IM397 – More Than Autumn

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a batch of donuts!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

It has been a minute since I’ve used this bundle…but thought it would be fun to pull it out for this card! Easiest donuts I’ve ever made!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cute as Can Bee Designer Paper was added on top.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Four donuts were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Summer Splash, Lemon Lolly, Petunia Pop, Highland Heather and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the More Than Autumn Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/8 x 2 strip of Lemon Lolly was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and the ends cut at an angle. It was layered on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Petunia Pop cardstock, then added to the front of the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Doughnuts (why the different spelling???) was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Lemon Lolly cardstock and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Starburst Sequins were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Blue Ain’t Your Color

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them! This week’s theme is “Blue Ain’t Your Color” by Keith Urban. We are to use any color blue on our cards!

CHARMING DAY

I guess I’m on a roll using the Charming Day stamp set for my Saturday Blog Hops! This one I combined with the gorgeous Peaceful Garden Designer Paper…it is definitely not all Christmas! It is in the upcoming Sept-Dec Mini Catalog.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Secret Sea was added on top.
The floral Peaceful Garden DSP was cut to 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front.
The coordinating star Peaceful Garden DSP was cut to 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 and added towards the bottom.
Happy Birthday from Charming Day was stamped with Secret Sea Ink on 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front above the DSP.
The flower from Charming Day was cut with the Die from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
A blue 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearl was added to the flower top.

I love the Secret Sea and Cloud Cover combination, and it worked perfectly for today’s “blue” challenge! CSF881 – Encircled with Love

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We’re back with our regular sketches and color challenges this month! This week is a fun sketch!

ENCIRCLED WITH LOVE

I was looking at a bunch of different DSPs that would have a front and back pattern that would work for this sketch! I came across the Nests of Winter Designer Paper and thought I could make it work! I also haven’t had an opportunity to use my new Encircled with Love stamp set, so pulled out one of the greetings for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded. The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock was added on top.
I cut the Nests of Winter DSP to 4 x 6, then trimmed it to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, cutting off more at the bottom so the birds were balanced on the front where I needed them.
The corner was folded down so the reverse side shows through to the front and adhered in place.
The Encircled with Love greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Calypso Coral cardstock and punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two acorns from the Nests of Winter DSP were hand-cut and added next to the greeting.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added above the acorns with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Low Profile Dots were added to the background.

This Designer Paper is so gorgeous…I’m glad they kept in in the lineup from last winter even though they retired the stamping bundle! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”!

CHOOSE HAPPY

Looking through my current stamp sets, I discovered I don’t have a lot of animal stamps! Funny…I must go in cycles, because I know I used to have a bunch! I found these cute little penguins in the Choose Happy stamp set. It’s my son’s wedding anniversary in a couple weeks and his wife loves penguins…so it made the perfect inspiration!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added to the front.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Marbled Elegance Designer Paper was added to the left side.
The oval from Impressions Abloom Dies was cut from Cloud Cover cardstock and stamped with the Falling Snow background stamp in Cloud Cover Ink.
Half of the oval was also cut from Basic White cardstock and torn across the top. It was stamped with Happy Anniversary from Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Black Ink. It was added to the bottom of the Cloud Cover oval, then to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two penguins were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, the feet and beak colored with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and the cheeks with Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the snow bank.
The Choose Happy heart was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Poppy Parade cardstock and hand-cut, then added above the penguins with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
A trio of white Starburst Sequins were added to the background.

Yeah…you normally don’t think of penguins in August in Ohio, right? But had to meet the theme! lol! Check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty botanical print!

TEXTURED NOTES

I like the background that this created using different soft colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bubble Bath cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the basketweave circle in Soft Sea Foam Ink at the top, Bubble Bath Ink to the right, and Balmy Blue Ink to the left.
The branch was stamped with Early Espresso Ink over top of the three circles and then the panel added to the front.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Bubble Bath cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Brushed Brass Butterflies were adhered to the upper right corner.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:

SCHOOL DAYS

I bought this set because I thought it would be fun to make up some goodie bags for my grandkids to celebrate going back to school next month! They couldn’t wait to show me their new bookbags when I was visiting with them the other day.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of yellow gingham Floral Delight DSP was added on top.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Cloud Cover was added to the center.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the stars across the top in Cloud Cover Ink. The bottom was brushed with Cloud Cover Ink using a Blending Brush.
The bookbags were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Sea Secret, Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling Inks and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The books were stamped with Cloud Cover Ink on Basic White and hand-cut, then placed under the center bookbag.
Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a large loop bow and added next to the books.
The greeting was stamped with Sea Secret Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 strip of Cloud Cover cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Sea Secret 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

CS204 – Artistic Leaves

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Party Time”! This is our last one…next week we have a new theme!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I love the artistic look of blue leaves…here I’ve stamped on variegated designer paper to get the look I wanted!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder (sadly, now discontinued!) and added to the front.
The two large leaves were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The smaller leaf was stamped three times with Basic Beige Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a large loop bow and added to the leaf with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut with the Textured Notes Die, the end was cut at an angle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM395 – Perfectly Pears

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a bunch of pears!

PERFECTLY PEARS

I was trying to mimic a white pear and thought this Lemon Lolly pear was pretty close in color!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was added down the center.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Painterly Pears DSP was added to the center.
Another 1 x 5 piece of Secret Sea cardstock was added over the DSP towards the left side.
The pear outline was stamped with Old Olive Ink on Lemon Lolly cardstock. The solid pear was brushed with Old Olive Ink using a Blending Brush only on the one side.
Some Flirty Flamingo speckles were added to the same side. It was cut with the die and added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaf and stem were stamped with Old Olive Ink on Old Olive cardstock and filled with stamped off Old Olive Ink. It was cut with the die and added on top of the pear with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Old Olive/Gold Ribbon was placed under the pear using Mini Glue Dots.
Thank you was stamped with Old Olive in on Basic White cardstock and cut with the label die, then added to the front.
The flower cluster was cut with the die from Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut apart into single blossoms. They were adhered to the background.
Three small yellow Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the flower centers.
