CS157 – Christmas Friends

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”. So many great bird images in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup…this should be fun!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

I know…it seems SUPER early to be showing Christmas cards already, doesn’t it? But the way time is flying by, it will soon be time to mail off those cards! This is a cute card using the new set, Christmas Friends, in the mini catalog! Isn’t he cute with his little Santa hat?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon c/s, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pretty Peacock c/s was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow Designer Paper (carryover Online Exclusive) was added next.
A 1 x 4 strip of Pretty Peacock c/s was placed near the bottom.
The owl from Christmas Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Gray Granite Combo, Dark Daffodil Delight, Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends.
The trees were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Lost Lagoon and Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
All were cut with the Christmas Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the words. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background for a little bling.

IM348 – Snowman Hugs

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty field of flowers! The first thing I saw in this photo is the bright colored stripes so I grabbed the Full of Life 6×6 DSP paper pack to see if I could find anything that would work! And the tropical snowman in the new Mini Catalog seemed like it would be a perfect fit!

SNOWMAN HUGS

Now, I know…a snowman in the tropics isn’t going to last very long and I could have made him out of sand…but oh well! He was just too cute made out of snow so let’s just go with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder (I love the texture of this folder!)
The 4 x 4 piece of Full of Life DSP was cut along the top at an angle and added to the Pool Party layer.
The circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and stamped with the snowman in Memento Black Ink. He and the cockatoo were colored with Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Pool Party and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends. The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 2-1/2 strip of Pool Party cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. A 1/4 x 3-1/4 strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock was added under it before adding it to the bottom of the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some white Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was tied in a bow and added next to the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot
Three green Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background for a little bling.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Pocket Cards

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. During August we have been doing fun-folds! This week’s challenge is pocket cards…any type of pocket card.

WARMS MY HEART

This is another upcoming Sept-Dec Mini Catalog stamp set that I just had to preorder! They are small enough images to be easy to color and I had lots of fun with this fall apple season image! And don’t you LOVE this Take a Bow DSP? PERFECT small prints!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 with the shorter flap on top.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of polka dot Take A Bow 6×6 Designer Paper was added to the inside of the back panel.
Another 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of plaid Take A Bow DSP was added to the front flap.
Some Tear & Tape was added to each side on the shorter panel and then adhered to the back panel to form the pocket.
Then 3/4 x 4-1/2 strip of the polka dot Take A Bow DSP was added across the front pocket.
The circle was cut from Basic White with the Spotlight on Nature Die, then stamped with the apple lady in Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Poppy Parade, Ivory, Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from More Than Autumn was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/4 x 1 Granny Apple Green cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then adhered to the edge of the circle.
The pocket card is 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 Basic White cardstock and stamped the greeting in the center with Poppy Parade Ink.
The Keeping Tabs was punched from Granny Apple Green cardstock and folded around the top left side.
a 1 x 4-1/2 strip of plaid Take a Bow DSP was added across the bottom.
Two apples from More Than Autumn were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends then added to the Keeping Tabs punched piece.
A trio of Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CSF833 – More Than Autumn

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s another fun sketch challenge!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

I still have my More Than Autumn Bundle out on my desk, so grabbed it again to make this fun card! Don’t you love the snowman peppermint latte? Looks yummy to me!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Iconic Celebrations 6×6 Designer Paper was added to a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then added to the front.
The circle was cut from Basic Beige cardstock using the Everyday Details Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The cup and candy cane were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Bubble Bath and Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the dies and added to the bottom of the circle.
The small heart was cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the More Than Autumn Die and added to the cup.
The snowman face was cut with the smallest circle from Basic White cardstock with the Everyday Details Die. The eyes are 1/8″ circle from Basic Black and highlighted with a White Gel Pen. The nose is a leftover piece from the word “pumpkin” from the More Than Autumn Dies (from the p). The mouth was drawn with the Basic Black Marker. It was added to the cup on the card front.
The whipped cream was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Bubble Bath cardstock and the sprinkles with Cherry Cobbler Ink. It was cut with the More Than Autumn Die and added to the top of the snowman face, along with the candy cane.
A Warm Hello from Filled with Cheer Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints were added to the background.
Some Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the corner of the cup.

CS156 – Textured Floral

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our August theme is “Scenic”.

TEXTURED FLORAL

I really let the Splendid Autumn DSP do all the work on this card! I love this floral scene on one of the sheets but decided to jazz it up a little by cutting it into a small mosaic! I thought this greeting worked great!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The front was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
The Splendid Autumn DSP was cut to 3 x 4 and then cut in half at 1-1/2 and those cut to 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 to equal four pieces.
The DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The foliage was cut from Cajun Craze cardstock with the Textured Floral Die.
The greeting from Textured Floral was stamped with Cajun Craze on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Labeled with Love Punch. The foliage was added behind the label and then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two gold Faux Glass Dots were added next to the greeting.

SUPER simple and easy to make a mass quantity if you needed! I recently have been put in touch with a local Senior Citizens Center to donate birthday cards, so I plan on using up my older packages of scenic DSP with this template! IM347 – Everyday Details

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty tablescape! I love the soft blue color…it reminded me of Boho Blue!

EVERYDAY DETAILS

I went looking thru my stamps that have flowers in them (only a FEW! lol!) and found this one in the Everyday Details stamp set and combined it with the Countryside Inn Designer Paper

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Three 1-1/4 x 4 strips of Countryside Inn Designer Paper were added to the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, then added to the base card.
The large circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Everyday Details Die. It was stamped with the vase of flowers in Memento Black Ink and colored with Boho Blue, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The first part of the greeting was inked with the Basic Black Maker and stamped on Boho Blue cardstock, then cut with the smaller circle from Everyday Details Dies. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of blue 2023-25 Opaque Sparkle Dots were added to the center of the flower and the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Zig Zag Folds

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the month of August, we will be doing fun-folds! This week’s challenge is Zig Zag folds…as unique as possible! There are SO many different varieties it will be interesting to see what our Design Team does with this challenge!

SOPHISTICATED SLED

I picked the easy Zig Zag Gatefold card to make! This fold is a great way to use up your designer paper stash! Just changing up the designer paper will make it look totally different! Just make sure that you get your directional paper going the correct way!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 12 Season of Green & Gold 12 x 12 Designer Paper (Online Exclusive), scored at 2, 4, 8 and 10.
I marked at the 3-1/2 point on each shorter side, then cut from the 4 and 8 score lines to that mark on a diagonal. Then from the mark to the 2 and 10 scorelines across the bottom.
A 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the inside greeting in Real Red Ink and the wreath with Mossy Meadow Ink. It was colored with Light Soft Sea Foam, Light Old Olive and Light Crumb Cake with Light Real Red berries. The panel was added inside the base card.
A circle was cut from Soft Sea Foam with the Everyday Details Dies and added to the left side flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skates were cut from Basic White, laces from Real Red, blades from Metallic Gold, and the greenery from Mossy Meadow cardstocks and assembled.
Some Natural Tones Linen Thread was wrapped over the greenery and behind the skates, then the skates added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the greenery adhered flat.
The trio Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries was added to the greenery.
Good Tidings from Sophisticated Sled stamp set was stamped with Real Red on a 3/8 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CSF832 – More Than Autumn

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a pretty color challenge this week!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

This is such a FUN set in the upcoming Mini Catalog with LOTS of options for the holidays! Some of our favorite desserts for the holidays are Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Pie and Chocolate Pie! Two of the colors today reminded me of PIE!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
I added a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mediterranean Blooms Designer Paper.
Next are two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Lemon Lolly and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks added down the center.
I embossed the 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 square of Basic White cardstock with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the pie slice and the top of the whipped cream four times with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut the pie slice with the die and hand-cut just the top of the whipped cream for each slice. They were colored with Lemon Lolly and Pumpkin Pie with the Crust in Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. They were added to the square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped on Pumpkin Pie and Lemon Lolly cardstock with Memento Black Ink, then trimmed and added to the middle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a trio of yellow Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins to the background for a little bling.
