IM365 – Delightful Wishes

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is pretty floral heart!  Time for me to start concentrating on Valentine’s Day!

DELIGHTFUL WISHES

I had an idea to stamp a cluster of random floral images onto Basic White cardstock and then cut out the heart from the center of the stamped images!  This is what it created!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Boho Blue Ink and Petunia Pop Ink towards the bottom.
  • On scrap Basic White cardstock, the cluster flower solid image from Delightful Wishes was stamped with Bubble Bath a couple times and the detail image with Petunia Pop on one and stamped off Petunia Pop on the other.
  • The larger flower solid image was stamped off with Boho Blue Ink and the detail with Boho Blue Ink on top.
  • Some of the leaves were randomly scattered around with Soft Sea Foam Ink.
  • The little sparkle flowers were stamped with Fresh Freesia Ink to fill in the blank areas.
  • Once all was stamped, the heart from Hearts of Elegance Dies cut out the shape.  It was added to the front of the base card.
  • A small heart was cut from Bubble Bath cardstock using the Hearts of Elegance Dies and added next to the larger heart.
  • Some Iridescent Striped Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the top of the heart.
  • A Two-Tone Sparkle Gem was added to the small heart (these are GORGEOUS in real life!!!)

Saturday Blog Hop – Winter Birthday

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring Winter birthday cards.  I always need a few of these this time of year!

SIMPLY SAID & MIXED LABELS

I made a slimline card with the focus on the Winter Meadow Designer Paper!  I added the Mixed Labels Dies for the greeting and banner, along with the GORGEOUS Two-Toned Sparkle Gems, as something new!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 7 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 3-1/2 and folded to form the slimline base.
  • A 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of Winter Meadow DSP was cut featuring the pretty print and added to the front.  This type of card is great to use those big print patterns of DSP!
  • The banner was cut with the Mixed Labels Die from Shaded Spruce cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Simply Said greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with another Mixed Labels Die, then added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was doubled and tied in a bow and added to the side of the label.
  • Three Two-Toned Sparkle Gems were added to the background (these are GORGEOUS!)

Happy Christmas Eve!  I hope you are enjoying the holidays…I love all the festive lights and the good mood that most people are in!  We have a busy couple of days.  But I do hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for December is Season’s Greetings!

WARMS MY HEART

I think this is such a fun seasonal set!  But I hadn’t used this image yet, so wanted to make sure I did!  At first, I couldn’t tell what she was holding…looking closer it is a snow globe with a snowman inside!  How fun is that?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Snowy Wonder Designer Paper is added on top.
  • I cut the circle from Basic White cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature Dies, then stamped the girl with Memento Black Ink.  She was colored with Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake and Ivory Stampin’ Blends.
  • The greeting from Warms My Heart was stamped with Memento Black ink on Petal Pink cardstock and cut with a smaller circle in the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
  • The snowflake was cut from Basic White using the One of a Kind Die.
  • All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A large white Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishment was added to the center of the snowflake for a little bling!

 

 

I wouldn’t have picked Granny Apple Green to use on her top, but my Color Coach showed me that it was a Triadic color choice!  Love it!  Now, check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

IM364 – Merriest Trees

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is pretty decorated tree…just in time for Christmas!

MERRIEST TREES

I love the shape of the Christmas tree in this set…and had fun pairing it with these colors!  The Petal Pink gives it a little dash of unexpected!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink cardstock is added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was stamped with the Merriest Trees solid image in Soft Sea Foam Ink and the details in Garden Green Ink.
  • The trunk was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic White was torn across the top and brushed with Balmy Blue Ink lightly to create a shadow.  It was stamped with the greeting in Garden Green Ink and adhered to the bottom of the Basic White layer, then added to the front.
  • The 1/4″ Petal Pink Diagonal Trim was tied in a bow and added to the tree with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The pink, gold and green Blooming Pearls were added to the tree for ornaments…three of each color.

Saturday Blog Hop – Let It Snow

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring snow cards…one of my favorite themes!

SNOWY WONDER

Of course, I have quite the selection of snowman, snowflake, snow stamps and dies!  I really like the snowman in Snowy Wonder because he is nice and easy to stamp and go!  There are not a lot of fussy pieces to cut and assemble to make him look complete.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Snowy Scenes Designer Paper is cut with the heart shape from the new online exclusive, Heart of Elegance dies.  (Save that heart for another project!)  Add the layer to the front of the base card with Foam Strips,
  • The snowman, hat, and candy cane were all stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and cut with the Snowy Wonder Dies.  They were colored with Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, Bubble Bath and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  They were added to the inside of the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A hat band was just a sliver cut from Poppy Parade cardstock.
  • The scarf is Real Red & White Baker’s Twine tied in a knot around his neck.
  • Three snowflakes from Snowy Wonder were cut with the die from Basic White and added around the heart.
  • The Real Red & White Peppermints were added to the center of the snowflakes and on his hat band.
  • Let it Snow from Snowy Wonder stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink inside the heart.

CSF849 – Snowy Wonder

Another Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. What a unique sketch!  I’m excited to see what the Challenge Team does with this!

SNOWY WONDER

I liked the grid, but thought it needed a little sumthin’ sumthin’!  I ended up doing a little focal element with the penguin from Snowy Wonder!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • I cut three 1/2 x 4 strips and three 1/2 x 3-1/4 strips of Snowy Scenes Designer Paper in two patterns (actually the reverse of each other).  They were weaved on the front and adhered.
  • Let it Snow from Snowy Wonder stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the bottom right corner.
  • I punched a 2″ Circle from Pool Party cardstock and stamped the snow flurries with White Craft Ink all over the background randomly.
  • I tore a 1 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock across the top for the snowbank.  I added it to the bottom of the circle and trimmed off the excess.
  • Two trees were stamped with Garden Green Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, colored with Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends, and cut with the Snowy Wonder Dies.  The penguin was hand-cut from the designer paper.  All were added to the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CS172 – Festive Words

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for December is Season’s Greetings!

FESTIVE WORDS

This is really a fun stamp set!  I used markers to get the different colors and make the greeting within the image pop!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Reindeer Days DSP was added on top.
  • The 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the tree coloring the red rubber with Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Pecan Pie and Crushed Curry Markers directly.
  • Some Iridescent Striped Ribbon was tied in a bow around the top portion.  The Basic White panel was added to the front.
  • I found a retired enamel gold star in my stash and added it to the star on the image or use a gold dot!

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is another wintery landscape!

ONE OF A KIND

I’m slightly obsessed about these simple snowflakes in the One of A Kind Dies.  The stamp set also has some great greetings for winter and all through the year!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was randomly stamped with the trio of small snowflakes in the One of a Kind stamp set using Pool Party Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of tree pattern Winter Meadow Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added to the bottom.
  • A small piece of Silver Cord was adhered to the back and wrapped to the front and adhered.
  • The snowflake outline was cut from Pool Party cardstock with the One of a Kind Die and the detail from Basic White cardstock.  They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some White Striped Trim was wrapped around the Basic White layer and tied in a bow towards the left side.  That layer was added to the base card.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pool Party cardstock and cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the center of the snowflake and the top and bottom of the tag.
