CCMC663 – Gnome Punch Art

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It is a fun sketch challenge!

PUNCH ART GNOME

I’ve done several Gnome punch art cards before. This one I saw from Chiaki Haverstick was updated with the Strawberry, Daisy and Ice Cream punches! SOOOOO fun and easy! Here is my version!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
The 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 Well Suited Designer Paper was added to the front on the right side.
Strips of Poppy Parade, Gray Granite and Night of Navy were added to the front staggered.
A circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Layering Circles Die. It was stamped with the greeting from A Good Man
The gnome body was punched from Night of Navy with the Strawberry punch upside down. The feet from Basic Black with the Strawberry stem punch. The arms in Blushing Bride and Night of Navy with the Daisy Punch. The beard from Basic White punched with the Strawberry leaf. The nose with Blushing Bride punched with a 3/8″ Circle. The hat punched from Well Suited DSP with the Ice Cream Punch. All were put together and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two navy rhinestones form the Holiday Rhinestones were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas in July

Happy Saturday! Our theme for the CCMC Saturday Blog Hop this week is Christmas In July! SOOOOO many new products and Christmas items in the new August-December Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Holiday Catalog). I pulled out a stamp set I’ve been SO excited to get, Gnome for the Holidays, to use on my card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A 1/8 x 4 strip of Real Red cardstock was added to hide the seam.
The 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Seaside Spray cardstock was stamped with the snowflake cluster from Snowman Season Stamp Set with Seaside Spray Ink. The greeting was stamped with Memento Black on top.
A 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut on a curve and added to the bottom of the tag piece.
The tree was punched from Heartwarming Hugs DSP with the Pine Tree Punch and added to the snowbank. A few Red Rhinestones were added for “ornaments” and some Linen Thread tied in a bow was added to the top. The corners were rounded with the Detailed Trio Punch.
The gnome from Gnome for the Holidays was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Real Red Combo, Old Olive Combo, Smoky Slate Combo, Ivory and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ DImensionals.
A red rhinestone was added to the mistletoe bow.

Saturday Blog Hop – Luck of the Irish

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Luck of the Irish…any color of green cards! Since we are so close to St. Patrick’s Day, I did my Gnome Leprechaun again!

LEPRECHAUN GNOME

Isn’t he cute? I love the “red” beard on this one. (Check out Thursday’s post if you want to see the other Gnome Leprechaun card I made.)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock is embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder and added on top.
A 1 x 4-1/2 strip of Garden Lane Designer Paper was added across the front, then a 3/4 x 3 placed on top of that.
A 1/8 x 4-3/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock added on top.
The scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched So Sweeting Dies and added on top.
The gnome hat was punched from Garden Green cardstock with the Tree Builder Punch, the nose is 1/2″ Circle Punch from Petal Pink cardstock, the beard is the leaf shape from Tropical Dies cut from Cajun Craze cardstock. The feet are punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Perennial Flower Punch.
The Basic Black band is a 1/8″ strip punched with the Tree Builder Punch, then added to the hat. The buckle is a 1/4 x 1/4 piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.
He is adhered together and added to the scallop rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the small label in Stitched So Sweetly Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
