Special Order Gifts

The past couple years, my nail tech who owns the nail salon I go to has requested I make up something for the staff that work for her. Last year it was Bailey’s and Lindt Chocolates in the Cup Carriers. This year, I found these small metallic trays on Amazon that would be perfect to hold their small metal tips in their desk. Here is how I decorated them. I did the poinsettias for the women and penguins for the men working for her.

I added a Ghirardelli Caramel Chocolate square inside.

I cut an Acetate Card Box in half and added the metallic tray and chocolate, then added some shred along the sides so it stayed in place.

POINSETTIA

I wrapped a 3 x 9 piece of retired gold buffalo check DSP around the outside of the cut in half Acetate Card Box for a sleeve.
I used the Poinsettia Dies to cut the three sizes of petals from Basic White cardstock and the leaves from Gold Metallic Paper and added to the front of the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Poinsettia Petals stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and punched with the Double Oval Punch. It was layered on the retired SAB Be Dazzling Paper, then added to the front tucked under the poinsettia, with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The center is one of the retired Beaded Pearls.

PENGUIN

I wrapped a 3 x 9 piece of retired Penguin Playmates DSP around the outside of the cut in half Acetate Card Box for a sleeve.
I added a Wonderful Snowflake in the background with a Mini Glue Dot.
I stamped the snowbank from Penguin Place with Pool Party Ink, then cut along the edge. I stamped the greeting with Real Red and added the snowbank to the bottom of the DSP on front.
The penguin was punched with the Penguin Builder Punch from Basic Black and Basic White and adhered together. The eyes were stamped with Memento Black and the beak with Pumpkin Pie. The hat and scarf were stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the penguin. The feet were punched from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
I stamped a portion of the Candy Cane background image in Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut the candy canes and placed in his hand.
A Rhinestone jewel was added to the center of the Snowflake.

I think they turned out SO cute and she loved them. I can’t wait to her what her staff thought of them! I love personalizing gifts using our Stampin’ Up! products!

Week 2 Letterpress Winter Tiny Box

This week for our Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions Blog Hop, our Design Team will be featuring the Tiny Treat Boxes in the Holiday Catalog! You’ve probably just come from Deb Currier’s blog…don’t you love her inspiration?

Here’s what I came up with for my Tiny Treat Box project this week! I combined TWO of the boxes (they come 25 to a package for $6.95 US), adhering them back to back, then wrapping the All Is Calm Designer Paper around it.

Didn’t it turn out cool? And, the recipient can get TWO treats in one special package! I used the Silver Glimmer for some extra special bling!

Here are the details:

The base are two Tiny Treat Boxes. I cut off the side flaps of each box, then adhered them together with strips of Sticky Strip.
I cut a 2 x 12 strip of All Is Calm Designer Paper. It ALMOST fit all the way around, but left about a 1/4″ gap. I cut another 1 x 2 piece and placed it over the gap to hide it. I buried it on the back side, so it is barely noticeable. I also cut two 2×2 squares for the top of the boxes.
I wrapped the Lost Lagoon Satin Ribbon around the middle and adhered the ends in the front.
For the decorations, I stamped the medium sized snowflake with Lost Lagoon Ink on Soft Sky cardstock and punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. I punched the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch three times from Silver Glimmer Paper.
I embossed the smallest snowflake with White Embossing Powder twice on Lost Lagoon cardstock and punched with the 1″ Circle Punch. I also stamped For You with Lost Lagoon ink on Whisper White and punched with the 1″ Circle Punch. I placed all the snowflakes and circles together with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to the boxes.
I added Rhinestone Jewels to the center of the snowflakes and on the sides of the For You greeting.

Inside I’d fill with a couple treat-filled cello bags before giving it as a gift! Lots of fun surprises could fit in these 2×2 Tiny Treat Boxes! Now continue on around the Holiday Card “Create”tions blog tour by stopping by Natasha Zandbergen’s blog for her wonderful idea!

Festive Flurry Nugget Tin

While I was making Nugget tins, I did one up using Festive Flurry stamp set and framelits. Love all the sparkle on this from the metallic stripe in the Winter Frost DSP to the Silver Glimmer Paper to the metal tin!

And, of course, the lovely blues in Coastal Cabana and Island Indigo are striking for the snowflakes! Here are the details!

I cut a 2" strip of Island Indigo cardstock and layered on a 1" strip of the stripe in Winter Frost across the top for the belly band.
I stamped the largest snowflake in Coastal Cabana and cut it with the framelit.
I cut a smaller snowflake from Silver Glimmer Paper.
I stamped the smallest snowflake in Island Indigo and cut.
I layered them together with Stampin' Dimensionals (SEE MY ADHESIVE SALE GOING ON NOW!) I go thru SO many of those little things!
Finally I added a large Rhinestone Jewel.
Inside the Hershey Nuggets were wrapped with the stripe pattern in Winter Frost.
I also made a divided from Island Indigo cardstock for the inside to hold the nuggets in place.

Since these were for a craft sale, I wanted to keep the cost down. You could easily use a Frosted Finishes Embellishment in the center, too! These sold quite well considering it was early in the season for thinking about Christmas!

Petite Pocket Christmas Gift

I wanted to do something special for my Stamp Club members! I ordered some Silver and Gold Metallic Pens and then made up this holder for them. I tucked the gift in with their November order picked up in early December.

I used the CUTE, CUTE, CUTE Christmas image from For the Birds to decorate them. Here is a closeup.

Here are the details.

Cut the Petite Pocket from Pool Party cardstock and embossed the front with the Petals A Plenty Folder. I adhered it together, but left the back straight.
I cut the second from smallest framelit from Whisper White, then stamped the For the Birds Christmas image in Black Stazon on it.
I watercolored with my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write markers, then added the framelit to the front of my pocket with Stampin' Dimensionals
I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle around and tied a knot.
The smallest snowflake from Snow Flurry Die is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper and placed on the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
I tucked one of the Metallic Pens inside.

I think it made a nice and useful gift for the holidays and I hope they enjoyed their gift!

Hope you are getting close to ready for the upcoming holidays. My son and DIL made it in late last night, thru horrible slick roads. We're glad they are here safely.
