CCMC599 – Heartfelt

Another Thursday is rolling by and the end of another week!  We are in the middle of February, too!  Spring will soon be here!  This week’s Color Challenge is great for Valentines…I made this one for my husband!

This was the first time I used the Detailed Hearts Die…but I’m sure not the last!  I’m working ahead on projects, but I’m sure I’ll use it for my Stamp Club in January.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The Detailed Hearts Die was cut from Real Red cardstock and another from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I’ll use the Flirty Flamingo Diecut on another card, but saved some of the cut-out hearts to fill in a few hearts randomly on this card.
  • A 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic Gray gingham in the Neutrals Designer Paper Pack was added across the front.
  • The Happy Valentine’s Day heart from Heartfelt Stamp Set was stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White and punched with the solid Heart Duo Punch.  It was layered on the Scallop Heart punched from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
  • Sandwiched in between the two hearts is the arrow, stamped with Basic Gray Ink on Whisper White and hand-cut.  The Hearts are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered to the front.
  • Had to have a little bling, so a Real Red Rhinestone was added over one of the small hearts.

 

This is a pretty easy card, except for adding the little hearts into the framed hearts!  I love how it turned out and I’m sure my hubby will like it, too!  Make sure to check out the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary to see what they did with this color challenge!

Saturday Blog Hop – Valentine Cards

Wow!  First week in February!  WOOHOO!!!  Let the countdown to SPRING begin!  Well, it does seem closer, at least.  This week on Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday blog hop, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day with Valentine cards!  This will be my husband’s card this year.  I’m so lucky to have found him…he is a wonderful husband, father and papa!

HEARTFELT

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder (can you tell I LOVE this folder?)
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Blushing Bride cardstok was added across the front and stamped with the From My Heart greeting in Heartfelt stamp set with Memento Black Ink.
  • The Flirty Flamingo cardstock was cut with the Detailed Hearts Die, then cut apart so only a portion was used (bonus…I have a couple other pieces I can use on other projects!).  It was added to the front with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • Some extra hearts cut with the die were added around the background.
  • The Real Red Metallic scallop heart was punched from the From My Heart Designer Paper with the Scallop Heart Punch.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The lacy heart was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Whisper White cardstock and just the center heart cut out by hand.
  • The arrow was stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut.  They were layered together and added to the scallop heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The small red metallic heart was punched with the Dog Punch (did you know the little heart punches the DSP perfectly?)  It was added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • A From My Heart Faceted Gem was added to the arrow for a little bling.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop – January 2020

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip! January’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

HEARTFELT

Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’ve switched out my Christmas displays for Valentine displays in my home!  Here’s a little banner that I put together to go on a basket that sits up on my kitchen cabinets!  I make different banners for different holidays.

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The banner pieces are the second from largest Stitched Nested Label Dies cut from DSP backing board, then covered with the From My Heart Designer Paper on top using Monoadhesive Glue.
  • A 1/8″ hole is punched in the top of the labels.
  • The Large Letters of I and U were cut with the Large Letter Dies (on the Clearance Rack in the US!!!  Grab them before they are gone, they are one of the BEST investments!) from Basic Black cardstock and added to the labels with Foam Strips.
  • Three Red Rhinestone were added to each of the letters.
  • For the center label, the Flirty Flamingo Heart Doily is added first.
  • The Scallop Heart was punched from Basic Black and added to the doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The arrow from Heartfelt Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, hand-cut and added to the Scallop Heart.
  • The red dotted heart and From My Heart greeting in the Heartfelt stamp set are stamped with Real Red Ink on Whisper White cardstock.  It was punched with the Solid Heart Punch, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A From My Heart Feceted Gem is added next to the greeting for a little more bling.
  • The Grapefruit Grove Twine from Nature’s Twine was knotted thru the holes with some extra on the sides for tying.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a box full of yummy looking heart cookies!

I love the From My Heart Suite of products that Stampin’ Up! came out with in the new Occasions catalog!  I especially love the metallic red foils in the papers…it also has lots of stripes and dot patterns…my favorites!  I used both on this card!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstok was added on top.
    • A 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 piece of the diagonal stripe in From My Heart Designer Paper is put at an angle in the background.
    • On top is a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of the metallic dot pattern in From My Heart DSP, placed at an opposite angle.
    • A 3/4 x 4 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock was added across the front, towards the top.
    • The Flirty Flamingo Heart Doily is angled on the front and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Happy Valentine’s Day heart from Heartfelt Stamp Set was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the solid heart in the Heart Duo Punch.  It is layered on a Real Red cardstock heart, punched with the Scallop Heart Punch, with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then adhered on front.
    • Two red From My Heart Faceted Gems were added to the Doily Heart.
