CCMC611 Ornate Garden Daisy

Another Thursday has rolled around! We have a pretty color combination for you over on Create with Connie and Mary today!

The colors are perfect for the Ornate Garden Designer Paper, so that is what I used! A pretty simple card…the greeting is the only thing stamped!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Ornate Garden DSP was cut at an angle and then added to the base card.
A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Terracotta Tile was added diagonally to hide the seam, then trimmed at the sides.
You are amazing from Band Together Stamp Set was stamped diagonally with Memento Black Ink.
Terracotta Tile cardstock was cut with the long skinny rectangle from Ornate Layers Dies and added to the front.
The Daisy and Medium Daisy were punched from Whisper White cardstock, adhered together, then added over the rectangle.
A 1/2″ Circle was punched from Crushed Curry cardstock, then added to the center of the daisy.
A couple gold Gilded Gems add some bling at the bottom of the rectangle.

Saturday Blog Hop – Bring May Flowers

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Last week our theme was April Showers…this week we continue with “Bring May Flowers”…any floral set! Which floral set with the Design Team choose? There are quite a variety!

ORNATE STYLE

I had to use Ornate Style Stamp Set for my card, although I did use completely different colors than what is in the Garden Suite AND I only used a partial piece of the large flower bundle. I love these soft spring colors.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was added on top.
A 1-3/4 x 3 piece of pink polka dot Best Dressed Designer Paper was added to the front left side, with a 2 x 3-1/4 floral Best Dressed DSP added over top of it. Then a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Old Olive polka dot Best Dressed DSP over it! Three layers of DSP!
The Highland Heather cardstock was cut with the Scallop Layering Circle die.
The floral bundle from Ornate Style stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut a portion with the Layering Circle Die. It was colored with Light & Dark Highland Heather, Light & Dark Old Olive, Light Petal Pink and Light & Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. TIP: Cut the circle before you color to save a little time and effort!
Pop up the circles on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp You’re Amazing from Ornate Thanks stamp set with Gorgeous Grape Ink on the Whisper White layer.
Add a purple Glitter Enamel Dot to the background above the greeting.

Now…if you are REALLY observant, you will notice this is the same layout and colors that I used on my Easter card a few weeks ago! lol! Hard to believe it will be May in a few days!!! Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip! April’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

ORNATE GARDEN SUITE

The Ornate Garden Suite is a sneak peek offering from the NEW upcoming Annual Catalog! Yes, customers can order the suite NOW and not have to wait until June for some new catalog products! Isn’t that exciting? It is a beautiful suite, too! But, I actually just used a couple things from it…the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and the Ornate Garden Designer Paper! I’ve been challenged to create cards for my Club Kits that don’t have much stamping…my customers can switch out whatever greeting they have on hand. So this is one for that purpose…a few punches, some designer paper and pretty embellishments make the card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Ornate Garden Designer Paper is added towards the right side.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of coordinating Ornate Garden Designer Paper goes across the front.
Mango Melody cardstock was punched twice with the Medium Daisy Punch and the centers colored with Mango Melody Ink with a sponge dauber. They were adhered together with Monoadhesive Glue, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Old Olive cardstock was punched with the Leaf Punch and curled on the edges, then tucked under the daisy with Monoadhesive Glue.
Celebrate Every Moment greeting from Honey Bee stamp set (LOVE this set for the greetings alone!!!) was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A couple Champagne Rhinestones were added to the tag.
The yellow Perennial Essence Flower Center was colored with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends Marker to change it to a brown color! Love how that turned out!

Isn’t that fun? I haven’t used my Medium Daisy punch all that much, so it was fun to pull out and use! CCMC607 Ornate Thanks

Happy Thursday! Time for a cheerful color combination over on Create with Connie and Mary today! I knew right away that I wanted to do flowers and the awesome frame in the Ornate Layers Dies. But…it is SO funny…you have to see Mary’s card today! Talk about being on the same wavelength!

Here’s my card using the greeting in Ornate Thanks…that is the only stamping! The rest are the flowers and frame from Ornate Layers Dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer o Whisper White is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
The frame was cut from Garden Green cardstock with the Ornate Layers Die.
A 1 x 2-3/8 piece of Whisper White was stamped with Thanks from Ornate Thanks stamp set and added to the front.
The flowers were cut from Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry cardstock with the Ornate Layers Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Gilded Gems were added to three of the flowers.
A bow was tied from the Garden Green Twine in Country Club Twine Pack, and added to the front with Mini Glue Dot.

Ornate Style Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! has given demos advance purchasing of a new Annual Catalog suite of products called the Ornate Garden Suite! It has two stamp set/die bundles, some gorgeous Designer Paper with gold accents, an embossing folder, ribbon and Gilded Gems! It is FABULOUS! Customers can begin ordering on April 1st (no joke!)

I used a technique called Watercolor Wash for today’s card using the floral image from Ornate Style. So soft and pretty!

ORNATE STYLE

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 5-1/2 strip of Ornate Garden DSP was added down the right side.
On top, the 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The eyelet rectangle from Ornate Layers Dies was cut from Whisper White, cut in half, then trimmed and added under the Crumb Cake layer on the right side.
The floral image from Ornate Style stamp set was inked with White Craft Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, then embossed with White Embossing Powder.
An AquaPainter and diluted White Craft Ink was used to color the image.
After dry, it was colored with Dark Highland Heather, Light Mango Melody, Light Poppy Parade, Dark Seaside Spray, Bronze, Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and hand-cut. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Label Me Fancy punch, then added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Gilded Gems (part of the Ornate Garden Suite) were added to the front.
