IM378 – Meant to Bee

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a spring showers umbrella image!

MEANT TO BEE

I had to pull out my bag of tricks to come up with this card!  I used a couple different die sets to create the flower-filled umbrella!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Melon Mambo cardstock is added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the Layering Leaves stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink across the top.
  • A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Full of Life Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
  • The Meant to Bee hexagon is cut from Pool Party cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The umbrella was cut from Full of Life DSP with the Framed Scenes Die, trimmed in half, then a 1″ Circle cut the curves along the top.
  • The handle is the pitchfork from Storybook Garden Patch Dies cut from Basic Gray and the end of the handle from the Full of Life DSP.
  • The flowers and leaves were cut with the Meant to Bee dies from Basic White, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Azure Afternoon cardstocks.  They were assembled with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added to the umbrella.
  • Some white Baker’s Twine Essential Pack was tied in a bow around the handle.
  • Small Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the centers of the flowers for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Wishes

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Easter Wishes”.  Our Easter is VERY late this year…the end of April!  But here’s a few ideas for you!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

This Storybook Friends stamp set and coordinating designer paper is very Beatrix Potter looking, so I wanted to switch it up a little and use some more modern touches!  I found the patterns in the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack to work perfectly!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of green dotted Wildflower Birthday DSP is added towards the left side.
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of pink gingham Wildflower Birthday DSP is added over it towards the left side.
  • The daisy print tag from Wildflower Birthday DSP was cut out.  A 1 x 2-1/2 strip of the green dotted DSP was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the tag.
  • Some Gold Textured Thread was tied around the top in a bow.  The tag was added at an angle to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The yellow die cut daisy flower and small leaf were added to the top of the tag with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The mom bunny and kid bunny were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic Whitecardstock, colored with Bubble Bath, Peach Pie, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, cut with the Storybook Friends Dies and added to the front of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Easter Greetings from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and punched with the 1-1/2 circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of peach 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background/circle and a pink one to the center of the daisy!

CSF862 – Ocean Friends Favor

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a cheerful color combination to inspire you!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Serendipity!!!  So, normally we do cards for our challenges, but I’ve been wanting to show off these favors that I made for a few of my friends who were on the Royal Caribbean crafting cruise with me a couple weeks ago!  This package just happened to be the colors for today’s challenge!  We had a blast!  Cruising…and crafting…two of my favorite things!  These little “hot hands” are to hold your craft project while heat embossing, gluing, or any other time you need an extra hand!  I thought they were so fun and came in a variety of colors.  This one I saved for myself because I love the Lemon Lime Twist color!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The tag is the solid center shape from the Meant to Bee Dies cut from Summer Splash cardstock.  It was stamped with the bubbles in Summer Splash ink randomly in the background.
  • The coral was cut with the Ocean Friends Die from Calypso Coral cardstock, then cut in half.  It was added to the die cut tag.
  • The crab was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist outline and stamped off solid image on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Ocean Friends Die.  It was tucked in the coral with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Ocean Friends was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A coral Sunny Day Iridescent Dot was added to the background.
  • The top was punched with 1/8″ Circle Punch (retired) and tied around the 3 x 9 Printed Gusseted Cello Bag (retired).
  • The cello bag was tied closed with a 1-1/2 Gold Open Weave Trim in a bow.

IM377 – Storybook Garden Patch

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a spring flowers print!

STORYBOOK GARDEN PATCH

I really like this stamp set full of gardening tools and plants!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper was added on top.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of coordinating Lost Lagoon Perennial Lavender DSP was added over it towards the bottom.
  • The Smoky Slate cardstock was cut with the Everyday Arches Dies (can you tell these are my new favorite?) and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The watering can was cut from Cherry Cobbler with the solid die and Real Red with the detail die.  They were glued together and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The gardening basket from Storybook Garden Patch stamp set was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Pebbled Path cardstock and cut with the die.  It was added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two greenery plants were cut from Garden Green and one from the Lost Lagoon Perennial Lavender DSP, then added to the basket with slices of Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Unbounded Love was stamped with Memento Black on 5/8 x 2 Basic White cardstock and tucked under the side of the watering can.
  • Some small 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the plants for the “flowers”.

Saturday Blog Hop – Wishing For Spring

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Wishing for Spring”.  I know those of us in the Midwest cannot WAIT for warmer temperatures!

MIXED FLORALS

I think the tulips are SO pretty in this Mixed Florals stamp set…I just had to make a garden of them!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the tulips image twice, one higher than the other.  They were water colored using Peach Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Summer Splash and Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Write Markers and a Water Painter.
  • The top was brushed with Pool Party Ink and the bottom brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink using Blending Brushes.
  • Happy Spring from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Pretty in Pink cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Party Dots were added in the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is another sketch challenge…don’t you love them?  We hope you play along!

THANKFUL GARDEN

Thankful Garden is a new Online Exclusive Bundle that I’ve had LOTS of fun creating with!  This card came together very easily!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was adhered to the front.
  • The 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 panel of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Thankful Garden image in Memento Black Ink and colored with Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  It was added at an angle on the front.
  • A 1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Lovely Garden DSP was added across the front.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 2-3/4 piece of Peach Pie cardstock and cut with banner ends.  It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three Earth Tones Shimmer Gems were added in the background.

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Easter as the focus on our cards!  Even though Easter is late in the Spring this year, it is always nice to have ideas to get a jump start on them!

CUTE AS CAN BEE

Super simple card…I let the Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper do all the work on here!  Only the greeting is actually stamped!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper is added across the front.
  • The coordinating 2 x 4 piece of Cute As Can Bee DSP is added over top towards the left side.
  • Pool Party cardstock was cut with the Everyday Arches Die and stamped with the Storybook Friends greeting in Petunia Pop Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • One of the bees from the DSP was hand-cut and added next to the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of yellow Starburst Sequins were added to the background.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a colorful tree print!

PEEKABOO FOREST

I only have a limited number of stamp sets and dies with me here at our Florida home and brought NO trees with me!  But I think the Full of Life DSP and Peekaboo Forest worked out pretty well!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pebbled Path cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of multi stripe Full of Life DSP was added to the front.
  • The 2 x 4 piece of stripe Full of Life DSP was cut horizontally using the grass Peekaboo Forest Die and added across the bottom.
  • The tree from Peekaboo Forest was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Pebbled Path cardstock and cut with the Die.  The tree stump was cut across the top so it is free standing.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Several leaf clusters were cut from multi color Full of Life DSP and trimmed so they are free standing.  They were added to the top of the tree trunk with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bear was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake and colored with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Peekaboo Forest Die and added to the inside of the tree trunk with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Let’s Celebrate from Simply Said was stamped with Melon Mambo Ink on 1/2 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut as a banner and adhered under the bear paws.
  • A trio of Clear & Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
