CSF884 – Gathering Moments

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a neutral color challenge to try this week!

GATHERING MOMENTS

I’m using another new Online Exclusive this week called Gathering Moments (available for demo preorder now and customers beginning Sept 3)! It’s a whole Suite of products with a stamp/die bundle, Designer Paper, Embossing Folder, colored Linen Thread and embellishments! I’ve used a few of those items on today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock is stamped with the large leaf in Pecan Pie Ink and the leaf branch with Early Espresso Ink randomly all over.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Gathering Together DSP was added across the front.
The arch was cut from Basic Beige cardstock with the Everyday Arches Die and stamped along the bottom with the Gathering Moments sentiment in Early Espresso Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large leaf and two acorns were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and the leaf branch with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Gathering Moments Dies. They were added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the leaves with a Mini Glue Dot.
Three gold Low Profile Dots were added to the background.

Creatively Simple 12 – Thankful

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Thankful” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme! It’s SO appropriate for this time of year!

This Mini Catalog’s leaf set, Gorgeous Leaves, are truly that…beautiful detailed leaf dies and stamps! I’ve combined them on my card along with the Heartfelt Wishes greeting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Succulent cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped off several times with the cluster stamp in Soft Succulent Ink towards the bottom right side.
The maple leaf was stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee Inks on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Intricate Leaves Dies.
The large maple leaf was cut from So Saffron cardstock with the Dies, leaving in some of the pieces. The narrow leaf was cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock with the Dies. Both were added to the background with Tombow Multipurpose Glue, then the small leaves placed on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Soft Succulent cardstock, then hand-cut close to the letters. It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of In Color Jewels in the Soft Succulent color were added to the background.

CCMC625 – Autumn Goodness

Happy Thursday! Time again for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Another fun sketch for you to try!

I once again used my Autumn Goodness stamp set. I’m so happy that I ordered it, I’ve used it a lot more than I really expected! I guess I must be in a coloring mode right now! For this one, I featured the pumpkin cluster…I just love this image!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mint Macaron was embossed with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder for a subtle look.
A 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of striped Gilded Autumn Designer Paper was added towards the left side.
The pumpkin image from Autumn Goodness stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla and colored with Pumpkin Pie Combo, Granny Apple Green Combo, Mango Melody Combo and Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the largest Stitched Shape Circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was placed along the bottom.
The 1/2 x 2-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with Thankful from Autumn Goodness in Early Espresso Ink and added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Mint Macaron Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background for a little bling!

IM136 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful fall decorated frame.

One of the reasons I purchased the Banner Year stamp set was just for the Happy fall, y’all! greeting! I love it! So, I knew it was perfect for this inspiration challenge! My next challenge was finding the twiggy looking branches to decorate the frame. I think using In The Woods Dies worked great, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of wood grain print from In Good Taste DSP was layered on a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then adhered on top.
- The frame was created with using two sizes of the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut from Seaside Spray cardstock, then sponging around the edges to distress the look a little. It was added on an angle to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The “trees” from the In The Woods Dies were cut from Melon Mango and Early Espresso cardstock, the leaves from Soft Sea Foam, then sponged with Early Espresso Ink to age them. They were adhered to the edge of the frame.
- The Seaside Spray Scallop Linen Ribbon was tied in a knot and added to the branches with Mini Glue Dots.
- Happy Fall y’all! and two acorns were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 1/2 x 4 piece of Whisper White. The acorns were hand cut and the banner cut at an angle, then tucked under the branches with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The acorns were added under the ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

I love this card…I was REALLY excited how it turned out! I thought Mary and my cards would be too similar using the same inspiration piece, but they really turned out totally different! OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Love this Fall set in the Holiday Catalog! And extremely happy there are matching Framelits to go along with them! They definitely made this card easier to make!

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Soft Suede on top.
I used a 1 x 5″ piece of Color Me Autumn Designer Paper along the right side.
Next I cut one of the shapes in Apothecary Accents from Whisper White, stamped Hello Fall from For All Things on it with Soft Suede Ink, then cut off the bottom tab portion of it and placed it on the front with Stampin’ Dimentionals.
I stamped the leaves in Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow, then cut them with the Fun Fall Framelits. I arranged them in a “cascade swag” on the front.
I tied a double bow of Linen Thread and added it to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.

I was super excited with how it turned out! Hope you like it, too!

SUOC82 Harvest of Thanks

Over on Stampin' Up! Only Challenges, our theme this time is Harvest. Very timely for me as the tractors have been busy harvesting corn in the fields close by! Hopefully you get where I was going with the entire Harvest of Thanks theme…a turkey representing Thanksgiving and giving thanks!

Here are the details:

The 4 1/4 x 11 base of Chocolate Chip is folded in half to form the card.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Sweater Weather Designer Paper in the Crushed Curry plaid pattern.
I cut Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the Apothecary Accent Framelit
Then I used the Circles Framelits to cut the Chocolate Chip print from the same DSP, the Champagne Glimmer Paper and the Chocolate Chip cardstock circle. On top I added the turkey stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and punched with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.
At the top, I added a Naturals button tied with Linen Thread in a bow.
At the bottom, I cut a portion of the Thanks image (stamped in Chocolate Chip) and placed at the bottom, then added Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots on each end.

Magnificent Maple

How about a new picture of my sweet grandson, Carter! In this one I was holding him and he's looking at grandpa! He is 13 weeks old now. You can't see it, but he has one of the Ohio State onesies we got him on! Go Bucks!

Without seeing each other's cards a couple weeks ago, Mary and I had VERY similar cards done for our Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. I decided to change mine out to something different at the last minute, but then realized I haven't shared my original card with you. It was for a sketch challenge and we both used leaves! And…since now I've made you curious, you can see both of our cards over on Create with Connie and Mary here.

So here are the details on mine:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Soft Sky cardstock, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Chocolate Chip cardstock on top.
Over that is a 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 square of the plaid pattern from Sweater Weather Designer Paper.
I added two banner strips of DSP, one 1" wide and one 3/4" wide placed at the top edge of the DSP and cut flag ends.
I stamped Magnificent Maple image with Crushed Curry and Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and cut them out. I added them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals, then tied a double bow of Linen Thread and placed on the stems with a Mini Glue Dot.
Finally, I tucked in the Get Well greeting from Express Yourself Hostess set, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Crumb Cake and cut a flag end.

I LOVE these colors for fall…that Soft Sky color just sets them off SO beautifully!
