CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Elegant Edges

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. It’s a new month and we will be doing fun-folds this month! This week’s challenge is Elegant Borders! Use a pretty edge on our cards!

GREETINGS OF THE SEASON

I love the pretty Season of Green & Gold Designer Paper…especially the bells! But I didn’t get the bundle. I figured out that I could use just the DSP with a greeting from Greetings of the Season for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 3 and 7-1/4.
The 3″ side panel was cut with the Around the Bend leaf curve die.
A 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Season of Green & Gold 12×12 Designer Paper was added to the far-right side making sure that the print is going the correct direction when it is folded into the center.

A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the inside Seasons of the Season greeting in Mossy Meadow Ink and adhered inside the center panel.

For the front, a 2″ circle was punched from Soft Sea Foam using the 2″ Circle Punch and stamped with the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Mossy Meadow Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left side only.
Two pine boughs were cut with the Winterly Tree Tops Dies and added to the bottom of the circle.
The bells were hand-cut from the Season of Green & Gold DSP and added over the pine boughs with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background and circle.

This would be a SUPER easy card to make for the holidays! And it’s lots of fun because it has a special fold! CSF829 – Sketched Butterflies

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

SKETCHED BUTTERFLIES

I sure wish we had a set of large oval dies in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup! I miss them! I’ve kept the retired set for personal use…I just love that shape! But I figured the Nested Essentials Dies would work in this case!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Daffodil Delight was stamped across the top with the small butterflies in Daffodil Delight Ink randomly.
A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of Full of Life Designer Paper was cut on the diagonal and added to the bottom of the Daffodil Delight cardtsock.
A sliver of Basic Black cardstock was added cross the seam and trimmed to fit.
Some Basic White cardstock was cut with the second from largest Nested Essentials Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 3 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the end flag cut. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I had the butterflies finished on my desk. They were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock. Blending Brushes were used to add Berry Burst, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Inks to them, then cut with the Sketched Butterflies Dies. The Stampin’ Dimensionals were placed just under the body portion and added to the front of the card.
Some pink Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background and one large green to the large butterfly body and one small green to the smaller butterfly body.
Some black Essentials Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the large butterfly body with a Mini Glue Dot.

CS152 – Beside Me

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. It’s a last Monday of the month and our last July theme of “Summer”. Cards that represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!

BESIDE ME

I hadn’t used this set yet, although I did earn it during Sale-A-Bration this year! I love the greetings in it, but also this image of the family fishing! My husband (grandpa) just bought a new fishing pole for the grandkids to use. They have gone a couple times to the catch and release pond by our house! Our grandson, Brody, caught a nice size bass!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of checked Perennial Lavender 12×12 Designer Paper was added on top.
The 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 Basic White cardstock was colored with Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly Inks in the background using the Blending Brushes.
The birds were stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The man and kids were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Summer Splash, Pretty In Pink, Crumb Cake, Light Wild Wheat, Ivory & Bronze, and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and adhered to the blended panel. The panel was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The “sun” was cut with the Stylish Shapes Die from Basic White cardstock, stamped with the Beside Me greeting in Memento Black Ink and blended with Lemon Lolly Ink using a Blending Brush. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

IM343 – Simply Sparkling

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a variety of citrus fruits!

SIMPLY SPARKLING

I love the little fruit stamps that came with the Simply Sparkling Bundle (Online Exclusive), so I used the citrus wedge and made lemons, limes, grapefruit and orange slices!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink in the upper left and lower right corners using a Blending Brush.
The solid can was cut with the Simply Sparkling Die from Peach Pie In Color 6×6 Designer Paper and the top and bottom pieces from Smoky Slate cardstock. A piece of Basic Black was cut and adhered behind the opening. They were assembled and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bubbles cluster was cut from Peach Pie cardstock then divided into two pieces and one added at the top of the can and one at the bottom of the can with Monoadhesive Glue.
On scrap Basic White, the straw was stamped with Poppy Parade, and the fruit slice stamped four times with Memento Black Ink. The slices were colored with Pretty in Pink Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Lemon Lime Twist Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Simply Sparkling Dies. The straw was tucked into the can opening.
The leaf cluster die was cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
The Fizztastic greeting was stamped on Peach Pie cardstock with Memento Black ink and cut with the Stylish Shapes circle Die.
All diecuts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The soda-lightful greeting was stamped on 1/2 x 3 Basic White and brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink, then the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front around the slides.
Some pink, green and yellow Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins (Online Exclusive) were added to the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – “Pretty in Pink”

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we will be using the colors in movie titles to inspire our cards. This week our movie theme is “Pretty in Pink”. Cards with predominantly pink in them!

SPARKLING SNOWFLAKES

Of course I used the new In Color, Pretty in Pink, on today’s card! Also figured I’d do another Christmas in July card. I’m using Sparkling Snowflakes, a carryover from last year!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of pink In Color Glimmer Paper was added at an angle on the front.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped randomly with the medium size snowflake with Pretty in Pink Ink. It was adhered angled in the opposite direction over the Glimmer Paper.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pretty in Pink cardstock and cut with the label from Detailed Forest Dies.
A 2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was punched with the Sparkling Snowflakes Punch and added to a 2 x -2-1/2 piece of Smoky Slate cardstock cut into a banner at the bottom. The greeting label was adhered on top.
Some Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon was looped back and forth and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
The greeting piece was added over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some pink Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the snowflakes an background.

CSF828 – Market Goodness

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. This month is our annual “Case the Catalog”! We use samples from the catalog to inspire the cards we make! Always fun to see if our design team uses the colors, the layout, the stamp set…or whatever element inspires them.

MARKET GOODNESS

This is a fun set that I think is being overlooked in the new annual catalog as I haven’t seen a lot done with it! I love the punny greetings in it! This card came together really easily…I had a lot of the veggie pieces already stamped and cut! Gotta love that!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
To Market Designer Paper was cut to 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 and sponged along the edges with Blackberry Bliss Ink to make the layer have a shadow and stand out a little. It was stamped with the row of X’s in Pecan Pie Ink in the upper right and lower left corners. It was added to the base card.
A 3/4 x 5 strip of green plaid To Market Designer Paper was added across the front.
The Perennial Postage rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks a bunch was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on 1 x 2-1/4 Garden Green cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The lettuce was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink and detail with Garden Green Ink. The carrots were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink and the top with Garden Green Ink. The tomatoes were stamped with Garden Green Ink for the stems and Real Red for the tomatoes. The onion was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink and the top with Garden Green Ink. All were cut with the Market Goodness Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Blackberry Bliss Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.

CS151 – Sketched Butterflies

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. It’s a new month and July’s theme is “Summer”. Cards that have a represent the warmer temps and longer days…at least here in Ohio!

SKETCHED BUTTERFLIES

Lots of butterflies are flitting around the garden, so that definitely means summer is here! This card is SO easy to pull together, but it looks like it takes more time with all the coloring, doesn’t it? Nope! I used Blending Brushes to color the Basic Black images stamped on Basic White! Easy peasy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper was added on top.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Boho Blue cardstock was stamped with the butterfly cluster in Gray Granite Ink across the top, then was added down the center of the card.
The three butterflies from Sketched Butterflies Stamp Set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White. The large one colored with Petunia Pop and Pumpkin Pie Inks. The second one with Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lime Twist Inks. The smallest one with Daffodil Delight Ink. I used the Blending Brushes to add the ink.
The bodies were colored with Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends.
The butterflies were cut with the Sketched Butterflies Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Sketched Butterflies greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 3-1/2 piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock and added to the front.
A trio of yellow Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added in the background.

IM342 – Sketched Butterflies

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty butterfly art print!

SKETCHED BUTTERFLIES

I just got this bundle on my order and had to use it on today’s Inspirational Monday challenge! Worked great! I haven’t done a vintage card in a LONG time!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Expresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was torn along the top and bottom. It was embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
The edges were brushed with Pecan Pie Ink using a Blending Brush. Some Boho Blue was lightly added in the center. It was added to the front of the base card.
Two butterflies from Sketched Butterflies stamps set were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock, brushed with Pecan Pie and Boho Blue Inks, and cut with the Sketched Butterflies Dies. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Sketched Butterflies was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1 x 2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and the edges torn. It was brushed with Pecan Pie Ink around the edges.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped several times and added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional. The greeting was added over the Linen Thread.
A trio of Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added in the background.
