Maui Achievers Blog Hop – October 2019

At Stampin’ Up!, we’ve rolled over a new year and now the Maui Achievers are together for a monthly Blog Hop! I’m happy to say that I’ll be continuing, as I’m thankful to have earned the Maui Incentive Trip! I very much appreciate my customers and downline who helped me earn this trip!  This month’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING GOES! Isn’t that easy?

CUP OF CHRISTMAS

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Night Before Christmas Designer Paper.
  • A 3/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Pretty Peacock Foil was added across the front.
  • Two 1/2 x 4-1/4 strips of Real Red cardstock were added above the DSP and below the Foil.
  • One cup from Cups of Christmas was stamped with Pretty Peacock on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with Cup of Cheer Dies.
  • The greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the opposite handle Cup of Cheer Die.
  • The Candy Cane Dies were cut from Real Red and Whisper White cardstock and adhered together, then added to the cup.
  • A sprig of Pretty Peacock cardstock greenery was cut with the Dies and added behind the candy cane.  The bow was cut from Real Red and aded on top.
  • The poinsettia was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla and colored with the Light & Dark Real Red and Light Cherry Cobbler Blends, the center with Mango Melody Blends, then added to the polka dot cup with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The Vanilla cup was added to the DSP and the Pretty Peacock cup was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A few Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

Control Freaks November 2018

Hi! Welcome to the monthly Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! This month our theme is HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!  Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is THIS week!  I’m having a house full here for turkey and the trimmings!

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS – FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS

I’m in the middle of getting ready for my HUGE craft show coming up on December 1st.  The past few years I’ve almost sold out of everything on my table, so trying to make up even more things to sell this year!  When I saw the theme for this month, I already had this HOME Frame idea in my head to make up for the craft fair, so decided to get double use out of it and use it for the Control Freaks Blog Hop!

Here’s the frame (sorry for the glare):

Stampin’ Details:

  • The frame has a 5 x 7 opening, so Cherry Cobbler cardstock was cut to 5 x 7 and embossed with the Tin Type Embossing Folder.
  • On top is a 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 Layer of Early Espresso cardstock.
  • A 4 x 6 piece of Wood Textures Designer Paper was added on top.
  • The Alphabet letters H, M and E were cut from Galvanized Metal Paper with the Large Letters Framelits and added to the wood DSP with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Boxwood Wreath Embellishment was opened up a little and tied with a bow of Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine in the Cherry Cobbler color, then added for the “O” with Mini Glue Dots.
  • It was placed in the frame.

I love the rustic wood look with the “metal” letters and rich Cherry Cobbler color!

Next up is a card made with Farmhouse Christmas stamp set.  I used basically the same elements.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is 4 x 5-1/4 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, embossed with the Tin Type Embossing Folder.
  • A 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of the Wood Textures DSP was cut with a flag end and added on top.
  • The house from Farmhouse Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then colored with Cherry Cobbler, Bronze, and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Farmhouse Framelit Dies.
  • The roof was colored with Wink of Stella to shimmer like snow.  The house was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The fence was cut from Whisper White cardstock with the Farmhouse Framelit Die and then added across the front.
  • The bows were cut from Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper (the red) and adhered to the fence.
  • The greeting from Farmhouse Christmas was stamped with Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White, then cut with the Stitched Shapes Oval and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how these turned out!  And they were super simple to make, but would make a great gift for the holidays!  OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is Kelly Acheson! I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!


 

February Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

I’m happy this month to be able to play along with the Alaska Achievers Monthly Blog Hop! This blog hop is for those of us who have earned the Alaska Incentive trip in July! I’m SO excited to go back to Alaska…the last Alaska Incentive trip was the first one I earned! Our theme again this month is the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration products! I decided to use my A Good Day stamp set to create a couple cards…one to wish the rain away and one for Easter!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper (free SAB selection!)
  • The banner is cut from Soft Sky cardstock with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.
  • A 1/8″ strip of Myths & Magic 6×6 Glimmer Paper was added across the front for a little sparkle!
  • The Bring on the Sunshine image from A Good Day was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and punched with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch.  It was colored with Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • The circle is layered on a 1-3/8 Scallop Circle punched from Basic Black cardstock.
  • It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

 

Here’s hoping that greeting works!  The sun IS shining today!  lol!  OK…next up is a sweet little Easter card with a peek-a-boo bunny inside!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 3-3/8 x 4-5/8 piece of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Paper was adhered to a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Basic Gray cardstock.  A 1-3/4 Circle was punched close to the bottom.
  • A length of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon was added across the front and tied in a bow.  Then the layer was adhered to the base.
  • A 1-1/2 Circle was punched inside the DSP opening.

  • Inside a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was added to the base card.
  • The dotted circle from A Good Day was stamped (inside the circle from the front) with Calypso Coral Ink.
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Bubbles & Fizz DSP was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the layer.
  • The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, cut out by hand, then added to the inside of the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The bow is colored with Calypso Coral Marker and the bunny ears and cheeks with Pink Pirouette Marker.
  • Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink.

Isn’t that a fun stamp set? There are still a LOT of images I haven’t even used in it!

Alaska Achievers November 2017 Blog Hop

I’m so happy to be hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Incentive Trip Achievers! This blog hop is for those demonstrators who have earned this fabulous trip! Our theme this month is “Anything Goes”.  I’ve been SUPER busy working on craft fair items…I do a big one at a local high school every year.  I’m way behind on getting things ready, but will pull some late nights to get it done!  lol!  I’m showing off an ornament I did this year at my Christmas Quilt class…they loved it!  The Gold Metallic Paper and Red Glimmer Paper really makes it show off!  I can’t wait to hang it on my Christmas tree…hmmm, another thing that still needs done!  I used to make these years ago and love this updated version!

 

 

Here are the details:

  • Cut the Red Glimmer Paper and Thick Whisper White to 3×3 squares.
  • Cut the green check Quilted Christmas Designer Paper with the star Quilt Builder Framelit and center on Whisper White.
  • Cut the outline Quilt with the Quilt Builder Framelits from Gold Metallic Paper and center over the DSP star.  Adhere all together as shown with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • Cut the flower outline shape from Real Red cardstock and add the cut-out petals to the insides.  Glue to the center of the quilt image.
  • Add a Gold Faceted Gem in the center of the flower.
  • Punch a 1/8″ Circle at the top of the ornament thru the Red Glimmer Paper.  Feed the Quilted 1/4″ Ribbon thru the hole and tie a knot.
