CSF841 – Sweetest Star

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch this week!

SWEETEST STAR

I know my choice of this punch was kind of obvious, but I have been wanting to use Mrs. Claus! She turned out cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Two stars were punched from the Reindeer Days DSP with the Sweetest Star Punch and added to each side on the front.
Mrs. Claus was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Combo, Light Smoky Slate, Ivory, Light Flirty Flamingo, and Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. The trim was colored with Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker. She was punched out with the Sweetest Star Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One of the holly leaves was hand-cut from the DSP and added to her apron with a Mini Glue Dot.
The greeting from Sweetest Star was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 1-1/2 piece of Real Red and the end cut as a banner.
Some Red & White Baker’s Twine was wrapped in a circle a few times then added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The greeting was added on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Red & White Peppermints were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for October is Happy Harvest! Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

WARMS MY HEART

I think these images in Warms My Heart are so cute! I chose the pumpkin one for my next Happy Harvest card for October!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was brushed with Lemon Lolly Ink using a Blending Brush.
A 1 x 4 strip of Iconic Celebrations leaf print was added towards the bottom.
Another 1/4 x 4 strip of green stripe Iconic Celebrations DSP was added across the top of the DSP.
The greeting from Warms My Heart was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink.
The pumpkin gal was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Boho Blue and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. She was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of green Faux Glass Dots were added to the background!

IM355 – Delicate Forest

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty fall scene!

DELICATE FOREST

Looking at this photo, I liked how the darker green tones around the edges set off the bright colors of the foreground trees and tried to duplicate that look! Delicate Forest had the greenery arch I needed!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Season of Green & Gold was cut with the Delicate Forest Die.
I pencil marked the open area of the die cut onto the front of the Basic Beige, then stamped my trees. The center one was inked with Crushed Curry and sponged with Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. The right tree was inked with Real Red and sponged with Pumpkin Pie, the left one was inked with Pumpkin Pie and sponged with Real Red. I like the variation of leaf colors! The trunks I colored with an Early Espresso Marker. The die cut was added over the stamped images on the front.
A 1 x 4 piece of Pecan Pie was torn across the top and then stamped with the ground image from Delicate Forest Stamps with Pecan Pie Ink. It was adhered flush with the bottom of the card.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the long label from Delicate Forest Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the trunk of the middle tree with a Mini Glue Dot.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Time

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This is our second week of Halloween card ideas! Since there are limited Halloween stamps this year, I decided to make some spooky trees with the Frosted Forest Dies!

PLAYFUL GHOSTS & FROSTED FOREST

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of pumpkin polka dot Halloween Spells 12×12 Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added on top.
Another 2-1/4 x 5 piece of stripe Halloween Spells DSP was cut into a banner and added over the DSP.
The Stylish Shapes Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock and Blending Brushes used with Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Inks to make the sky.
The trees from Frosted Forest Dies were cut from Basic Black and added to the circle.
The bat from Playful Ghosts was stamped on the circle with Memento Black Ink. The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Playful Ghosts was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Gorgeous Grape cardstock and cut with the circle in Stylish Shapes Dies, it was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Black Sparkle Dots were added in the background.

CSF840 – Artful Amaryllis

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. This week is a pretty color challenge! I know I’ve used this combo a lot this fall season.

ARTFUL AMARYLLIS

I just got this stamp set…I haven’t purchased the dies yet…may not. The flower was just so pretty that I had to have it and it would be easy to cut out if I needed. I guess I didn’t realize that amaryllis came in a lot of different colors…not just red! This card came together really quickly because of the two-step stamping!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. (Wow! I’m using a lot of this color…just had to order a couple more packages!)
A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of green Sweet Days of Autumn DSP was added to the front.
A 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Wild Wheat cardstock was added over the DSP towards the bottom.
Another 1-1/4 x 4 piece of coordinating Cajun Craze Sweet Days of Autumn DSP was added on top.
The amaryllis flower was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink. The flowers were stamped with Cajun Craze Ink and the leaves with Mossy Meadow Ink. It was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I had this Stylish Shapes label already cut from Basic Beige and laying on my desk, so I stamped the greeting with Memento Black Ink and then added it to the front of the card.
A trio of Wild Wheat Faux Glass Dots were added to the background and next to the flower stem.

CS163 – Autumn Expressions

AUTUMN EXPRESSIONS

I love the fall decor using teals and purples! I was inspired by a print I saw at the store to make this card in those colors with some Gray Granite!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The front of the base card was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was randomly stamped with the leaf from Autumn Expressions stamp set in Lost Lagoon Ink. It was added to the front towards the top.
The greeting from Autumn Expressions was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the center frame piece from the Autumn Expressions Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two leaves were cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut with the Dies.
Two leaves were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Blackberry Bliss using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
The tree ring was stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Gray Granite cardstock and colored with the Gray Granite Ink using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
Two leaf fronds were cut from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Dies.
Everything was assembled next to the greeting label and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Silver Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background and leaf.
Some Silver Trim (Clearance Rack) was tied in a bow and added to the top leaf.

IM354 – Winterly Tree Tops

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty bird print!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS

Although the print doesn’t look Christmasy, I wanted to use these colors and the bird to make a Christmas card! It really is stunning in person with the very non-traditional colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was inked in the background with Peach Pie and Fresh Freesia inks using a Blending Brush.
One bird from the duo in Winterly Tree Tops and the greenery were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock.
The bird was colored with Light Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and trimmed down to one bird.
The greenery was colored with Old Olive, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends and cut with the die. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Greetings of the Season greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia and cut with the Greetings of the Season Dies (LOVE all the labels!).
Linen Thread was added to the hole and tied in a bow.
Some purple Tinsel Gems were added to the background for a little bling.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Magic

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. We will be sharing a little Halloween Magic this week!

CAKE CELEBRATIONS

I thought it would be fun to create a Halloween card from a non-Halloween stamp set! Cake Celebrations is one of the new Online Exclusives that is available for demos to preorder this month (customers beginning Nov. 2!) Can you tell what I used for the little spider webs? It is an image in the stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of purple polka-dot Halloween Spells DSP was added on top.
The 1 x 4 black and white stripe from Halloween Spells DSP was colored with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and added to the bottom of the DSP.
The 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 Everyday Details Die was cut from Basic White cardstock and layered on a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Basic Black cardstock. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The two cake stand pieces were cut from Smoky Slate cardstock with the Cake Celebrations Dies and adhered together. The cakes were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the drips and frosting from Basic Black cardstock.
The Pumpkin Pie cakes were stamped with the larger Sparkle image in Cake Celebrations with Memento Black Ink and then the Basic Black Marker used to create the loops on the spider webs.
The finished cakes were added to the cake stand on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
One of the frosting bands was used for the signpost coming out of the top of the cake.
Boo from Playful Ghosts stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Pumpkin Pie cardstock and added to the sign.
The Cake Celebrations trio of flowers were stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink and the leaves with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock then cut with the Dies and added to the cake with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The “bat” in the corner is the holly die from Reindeer Fun Dies cut from Basic Black cardstock and tucked under the corner.
A trio of orange Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots were added to the center of the flowers.
