IM390 – Impressions Abloom

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty field of flowers!

IMPRESSIONS ABLOOM

Well, I’m kind of cheating here.  I had originally designed this card for my Stamp Class last month, then changed up what I wanted to do!  But I thought it fit pretty well for today’s challenge.  Had I made it specifically for this challenge, I probably would have used different colored flowers…but I wasn’t going to re-do it!  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Woven Textures DSP was added on top.
  • The oval from Impressions Abloom Dies was cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, then embossed with the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder, then added to the front.
  • The flower stems and leaf branch from Impressions Abloom Dies were cut from Garden Green cardstock.  The flower tops were cut from Real Red cardstock.  They were assembled together and added to the left side of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Impressions Abloom was stamped on 3/4 x 3-1/2 Basic White strip of cardstock with Real Red Ink and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom flower.
  • A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gold/white Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Birthday Wishes

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Birthday Wishes”.  In June, our family has SO many birthdays!!!  I seem to always use up my stash of cards during this time of year!  I had originally thought to do a masculine card, but this new Charming Day bundle has been calling my name!

CHARMING DAY

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Birchwood Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • Two of the leaf branches were cut from Cloud Cover cardstock using the Die and added to the front.
  • The small floral image was stamped twice with Cloud Cover Ink and cut with the Dies, then added over the branches.
  • The greeting was stamped with Cloud Cover Ink on 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock and tucked under the flowers.
  • A trio of 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the center of the flowers and the background.

CSF874 – Perfectly Pears

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a pretty color combo challenge this week!

PERFECTLY PEARS

I still have my Perfectly Pears Bundle sitting out on my desk…I can’t seem to put it down!  Here’s another card using it with this color challenge!  I admit that I never would have put these three colors together by myself!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 to form the base card.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Timeless Plaid DSP was added to the front.
  • Next a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock was added at an angle on the front.
  • The two pears outlines and flowers were stamped on Petal Pink cardstock with Memento Black Ink and then the pear insides and flower centers with Cajun Craze Ink.
  • The two leaf stem outlines were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and the solid insides with Cloud Cover Ink.
  • All were cut with the Dies.
  • The leaf branch was cut with thes Die from Cloud Cover cardstock and the long label from Petal Pink cardstock.  Thank you was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink.
  • Everything was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

CS198 – Poppin’ By

It’s a new month and for the month of June we are featuring “masks”.  There are SO many different ways to mask!

POPPIN’ BY

Here’s a third type of masking that I called Inside Masking.  Cut an opening in your mask and lay on top of your cardstock layer, then brush the ink on the inside of the opening.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was reverse masked with Lemon Lolly Ink brushed inside the opening…darker on the edges and lighter towards the center.
  • The popcorn bucket was stamped twice…once with Daffodil Delight Ink and once with Real Red Ink and cut with the dies.  The eyes and feet were colored with Basic Black Marker.  The red and white bucket was cut away from the popcorn and then adhered over top of the Daffodil Delight stamped image.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The glasses were cut from Basic Black cardstock and adhered.
  • Two popcorn kernels were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and added next to the bucket.
  • A 3/4 by 4 Basic Black strip was cut at an angle on the ends.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 3 piece of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.  They were layered together then popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white/gold Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

IM389 – Everyday Arches Dog

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a cute pack of dogs and cats!

EVERYDAY ARCHES DOG & BLOOMING PHRASES

Can you believe I don’t have ANY current dog or cat stamps!  Nothing even close!  So, I sought out inspiration from Pinterest and saw a template for a dog that I knew I could recreate using Stampin’ Up! Everyday Arches Dies and a couple punches!  Woohoo!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was added on top.
  • The head and body were cut with Everyday Arches Dies from Basic Beige cardstock.  The body was added flat to the Cloud Cover layer and the head was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The ears are the Hearts of Elegance heart die cut from Early Espresso cardstock, then cut in half vertically.  They was added to the top of the arch, folding over the tips to the back.
  • The eye patch is the flower from the Hearts of Elegance die cut from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered to the ace.
  • The eyes are 1/2″ circles punched from Pecan Pie cardstock, the pupils punched from Basic Black cardstock with the 1/4″ Circle Punch.  A highlight of White Gel pen was added to the pupils.
  • The nose is the toadstool from the Terrific Toadstool Builder Punch cut from Basic Black cardstock and highlighted with the White Gel Pen.  It is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The tongue is the smallest Everyday Arches cut from Real Red cardstock.
  • The greeting from Blooming Phrases stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and trimmed the word Hello.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Beach Time”.  With the weather FINALLY warming up in Ohio, it is time to think about a trip to the beach!

NOTES & TOTES

This bundle was one of the first to jump into my shopping cart!  SO cute!  My Stamp Class made this card last month and they loved it!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Summer Splash was embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was torn across the top, then stamped with the “sand” image randomly over the entire piece with Crumb Cake Ink.  The greeting from Notes & Totes was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink.
  • The tote was cut with the Die from 3 x 4-3/4 Florals in Bloom DSP and folded on the scorelines.
  • The handle, bands, base and sunglasses were cut with the Dies from Misty Moonlight cardstock and added to the front of the tote.
  • The rim of the sunglasses, starfish and bottle were cut from Timid Tiger cardstock with the Die.  The sunglasses were adhered together and the bottle was stamped with the sun in Timid Tiger Ink.  Just the top of the bottle was cut again from Basic White cardstock and trimmed, then adhered to the Timid Tiger bottle top.
  • All pieces were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two orange 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the starfish and sun on the bottle.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a fun sketch this week!

PERFECTLY PEARS

Yes!  I’m finally using my new stamp set, Perfectly Pears, that I won at the spin-the-wheel on the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip!  I love that there is an entire suite of products for this…and the rest of my Suite just came, and I couldn’t wait to get started!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 to form the base card.
  • A 2 x 5 piece of Painterly Pears DSP was added to the left side.
  • Another 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 coordinating Painterly Pears DSP was added on top.
  • A 3/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was added across the front.
  • Hello was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The large pear and flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White.  The inside pear with Darling Duckling Ink and speckled with Flirty Flamingo Ink.  The flower centers were stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink.  Some Darling Duckling Ink was brushed on the edges of the flowers.  All were cut with the Perfectly Pears Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The outline leaves were stamped full strength with Old Olive Ink and the insides with stamped off Old Olive Ink.  It was cut with the Dies and added to the top of the pear with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of yellow Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background.

It’s a new month and for the month of June we are featuring “masks”.  There are SO many different ways to mask!

SUNRISE SAILING

Here’s a second type of masking that I called Reverse Masking.  Place the mask shape down and then brush the ink around the edges.  I also did a third type of masking…torn edge…on this card.  It’s similar to my straight edge card from last week but uses a torn edge!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • I punched a 2″ circle from scrap paper and laid it on top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock towards the left side.  I used a Blending Brush to add Cloud Cover Ink around the edges…brushing from inside the mask circle to the outside.
  • The greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper right corner.
  • I tore a piece of copy paper across the top and placed it above the area I wanted to make the waves.  I used a Blending Brush to add the Cloud Cover Ink across the bottom, then stamped the long waves image with Cloud Cover Ink over top, tone-on-tone.
  • The sailboat was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock and the stripes with Cloud Cover Ink.  It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The boat hull was colored with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends.
  •  The cloud was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
