CS121 – Snow Crystal

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Winter” cards!

SNOW CRYSTAL

This is a take-off of my Christmas cards this year! I made coordinating thank-you cards to send after Christmas. This one is super simple, but still elegant! And, as anyone who knows me…I don’t really mean the greeting on here…no snow after Christmas for me! lol! But it is a nice winter greeting for today’s theme!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The large Snow Crystal image was inked with Coastal Cabana Ink and stamped partially off the left side. The smaller Sparkling Snowflakes image were stamped with Pool Party Ink in the background.
Some speckle was stamped with White Craft Ink randomly around the background, too.
A 1 x 4 strip of Smoky Slate cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Sparkling Snowflakes in Memento Black Ink and added to the front.
A white Faceted Gem Trio Pack was added to the center of the large snowflake for a little bling.

SUPER simple and a nice thank you card! Would be easy to change out the greeting for a birthday, winter anniversary or even sympathy card! Check out Mary’s Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CS120 – Magical Meadow

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Winter” cards!

MAGICAL MEADOW

Here’s another winter card that is totally suitable for a birthday card! I love this Winter Meadow Designer Paper! These watercolor trees are especially pretty!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Orchid Oasis cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Winter Meadow DSP was adhered down the center.
A 2 x 4 piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock was punched with the Sparkling Snowflakes Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Magical Meadow greeting was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on Basis White and the tree line stamped off with Orchid Oasis Ink under it. It was punched with the Modern Oval Punch, some folded Silver & White Sheer Ribbon added behind it, then added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of 2022-24 In Color Pearls were added to the oval and the background.

IM51 – Winter Woods

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! This challenge will run for TWO WEEKS as we take time to spend with our family and friends this holiday season! Merry Christmas to everyone!

I love this glass fusion art piece we have for inspiration this week! I’d LOVE to have it hanging in my home!

WINTER WOODS

Here’s what I came up with using Winter Woods birch tree stamp and the Woodland Embossing folder!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White was stamped alternately with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Inks with the birch tree image from Winter Woods. It was then embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 4 piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper was cut along a curve and then added to the bottom of the piece.
Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine was wrapped around and tied in a bow, then the piece was added to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Let it Snow from Alpine Adventures was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink.

CCMC484 Seasonal Bells

Today we have a fun sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary! I finished my card up late and was so surprised that no one else had used snowflakes on their card! It was what I first thought about when I saw the sketch! So glad this turned out like it did in my head!

Here’s my card:

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is the gold check pattern in Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper cut to 4 x 5-1/4.
All four corners of the 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock were rounded with the Corner Rounder and placed on top.
A 1-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Gold Metallic Paper was cut with a flag end and added on top of the Whisper White.
A 1 x 5 strip of Gold Glimmer Paper was added.
Three snowflakes were cut from Whisper White with the Seasonal Layers Framelits and added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Gold Faceted Gems were added in the center of each snowflake.
The banner Happy Christmas was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White and hand-cut, then added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
