CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Hippity Hoppity Easter Favor

Most of you know that the reason I started selling Stampin’ Up! was because of the cool 3D items that I could make using stamps and products. AND…because the color coordination of Stampin’ Up! products appeals to my “control” tendencies. They make it SO easy! Well…Easter is one of those times that I LOVE to make little 3D favors for my Easter table. So, this week on the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop we are featuring Easter favors! Hope you get some FUN ideas! And, since I love the little bunny in Garden Girl, I had to feature her again on my Silver Mini Gable Box!

Stampin’ Details:

The base one of the Silver Mini Gable Boxes. They are just the perfect size for putting in some Easter grass and candy!
The sides are decorated with a 1-3/4 x 12 piece of the polka dot pattern in Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper (one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration Level 1 selections!).
The flower row image in Garden Girl was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. It was adhered to a 2 x 3-3/4 piece of Old Olive cardstock.
The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blends. The puffy tail is colored with the Clear Wink of Stella.

The tag was made by punching the Tailored Tag from Calypso Coral cardstock and adding a Daffodil Delight 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle punch. Over that is a Classic Label stamped with Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched from Whisper White cardstock.
The butterfly from Garden Girl is stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends, then handcut and adhered to the tag with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
A 1/4″ circle was punched in the tag and a Rhinestone added for some bling.
The top is tied closed with some Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon (another free Sale-a-bration selections) and the tag tied on.

LOVE it! I think my grand-daughter will get this one in her Easter basket this year! Now to figure out what to do with the boys! lol!

SUOC143 Friends & Flowers

Welcome back to the next SUO Challenge featuring Easter projects! I couldn’t wait to break out my Friends & Flowers stamp set again and use the cute little bunny head and ears for my card. I also wished I had a current stamp that said something about “peeps”…but then made up my own with the Layered Letters Alphabet Set!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pink Pirouette cardstock folded in half.
On top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, Peeps was stamped with the Layered Letters Alphabet set and Rose Red Ink.
Happy Easter was added above it from the Easter Lamb stamp with Tuxedo Black Ink.
Along the bottom is a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of English Garden Designer Paper
A piece of 1/8″ Silver Ribbon was placed across the scene.
The bunny head and ears were stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Pink Pirouette cardstock and punched with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and Festive Flower Builder Punch. The body of the Peeps is a 1-3/4 Circle punched from Pink Pirouette cardstock.
Some clear Wink of Stella highlights the inside of the ears and the cheeks!

Here is the Sketch Challenge for today!

Yes, I once again used Ears to You this week! I'm trying to use it as much as possible before Easter! lol! Actually, as I mentioned earlier, this is my Easter card for this year. I need to get them mailed out…last year my Easter cards sat on my desk and never got mailed! lol! The Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper is just so bright and colorful, too! Perfect for Easter cards!

Here are the details:

The base is a square card, 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 Pink Pirouette, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 4 piece of the polka dot pattern in Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP on top.
I cut a Scallops #2 Square of Daffodil Delight and placed on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Inside I have a Whisper White square embossed with the Cloudy Day folder, then sponged with a little Bashful Blue ink.
I cut a scrap piece of Lucky Limeade for the grass and cut blades with my Paper Snips. I stamped Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Black Stazon on top.
I inked up the bunnies from Ears to You with Daffodil Delight, and Pink Pirouette, then cut them out and placed in the grass with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added Pearls to their tails.
Finally I tied a bow from Old Olive Striped Ribbon and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

SUOC66 – Ears to You

OK..I must admit, this single stamp, Ears to You, is just the cutest Easter stamp! I love playing with it. My Easter cards (showing up later this week as a Create Challenge!) used TWO of the little bunnies. I used one of the left over third bunnies for this card for the SUO Challenge this week! I didn't want him to be lonely just sitting on my desk! lol!

I also pulled out a folder I haven't used for a while…the Framed Tulip Border one. I thought it fit perfectly with the spring theme of Easter Parade! Here are the details on my card:

4 1/4 x 11 Melon Mambo, folded in half to form base card.
4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White, embossed with the Framed Tulip Border folder.
3 1/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper (I'm already on my second pack of this paper!), layered on a 3 1/2 x 4 piece of Melon Mambo, punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch, then trimmed.
Wrap around some Old Olive Striped Ribbon and tie a knot along the left side.
I embossed the Oval Designer Frame on Whisper White, then cut it out and placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The single bunny was stamped with Daffodil Delight and cut out. He is also placed on the front with a Stampin' Dimensional and added a small Pearl for his eye.
Finally, I stamped Happy Easter Everybunny! from the stamp set, Everybunny, in Basic Gray along the bottom. I love that greeting (and another great Easter set!)

CAS211 Ears to You

Splitcoaststampers has a fun CAS (Clean & Simple) CAS211 sketch challenge today so I thought I'd play along. I was able to use up some of the "starts" on my desk…you know…those little pieces of projects that you started, but didn't end up making the cut on the card you were making earlier! The little bunny is one of them. My Easter cards (you'll see later this week), used only 2 of the bunnies, so I had a few of these left over. You will see another card using one tomorrow! lol! I also had the two scraps of Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP and the Pink Pirouette already cut to size! Made this card come together REALLY quickly! So…here is the sketch.

And here is my take on it:

And here are the details:

4 1/4 x 11 of Pink Pirouette folded in half to make base card.
4 x 5 1/4 Very Vanilla layered on top.
Two pieces of 1 1/8 x 3 1/2 Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper, cut with flag ends and adhered on top.
1 1/8 x 4 piece of Pink Pirouette c/s, cut with a flag end, stamped with Everybunny greeting in Basic Gray and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Punched Decorative Label from S&S DSP and placed on top of Pink Pirouette c/s.
Cut out Pink Pirouette bunny from Ears to You placed with Stampin' Dimensional on top.
I added two Itty Bitty flowers punched from Daffodil Delight cardstock.
I placed Pearls in the centers of the flowers and on the bunny's eye!

So…what do you think? CAS? Fits the sketch? I was pretty happy with it and used up some of my "starts", too! Thanks for stopping by!

March 2012 Tour de Freaks – SPRING!

It's time for the monthly Tour de Freaks! Our theme this month is SPRING into SPRING! With the temperatures around here in the mid 70s, our trees and flowers are BLOOMING their heads off! I love this time of year! You've probably arrived from the awesome Wendy Weixler's blog…didn't you LOVE her projects?

My first project an Easter Bunny Punch Art card. I think she's a little different than what you've seen before! I loved how she turned out paired with the Nursery Nest Designer Paper in soft colors!

The base of the card is Pale Plum. I layered on Whisper White cardstock, and a piece of Nursery Nest stripes along the bottom. I cut a 1/2" strip of Blushing Bride cardstock to hide the seam area. Then I cut some Pear Pizzazz cardstock and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots folder for the background of my bunny. The bunny's body is the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, her head the Extra Large Oval, the ears the Large Oval and her tail is the cupcake punch! I used 1/4" circles in the Owl Punch for the eyes and mouth area. The small heart for the nose is the smallest heart in the Heart to Heart punch. I added White Gel pen to the eyes and nose for highlights and drew the whiskers with the Stampin' Write marker. I tied a bow from 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon for her head. Finally, I made a pennant with Happy Easter from Delightful Dozen stamp set and added two PINK Rhinestone jewels from the Blossoms Builder Kit that I had left over!

Don't recognize the Designer Paper? That's because it is in the NEW Summer Smooches Designer Paper that will be available to customers as the April special! Don't you LOVE the bright colors? I cut a strip to cover around the Kraft Box and added a trim of Daffodil Delight Pinking Hearts Border around the bottom. I also covered the top of the Kraft Box with the same DSP. I cut the label from the Label Framelits and stamped Happy Birthday using my Stampin' Write markers…it's from the hostess only set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.

I made up a bow with the NEW Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon and added an In Color Lucky Limeade brad in the center. Then I made two daffodils with the Blossom Punch and the 5 Petal Punch to decorate the top. Here's a closeup look:

The main part of the daffodil is Daffodil Delight cardstock and the centers are Tangerine Tango cardstock. I used the 5 petal punch and Lucky Limeade for the leaves. I think this will be a very pretty box to hold a birthday surprise! Not sure who I'll give it to yet…lol!

Punch Art Bunny

Sorry I've been missing a few days! I'm in the midst of preparing for the next session of Create with Connie and Mary! So, I have been creating…just not anything I can show on my blog! We do have some FUN projects for you, so be watching for our Early Bird Special…starts soon!

I remember when I first started doing Punch Art…hardly anyone was doing it! Now it has exploded and everyone seems to be creating lots of characters with punches! Makes me happy to use my Stampin' Up! punches in a way that wasn't originally intended! I know I've seen a BUNCH of different ways to do bunnies…this one I thought was cute, especially paired with one of my FAVORITE Stampin' Up! designer papers…Nursery Suite! This pattern is one of my favorites IN that designer paper package, too!

The card base is Baja Breeze and I layered on a strip of the Nursery Suite Designer Paper along the left. I cut a Top Note from Pink Pirouette and put it back in the Big Shot to emboss it with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I used the 2 1/2 Circle Punch with Early Espresso cardstock in the background, then a 1 1/4" Circle of Pear Pizzazz. I placed the Pear PIzzazz under the 2 1/2 circle slightly, and added a Pink Flower Brad with a Rhinestone Jewel in the center. I stamped Happy Easter from Stampin' Up!'s Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set with Early Espresso Classic Ink on Whisper White then punched with the Small Oval Punch and layered on a Baja Breeze Large Oval Punch.

To make the bunny, I punched the Wide Oval from Whisper White for the Body. The feet and inside ears are two Small Ovals punched from the Designer Paper. The outside ears are the Large Oval punched from Whisper White. The eyes are 1/8" Circles from Basic Black and I used the White Gel Pen to add a highlight. The nose is the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch in Pink Pirouette with a White Gel Pen highlight and popped up with a partial dimensional on the Wide Oval. The whiskers are strips of Whisper White. Since my bunny is a girl, I added a 1/8" Taffeta Pretty in Pink Bow between her ears!

I think my bunny is FUN and CUTE! What do yo think?
