IM394 – Sweet Jar

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a a candy jar bar!

SWEET JAR

What a yummy picture! I used my Sweet Jar Punch to create my jar full of treats!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-1/4 x 5 piece of Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper was added along the left side.
A 2 x 4-1/2 piece of Pool Party was added overlapping the right side.
The Flirty Flamingo cardstock was cut with the Everyday Arches Die and stamped with the greeting in Memento Black and Sweet Sorbet Inks in the upper left corner. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Sweet Jar image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the polka dot Turtle-y Cute DSP and on a piece of Pool Party Cardstock. They were both punched with the Sweet Jar Punch. The top portion of the DSP jar was cut away following the dots and then adhered over the Pool Party one. The lid was punched from Pool Party cardstock. The jar and lid were added to the front arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the jar lid.
A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Metallica

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Metallica”…using Gold, Silver or other Metallics on our cards.

JOLLY HOLLY

Here’s a new Online Exclusive that I am just getting around to working with…the new Jolly Holly Bundle! It has a stamp set, dies and a cool Hybrid background embossing folder that matches the dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gold Foil Paper is embossed & cut with the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder. The cut pieces were lifted and the layer adhered to the front.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of gold plaid Regal Distressed Patterns DSP was added to the front towards the bottom.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 3 piece of Basic Beige cardstock, then end cut at an angle, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three poinsettias and two holly leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock. They were colored with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three small gold Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added to the center of the poinsettias.

CSF878 – Perfectly Pears

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:

PERFECTLY PEARS

I knew I didn’t want to use flowers to recreate this card, but I love the layout! Hmmm, Perfectly Pears to the rescue!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Painterly Pears Designer Paper was added to the top.
The Party Banner was cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock and added to the front.
Two pears from Perfectly Pears stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink outlines and Lemon Lime Twist brushed with Old Olive Ink for the insides. They were speckled with Cajun Craze Ink and cut with the dies.
The leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink and Old Olive Ink for the insides, then cut with the dies.
The pears and leaves/stems were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two flower clusters were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. The centers were stamped with Cajun Craze Ink. They were cut with the dies and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greenery vine was cut from Old Olive cardstock and added to the bottom of the banner.
Celebrate from Thoughtful Moments Dies/Embossing Folder was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of green Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background.

Yep…three sets of dies, but it was worth it! I’ll be using this layout again! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

CS202 – Birthday Celebration

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Party Time”! June is our big birthday month around here…now we wait until my grandson’s birthday at the end of August!

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

I think I bought this set JUST for the Make a Wish greeting! This card was super fun to make!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cute as Can Bee Designer Paper was added to the front.
The banner from the Birthday Celebration Dies was cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock, the tassels from Lemon Lime Twist and added to the center.
The coordinating stripe DSP was cut to 1/2 x 3-1/2 and added over the bottom of the banner.
A 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of Pool Party cardstock was cut with flag ends and added across the stripe DSP.
The greeting from Birthday Celebration was stamped with Petunia Pop Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the 2″ Circle punch. It was added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The little flower was cut with the Die from Petunia Pop cardstock and the leaves from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added to the bottom o the circle.
Some Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the top of the tassels and the center of the flower.

IM393 – Framed Scenes

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a scenic landscape.

FRAMED SCENES

It’s my first time using this Framed Scenes Bundle! I especially like this “frame” that surrounds the image when you use the die!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Two pieces of Timeless Plaid DSP were cut 1-1/4 x 4 and 3 x 4 and adhered to the front right side, leaving a small gap between them.
The Framed Scene image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Shaded Spruce, Pool Party and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
The image was cut with the frame die and the frame was colored with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends (this saved me from having to cut another piece to go around the image!) The image was adhered flat to the front and the frame was popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Birthday from Simply Said was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut with the Framed Scenes smaller oval die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Holographic Resin Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Red & Green

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Red & Green…Christmas in July”. I always have fun using a leaf image to make a flower! The leaf in the new Artistic Leaves stamp set worked perfectly for my poinsettia for Christmas!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3 x 5 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper (just sold out) was added to the front.
The greeting was stamped on Basic White cut with the Party Banner Die. Joy from Jolly Holly Stamp Set was stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Five of the single leaf in Artistic Leaves were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, the filled in with the Shaded Spruce Light Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut.
The single leaf was stamped five times around in a circle with Real Red Ink, then colored with Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut.
Another five leaves were stamped individually with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added over the circle of red leaves.
The leaf circle was added first to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the single red leaves on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The green leaves were tucked under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of large Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the poinsettia.

CSF877 – Charming Day

CHARMING DAY

The flowers in Charming Day are SO pretty and I immediately thought of that stamp set when I saw this layout! And the coordinating designer paper is GORGEOUS!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Floral Charm DSP was added on top.
The reverse Night of Navy floral side was cut to four pieces 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and added to the center.
The small Charming Day flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Petunia Pop, Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Charming Day greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White cardstock and brushed with Petunia Pop Ink using a Blending Brush. The ends were cut at an angle and added to the front.
A trio of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added to the background.

CS201 – Simply Said

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Party Time”! Do you have any parties to attend this summer?

SIMPLY SAID

This card is an idea for when you have to run out the door in 5 minutes but forgot to make a card! The Celebratory Sips Designer Paper does all the work! I love these fun prints of drinks and bottles!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Strawberry Slush cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Celebratory Sips DSP was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and added to the front.
Another strip of 1 x 4 polka dot Celebratory Sips DSP was added across the front.
The greeting from Simply Said Stamp Set was stamped with Strawberry Slush Ink on Basic White cardstock and then cut with the oval from Framed Scenes Dies.
14″ of Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon was looped back and forth and added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold in place.
The oval greeting was added over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added next to the greeting to finish it off with a little bling!
