Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty ceramic platter for our inspiration piece!

 

STITCHED LEAVES DIES

I decided to follow the general colors and the shape of the leaves from the inspiration piece for my Stitched Leaves card. Almost NO stamping on here!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Gray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock embossed with the Painted Textures Embossing Folder.
    • A 2 x 5-1/4 piece Peaceful Place buffalo plaid DSP was added across the front.
    • I cut the label with the Hippo Dies (you NEED these dies!  So many FUN labels!) from Basic White cardstock and added it to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • One of the Stitched Leaves was cut from Pacific Point and the other from Granny Apple Green cardstocks.  They were added to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Sweet as a Peach was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and hand-cut it closely.  It was added to the stems with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A trio of dark green In Color Jewels were added in the background.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  Isn’t this a pretty, unusual necklace!  I love the colors of the leaves!

 

Love of Leaves

I know I’ve mentioned it before…but I love the Stitched Leaves Dies that is part of the Love of Leaves Bundle.  This inspiration necklace was a perfect excuse to pull it out again!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • On top is the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake Plaid Tidings Designer Paper.
    • FALL was cut with the Playful Alphabet Dies from the 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Soft Suede cardstock and adhered to the lower front.
    • Happy was cut with the Well Written Dies from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered on front.
    • The long narrow leaves were cut from Mint Macaron (2) and Soft Suede (1) cardstock with the Stitched Leaves Dies.
    • The small leaves were cut from Balmy Blue (2) cardstock with the Stitched Leaves Dies.
    • The larger leaves were cut from Seaside Spray (2) cardstock with the Stitched Leaves Dies.
    • All the edges were sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and they were stacked and adhered down the left side.
    • The flowers were punched with the Small Bloom Punch from Merry Merlot, Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla, sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and added to the leaves.
    • The centers are the Elegant Faceted Gems in two colors.
    • Some Linen Thread was folded in half and tied in a bow, then added under the flowers.

 

Don’t you love it? I think I captured the look of the Inspiration challenge, don’t you?  Honestly, I tore it apart a couple times because I didn’t like the layout of the leaves…but finally got it right!  OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Autumn Essentials

Happy Saturday! This week our Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Autumn Essentials”!  We are showing off our favorite things of fall!  One of my most favorite things about fall in the Midwest are the changing colors of leaves.  Yellows, reds, oranges and greens are SO pretty decorating the hills.  We normally will take a long Sunday drive just to see them!  This is a quick little box I made up to hold a fall Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer to give away as a gift for my tablemates at a recent scrapbooking retreat I attended.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The bottom is 5-1/4 x 5-15/16 of Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 2″ on each side, trim the ends and form the box bottom.
  • The sleeve around it is 2 x 11, scored at 5 and 6-1/4, then adhered outside around the bottom (and attached only at the bottom).
  • A 1-3/4 x 4-12 piece of Gilded Autumn Designer Paper is added to the front.
  • A 1/8 hole was punched at the top and some Linen Thread tied in a bow.
  • The Stitched Leaves Dies were cut from Mint Macaron and Cajun Craze, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The label from Tasteful Labels was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Autumn Goodness stamp set in Early Espresso Ink and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The acorn from Banner Year was stamped with Crumb Cake and colored with the Early Espresso Marker for the top.  It was hand-cut and added to the label with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple Champagne Rhinestones were added to decorate the leaves.
