Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Favors

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Easter favors (to coordinate with the Easter cards we did last week)!  Not getting together for Easter dinner this year, but still plan on having the grandkid families over (separately!) to hunt Easter eggs outside…keeping a distance of 6 feet, of course!

WELCOME EASTER

I made a cello bag holder for some Palmer Chocolate Easter Eggs.  Love that little bunny in the Welcome Easter stamp set!  And, like last week, I used the Best Dressed Designer Paper…such nice colors for Easter!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is actually two parts.
  • On the left the 2-1/2 x 6 piece of Best Dressed floral DSP was adhered to a 2-3/4 x 6 piece of Mint Macaron cardstock.
  • On the right, a tray was made from 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Mint Macaron, scored with the short side on top at 1/4 and 1-1/2.
  • The eggs were adhered to the center of the tray with Mini Glue Dots, then the tray added to the larger base to form one piece.

  • The tag was cut with the Bonanza Die from Mint Macaron cardstock.
  • A 3/4 x 2-1/4 piece of striped Best Dressed DSP was added to the bottom.
  • The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Crumb Cake Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Happy Easter was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut closely around the words, then adhere to the top of the tag.
  • A trio of Nobel Peacock pink Rhinestones were added in the background.

 

  • The base piece slides into the 3 x 9 Printed Gusset Cellophane Bag and is tied with Petal Pink 1/4 Metallic Edge Ribbon with the tag added to the ribbon.

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Favors

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is “Easter Favors”.  I love doing little favors for the place settings at holdays.  This is a pretty quick one!  The Clear Tiny Treats box does most of the work!

Stampin’ Details:

  • Assemble the Clear Tiny Treat Box and fill with treats!  (I bought these gummy carrots at The Dollar Tree)!
  • Cut two pieces of Highland Heather cardstock at 2 x 5-7/8 and score both at 2-1/2 and 4-5/8.
  • Stamp with the confetti image from Best Bunny stamp set with Highland Heather Ink randomly over the entire two pieces.
  • Punch the larger panel end of both pieces with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
  • Place Tear & Tape at the other end of one piece right along the edge and wrap the two pieces around the Clear Tiny Treat Box to fit, then adhere.  The ends overlap about 1/4″ under the box.
  • Add the 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon thru the holes in the tag and tie a bow.
  • Cut a 1/2 x 2 piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut slits with scissors to make the “grass”.  Adhere to bottom of front.
  • Stamp the small bunnies in Best Bunny with Memento Black Ink and color with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  Color ears and cheeks with Flirty Flamingo Blends.  Add to front above grass with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Punch three flowers from Daffodil Delight cardstock and leaves from Lemon Lime Twist using the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack.  Add to front with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Add Rhinestone Jewels to centers of each flower.
  • Stamp Easter Blessings from Itty Bitty Greetings with Memento Black Ink and punch with Classic Label Punch that is shortened.  Tuck end under flower.

Best Bunny Candy Carrot Holder

I had time to do a couple more challenges this week!  I’m feeling quite accomplished!  lol!  This time I used the theme from Global Design Project ” GDP179 Sweeter Than Candy” AND I used The Paper Players theme of “PP431 Spring Fever”!  I thought both of them matched up pretty good for Easter Favors!

I found these plastic carrots filled with powdered candy (like Pixie Sticks) at Dollar Tree and they looked SO fun!  I used them for another favor project in our newest Create with Connie and Mary Best Bunny Treat Box Collection of tutorials, too!  Don’t miss out on getting it!  See details here.



BEST BUNNY

This Best Bunny Easter Favor is a throwback to a holder for the Test Tubes that Stampin’ Up! used to carry. I had to adjust the size of the box to fit the candy filled carrots!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 3 x 9-1/4, with 9-1/4 at top of Simply Scored, score at 1, 2, 3-1/2 and 4-1/2.
  • In the second 1″ panel from the bottom, punch two 3/4″ Circle holes.
  • Place adhesive on the first 1″ panel, then roll up and secure to the back.

  • Add 2-3/4 x 3 piece of How Sweet It Is to the back and then a 1-1/4 x 2-3/4 piece of coordinating How Sweet It Is DSP on the front.
  • Add a 3/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock across the front panel and two coordinating Glitter Dots.
  • Stamp the bunny from Best Bunny stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and color with Pineapple Punch and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  Add some grass stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink.
  • Punch bunny with 1-1/4 Circle Punch and adhere to 1-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch.  Place on front of box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Place candy carrots in the holes and tie the White Organdy Polka Dot Ribbon around in a knot to secure them in the holder.
  • Stamp Easter Greetings from Fable Friends stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Coastal Cabana cardstock and punch with 1-3/8 Scallop Circle Punch.  Punch a 1/8″ circle at the top.
  • Stamp the carrot with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, color with Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, hand-cut and attach to tag with Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Add tag by tying with the ribbon.

SUPER sweet project!  I love how it turned out!  I know my grandkids will adore them in their Easter Baskets this year!
