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black in the lower left corner.
The Birthday Blooms flower was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on scrap Whisper White and watercolored with the AquaPainter and Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive and Crushed Cucumber Markers. It was cut out by hand and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tucked behind are Gold Thread wrapped in circles and secured with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Color Me Happy

It’s Saturday and you know what that means!!! It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Design Team Blog Hop! This week’s theme is Color Me Happy…there are many, many selections of stamps to color in the catalogs!

I REALLY, REALLY love to color…when I was small, the best gift you could give me was a new coloring book and crayons! They had to be SHARP, NEW crayons, too! I miss Stampin’ Up!’s Blendabilities…hoping they come out with something like them SOON!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper.
Across the front is a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Peekaboo Peach cardstock, stamped with the For You greeting in Birthday Blooms with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The large blossom from Birthday Blooms was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White, then colored with the AquaPainter and Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz Markers.
The blossom was cut out and adhered to a 4th from Largest Circle Framelit cut from Whisper White. The circle is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The blossom was highlighted with some Clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.
Several Neutral Silver sequins were sprinkled around on the front.

Happy Groundhog’s Day! The theme this time over on SUO Challenges is Happy Birthday! I need lots of birthday cards over the next few weeks, so I’m excited to see the ideas! I pulled out Birthday Blooms (actually, it was already on my desk), and made this up for a sweet friend. I actually MISSED her birthday last month, so it did go out late…but I hope she doesn’t mind. She is actually getting to celebrate a little longer! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pink Pirouette is embossed with the Delicate Dots folder.
A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper was placed across the center.
The Birthday Blooms flower image was stamped with Black Archival Ink on Shimmer White Paper and watercolored with Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers and an AquaPainter.
Happiest of Birthdays to You was stamped on Whisper White with Black Archival Ink and punched with the 2-1/2 Circle Punch, then added to the front.
Melon Mambo cardstock was punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, then adhered under the DSP and white circle.
The flower was made with the Petite Petals punch from Pink Pirouette cardstock, the center with the Blossom Punch from Melon Mambo cardstock and a Perfect White Accent added to the center.
The stamped flower was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This time a fun sketch challenge. I know you’ll be amazed at all the different looks this sketch inspired! And I hope YOU are inspired enough to play along! It really is a CAS design, but I love the elements across the bottom.

Here’s my interpretation. I love the soft colors!

Now for the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron and I rounded the corners on the right side with the Project Life Corner Rounder.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper in the polka dot pattern.
The Birthday Blooms flower is stamped with Black Archival Ink on Shimmer White and watercolored with Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers. It was handcut.
A 1/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Mossy Meadow Cardstock was adhered across the front.
A 3/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Mint Macaron cardstock cut into a point shape was placed on front, then the greeting from Birthday Blooms was stamped on a 1″x 3-3/4 strip of Whisper White cardstock with Black Archival Ink and cut into a point end, layering with the Mint Macaron.
Finally, the Birthday Blooms flower was placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
