CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Red/White/Pink Colors

It’s time for a new Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Design Team will be featuring Red/White/Pink color combination! With Valentine’s Day coming up quickly, it wasn’t hard to pull my card together!

I love the set Heart Happiness in the Occasions Catalog and I think it has been overlooked a little because of it’s sister stamp set, Sure Do Love You! Heart Happiness has so many pretty hearts in it! I went with a very simplistic look on my card, but the Glitter Dots really jazz it up! And, aren’t those little floral hearts SO sweet?

Here are the details:

The case is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Powder Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red cardstock is added on top.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, the two lacy hearts are stamped in Real Red and Berry Burst.
The cascading hearts in the background were stamped diagonally with Powder Pink Ink.
Love from Labels to Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Different sizes of pink Glitter Dots were added across the front.

January Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

I’m blessed this month to be able to play along with the Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop! This blog hop is for those of us who have earned the Alaska Incentive trip in July! I’m SO excited to go back to Alaska…the last Alaska Incentive trip was the first one I earned! Our theme this month is the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration products! I used the stamp set, Heart Happiness, in the Occasions Catalog for my card and it is a fun peek-a-boo tri-fold! I love making this type of card…simple, yet interactive!

Here’s the inside opened up!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 2-1/4 and 6-3/4.
The card is opened up and the 2″ circle punch slides in from the right side and punches a circle centered on the 2-1/4 score line.
The shorter front flap folds down and a 1/2 x 4-1/4 strip of striped Painted with Love Specialty Designer Paper is added on the front.
I Love You from Happy Birthday Gorgeous is stamped with Memento Black Ink above the DSP on the flap.
Fold the bottom portion up and add a 4 x 4 piece of the heart pattern from Painted with Love DSP.
Stamp the polka dot heart with Melon Mambo on scrap Whisper White. Punch the heart with 1-3/4 circle punch and adhere to a 2″ circle punched from Rich Razzleberry. Adhere half of the circles to the top of the card inside the already punched circle area.
Also stamp on scrap Whisper White cardstock, two of the little roses with Memento Black. Color with Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Add one to the heart with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional, then add the other slightly under where the top folds down to hold the card closed with another Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Open the card and add a 4×4 Whisper White panel that has been stamped with the cascading hearts in Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo Inks.

Although I’m still in the midst of getting ready for Christmas, I just HAD to use one of the new stamp sets from the new Occasions catalog on my card today…the sketch was just perfect for it! Oh, and just wait until you see what the rest of the Challenge Team came up with…SOOOO cute!

I searched for a greeting to fit the sketch and stumbled across “Bless Your Heart”. My girlfriend says this all the time (she’s from southern Alabama)…and I love it! Do you know what set it is in? I think it worked great!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Rich Razzleberry cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Powder Pink cardstock.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of the new Painted with Love DSP was added to the front, with another 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Painted with Love DSP. You really can’t tell how pretty this is with the gold foil accents in it! LOVE it!
The large heart from Heart Happiness stamp set was stamped with Rich Razzleberry, the medium with Melon Mambo. They were cut with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits, along with the small one cut from Gold Metallic Paper. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A gold heart Metallic Enamel Shape was added to the largest heart.
The sentiment from Jar of Love was stamped with Memento Black under the large heart.
