Saturday Blog Hop – All About Fall

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop theme is “All About Fall”.  The leaves are really turning pretty around Ohio.  I used a new set, Seasons of Fun, which is a Host only set.  Who remembers a set from many years ago that was very similar?  I just recently sold it…but now this one came out.  It is so cute!  This reminds me of my grandkids running thru the leaves!

SEASONS OF FUN

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of In Good Taste Designer Paper…love the denim look!  A large circle was cut out of the top with the Layering Circles Dies.
  • The little boy image from Seasons of Fun was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Succulent, Smoky Slate, Ivory, Bronze, Flirty Flamingo, and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  It was adhered behind the open circle.
  • The greeting Happy Fall Y’All from Banner Year was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label in the Potted Succulents Dies.  It was layered on another label cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three little leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and hand-cut, then added to the labels.

IM135 – Life is Beautiful

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful fall decorated cake.

I’ve been binge watching The Next Great Baker when I’m eating lunch, and this cake looks like one that they would make!  I had to use Life is Beautiful set…the tree was perfect for this challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
    • The 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the tree trunk in Early Espresso, then the leaves in the tree with Bumblebee Ink, Real Red Ink, Pumpkin Pie Ink and Old Olive Ink.  Some leaves were also added to the ground.
    • Thinking of You was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
    • The panel was added to a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then to the front of the card.
    • The fence from Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock, then added to the front with Foam Strips.
    • Some gold/orange sequins from Sequins for Everything package were sprinkled in the tree leaves ad one next to the greeting for some extra bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New In Color

Happy Saturday!  This week our Design Team is showing off their FAVORITE new In Color!  I’ve known about this challenge “forever”, but still I procrastinated making my card!  I truly couldn’t decide which color was my favorite!  So…I broke the tie by figuring that Cinnamon Cider had been used the most because I had to reorder a new package of cardstock!  lol!  Of course, part of that was because I used it on a swap or two that I joined!

I’ve combined the new Cinnamon Cider color with a brand new bundle, Love of Leaves, that will be in the August-December catalog (no longer called Holiday).  Beginning next week, customers will be able to order from the catalog, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The 3 x 4-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake was embossed/cut with the new Stitched Leaves Die at the top…ca you see the textured lines?  VERY cool!
  • Along the bottom is a 3/4 x 3 piece of Flowers for All Seasons DSP.
  • The large leaf was cut with the Stitched Leaves Die and the outline Die (at the same time!) from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The two smaller leaves were also cut with the Stitched Leaves Dies and outline Dies from Brushed Copper Paper (NEW in the Aug-Dec catalog!)
  • The greeting from Love of Leaves was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Tasteful Labels Die, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (LOVE that those dies are SO versatile!).  The Brushed Copper leaves were tuck under the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Copper Metallic Ribbon (new Aug-Dec catalog) was tied in a bow around the stem.
  • A trio of Cinnamon Cider In Color Enamel Dots were added in the background.

IM88 – Gather Together

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! I love this tin type art piece…not sure if it is a wall hanging or what, but great colors!

I just had to use the Gather Together Bundle again, along with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder!  It was a perfect match in my mind!  And, because the Squares Stitched Shapes Dies I used were symmetrical, I went with a square card shape and used the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and Copper Foil Sheet.

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/2 x 9 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/2 and folded to form the square card.
    • The Noble Peacock and Copper Foils were all cut with the Stitched Shapes Square Die and then embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I made sure to line the tiles up in the exact same place on the folder so they were identical.
    • I used a sanding block to distress the raised foil areas.
    • They were all spaced out evenly on the front of the Crumb Cake base.
    • The leaves were cut from Bermuda Bay and Cajun Craze cardstock with the Gathered Leaves Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Gather Together was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock with Memento Black Ink and punched with the Timeless Label Punch.  It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added on the tag.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This is a beautiful abstract photo of leaves?  Flower?  I went with leaves because that is what I first saw.

I love all the blues coming back into decorating…blue pumpkins are hot this year!  My leaves are shades of blue, brown and pink!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, the speckle stamp from Gather Together was stamped randomly with Petal Pink Pink.
    • The Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon was wrapped around and tied in a knot.
    • The large leaf from Gather Together was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Gathered Leaves Die and adhered over the ribbon.
    • I also cut the embossed leaves with the Gathered Leaves Dies from Petal Pink, Soft Suede and Night of Navy, then sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake Ink.  They were tucked under the larger leaf.
    • Season of Thanks from Gather Together was stamped with Night of Navy Ink.

IM36 – Rooted in Nature

Today’s inspiration photo really is getting me in the mood for fall…too bad the weather is still in the 90s here!!!  Major heat wave!  I love this glass plate for today’s inspiration and in my mind I saw two distinct “branches” of fall leaves, so I tried to recreate it with the leaves from Rooted in Nature.

 

Here’s what I came up with…I think I captured the overall look, don’t you?  First time I’ve used the new Corrugated Embossing Folder, too!  LOVE!!!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed the new Corrugated Embossing Folder, then sponged with Crumb Cake Ink.
  • The new Braided Linen Trim was wrapped around and adhered in the back, then the Whisper White added to the card front.
  • The leaf from Rooted in Nature was stamped with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow and Poppy Parade on coordinating cardstock, then cut with the Nature’s Root Framelits.  They were lightly sponged with Crumb Cake Ink and added in two “branches” of leaves on the front.
  • The greeting Give Thanks from Labels to Love was inked with Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso Markers, then stamped on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1-3/8 Circle Punch.  It was added to the Pretty Label Punched from Crumb Cake and lightly sponged with Crumb Cake Ink.  It was added over the Braided Linen Trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
