Saturday Blog Hop – Animal Love

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring Animal Love! We are using one of the animal critter stamps for a Valentine!

OCEAN FRIENDS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was added on top.
The large, stitched heart from Hearts of Elegance was cut from Toadstool Gardens DSP and stamped with the greeting from Hearts of Elegance in Cajun Craze Ink. It was adhered to the front towards the top.
The coral was cut with the Ocean Friends Die from Pool Party cardstock and added at the bottom.
One crab was stamped with Calypso Coral outline and stamped off Calypso Coral solid, then colored with the Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends.
The other crab was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink for the detail and stamped off Cajun Craze Ink for the solid image. Both were cut with the Ocean Friends Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A small, stitched heart was cut with the Hearts of Elegance Die from Poppy Parade cardstock and added tucked in the claws.
The starfish were cut from Calypso Coral cardstock and added to the coral.
A trio of Sunny Day Iridescent Dots (2 blue, 1 orange) were added to the background.

I just had TOO much fun creating this card! I’m saving it for my husband’s Valentine, so I need to hide it, so he doesn’t see it on my desk! CSF853 – Sketched Butterflies

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a fun sketch challenge…looks like a pocket card to me!

SKETCHED BUTTERFLIES

I’ve had this Sketched Butterflies Bundle for a while and think I only used it one time! It worked out pretty well to combine the butterflies with the FREE Sale-A-Bration 12×12 Bloom Inspirations Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
I used the small butterfly cluster image to randomly stamp them with Highland Heather Ink around the top portion of the base card.
The Bloom Inspirations DSP was cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, then cut on the diagonal (save the other piece for another card!) It was adhered to the front of the base card with Tear & Tape on the two sides and bottom creating a pocket.
A 3/4 x 4-1/4 strip of coordinating Bloom Inspirations DSP was added across the bottom.
For my pocket pieces, I cut 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 pieces of Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo cardstock.
Next, I cut a 2 x 4 piece of the coordinating DSP and added it to the Melon Mambo one. Then cut a 2 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped the greeting along the top in Highland Heather Ink. I also stamped a small butterfly in Memento Black towards the bottom and colored it with Peach Pie and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
The medium, side and small sized butterflies were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the dies and added to the front and the pocket pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The medium and small detail butterflies were cut with the dies from Peach Pie cardstock and adhered at the bottom of the DSP pocket piece.

Some Two-Toned Sparkle Gems were added to the bodies of each butterfly.
Tuck the pocket pieces inside the pocket with the butterfly wings slightly hanging over the edge as shown.

CS177 – Hearts of Elegance

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Hearts

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Here’s another quick and easy Hearts of Elegance card! Hard to tell in the photo, but the large heart die has three rows of stitching along the edge! Fancy! I liked it cut out of the DSP, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The large, stitched heart die is cut from the Marbled Elegance Designer Paper.
Some Gold Twisted Thread is wrapped around the heart (helps to secure it in the back before you tie it) and then a bow tied in the upper right corner. A Mini Glue Dot keeps it secure on the front. The heart is then added to the front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Hearts of Elegance Be Mine greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Melon Mambo and cut with the smaller heart die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Heart Sequins were added to the heart and the background.

IM368 – Storybook Garden Patch

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is an array of fruit!

STORYBOOK GARDEN PATCH

I looked thru the current sets that I have with me and found this little strawberry image in the Storybook Garden Patch stamp set. I paired it with a SAB product, Fruit Salad 6×6 DSP, that you can earn for FREE with a $60 order during January and February! I decided on a gatefold card so I could show off a couple different patterns of the DSP…the prints are SO fun!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 3 and 7-1/4.
A 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Fruit Salad DSP was added to the left panel and a 1 x 5-1/4 piece of coordinating Fruit Salad DSP was added to the right panel.
The frame was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Storybook Friends Die.
A 1-5/8 x 2-1/8 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Layering Leaves in Memento Black Ink and adhered behind the opening of the frame. The frame was attached only to the left panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The little strawberry cluster from Storybook Garden Patch stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Storybook Garen Patch Dies and added to the corner of the frame with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Inside a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the same Fruit Salad DSP was added to the left side of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock.
The same strawberry cluster was stamped and colored as the one on the front.
The Basic White panel was adhered to the inside.

The Fruit Salad DSP definitely does most of the work, but I like the added touch of the strawberry cluster! OK, check out Debbie’s Inspiration Monday card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Saturday Blog Hop – Hearts & More Hearts

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring Hearts and More Hearts! Several options of stamp sets to use for this theme!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

I decided to use Hearts of Elegance Bundle again but went with a different color scheme than regular reds and pinks! Pool Party worked great!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Hearts of Elegance greeting in Memento Black Ink towards the bottom and was added on top of the base card.
A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Floral & Gingham Vellum was added to the left side.
The larger stitched heart and small stitched heart were cut from Pool Party cardstock using the Hearts of Elegance Dies.
The small outline heart was used to cut the Pool Party Gingham Vellum.
The cardstock hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Vellum heart directly adhered.
A trio of Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added to the background.
Some Lost Lagoon Soft Cording was tied in a bow and added to the gingham heart.

CSF852 – Cake Celebrations

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a pretty color combination for you to use!

CAKE CELEBRATIONS

This is a fun cake bundle for birthdays or any celebrations! Can’t go wrong with cake!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock was added across the center horizontally.
Two 1-1/4 x 4- strips of Toadstool Gardens DSP (SAB) were added to a 4 x 4-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock on each side.
The Cake Celebrations (Online Exclusive) cake pedestal was stamped in the center with Early Espresso Ink towards the bottom. The large and small cake layers were stamped OFF with Melon Mambo, then the detail image with FULL strength Melon Mambo on top of each layer.
The three small flowers were stamped with Melon Mambo Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and two leaf sets with Granny Apple Green cardstock. All were cut with the Cake Celebrations Dies (Online Exclusive). They were added to the top of the cake with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Celebrate from Cake Celebrations was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink across the top.
A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the center of the flowers for a little bling.
Some Gold Twisted Thread was tied in a bow and added to the pedestal with a Mini Glue Dot.

It’s another Tuesday and time for our Creatively Simple challenges …this month’s theme is Hearts!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Here’s a quick and easy Valentine’s Day card for you using the Hearts of Elegance Online Exclusive! Just a couple runs thru the Cut & Emboss Machine, a few embellishments and DSP and you are done!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Marbled Elegance Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
The Hearts of Elegance greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink in the upper left corner. The Basic White layer was added to the front of the base card.
The stitched Hearts of Elegance heart was cut from Gold Metallic Paper and Poppy Parade cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Gold Textured Thread was tied in a bow and added to the Poppy Parade Heart.
A trio of Heart Sequins were added to the background.

IM367 – Friendly Seagulls

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is print of seagulls! This painting would go SO well in my Florida house!

FRIENDLY SEAGULLS

Of course, I just HAD to use the new FREE Friendly Seagulls Sale-A-Bration stamp set. This stamp set is SO fun to work with! I had a blast designing our upcoming Create with Stamping Friends Collection! I was happy I also could use it on today’s card…which I love, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was sponged with some clouds in the upper left corner in Pool Party Ink and some birds stamped in Memento Black Ink.
A 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP was cut on a diagonal and then added to the bottom of the Basic White. Then it was added to the front of the base card.
Three 1/2 x 2-1/4 Crumb Cake pier posts were brushed with Crumb Cake Ink and embossed with the Birchwood Embossing Folder, then were added at staggering heights and trimmed at the bottom.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped around two of them and then adhered to the front of the card.
The three seagulls were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Lost Lagoon and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then hand-cut and added to the pier posts with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1/2 x 2 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was stamped with the Friendly Seagulls greeting in Memento Black Ink and the end trimmed at an angle. It was added on the top right side.
