Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas trees or branches

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Christmas Trees or Branches”!

PINE TREE TRIMMINGS

You may sort of remember this card! Well, it is different because I updated it using the new Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set! I have “remade” this card several different times over the years…the original from 2012 is one of my most saved Pinterest pins! I think it is the different colors I used that catches people’s eye!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock is stamped with the Pine Tree Trimmings greeting in Poppy Parade Ink and the small snowflakes from Snowy Delights stamp set in White Craft Ink across the top half.
The snowbanks were torn 4″ wide strips of Basic White cardstock adhered across the bottom.
Two trees were stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Pine Tree Trimmings Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The garland and stars were cut from Poppy Parade cardstock using the Dies, then trimmed and adhered to the trees.
A red Faceted Snowflake was added to the center of each star for a little bling.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

SHEPHERD’S CARE

This is such a pretty stamp set to make quick cards! I love the soft sketchy look to the stamps.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock was added on top.
The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Peaceful Garden DSP was added on top.
The circle was cut with the largest Stylish Shapes Die and stamped with the shepherd in Night of Navy Ink. It was colored with Cloud Cover, Crumb Cake and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.
The bottom of the circle was trimmed off.
The Peace on Earth greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on 3/4 x 4 Cloud Cover cardstock and added to the front, the ends were trimmed slightly.
A 1 x 2 banner was cut from the Peaceful Garden DSP and 1 x 1-1/2 from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper. Both were tucked under the greeting.
The star from the A Little Cheer Punch Pack was punched from the Peaceful Gardens Glimmer Paper and added at the top with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Cloud Cover In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

CS219 – Jolly Holly

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! Time is certainly flying by, and we will be full-on Christmas mode soon!

JOLLY HOLLY

Not sure why Stampin’ Up! kept this cute Sweetest Star punch and not the corresponding stamp set, but I thought it worked perfectly for a greeting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is -1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Jolly Holly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of Traditions of Christmas DSP was added towards the bottom.
The Sweetest Star was punched from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and stamped with the Jolly Holly greeting in Shaded Spruce Ink.
The star was spatterd with White Craft Ink using a speckle stamp (Coneflower Celebrations) and then added over the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two holly leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Jolly Holly Dies and added next to the star with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the background next to the star.

IM410 – Ornamental Christmas

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty Christmas Tree decorated in black, gold and white!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

I’m sure it will come to no surprise to anyone that knows me, that I’m one of those “people” who have a completely coordinated tree. My colors are gold, teal and red ornaments with white lights! I do have a more random second tree that is white with multicolored lights and my snowman ornaments I’ve been collecting for the 46 years we’ve been married! The grandkids love to help me decorate that one!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Jolly Holly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
Two round ornaments were cut from the Modern Christmas Designer Paper and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping each other.
The ornament tops and gold stars were cut from Gold Metallic Paper and added to the top of the ornaments and the background with Monoadhesive Glue.
Some Gold & White Baker’s Twine was tied in bows and added to the tops of the ornaments.
The Tis the Season greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the bottom ornament with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wasn’t sure about Stampin’ Up’s black and gold theme for Christmas at first, but I do like it now! OK, check out Debbie’s Inspiration Monday card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Holiday Baking”!

HANDMADE TREATS

I knew I was going to use this cute baking set when I set the theme for this blog hop! I’m sure it is a bundle that will go in my “keep” stash. It will be great for making tags for holiday treats I give my neighbors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
The 3 x 4 piece of Regals Distressed Patterns DSP was added to the front.
A 3/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Gold Foil Paper was added across the front.
The greeting was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink and punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. Some Real Red sprinkles were added at the top and bottom. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The oven mitt was stamped with Coastal Cabana Ink, the rolling pin and gingerbread man with Crumb Cake Ink, the Santa hat and candy cane with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the dies.
The gingerbread and candy cane were added to the top of the mitt and then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The rolling pin was adhered below the circle and the hat on the greeting.
A trio of Low-Profile Dots were added to the background.

CSF894 – Delicate Pines

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a color challenge this week!

DELICATE PINES

I guess I wouldn’t have thought of a snowflake stamp set when seeing these colors, but I love how this came out! The blues being “normal” colors and a pop of the unusual with the Pecan Pie!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Delicate Pines pinecone in Pecan Pie Ink and the small snowflake in Cloud Cover Ink randomly along the sides. It was added to the front.
A 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Pecan Pie cardstock was added down the front.
The 3-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Peaceful Garden Designer Paper was added on top of the Pecan Pie.
The large snowflake from Delicate Pines stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink, the medium snowflake with Cloud Cover ink and cut with the Delicate Pines Dies. They were added together and to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The small center snowflake was cut from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper and added to the snowflakes with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
Two leaf branches from Delicate Pines were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and added under the snowflakes.
The greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on 1/2 x 4 strip of Pecan Pie cardstock and added to the front across the top.
A small Streaked Dot was added to the center of the small snowflake.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! I love all the lights and hustle and bustle Christmas time of year!

JOLLY HOLLY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock is stamped randomly with JOY in Pecan Pie Ink.
A frame was cut with the Jolly Holly two rectangle Dies from Gold Foil Paper and adhered to the front so that one of the JOY greetings is featured.
The bells were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Darling Duckling and Real Red Blends, then cut with the Dies.
The leaf branches were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock. The holly was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pretty Peacock cardstock. The poinsettias were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red cardstock. All were cut with the Jolly Holly Dies and assembled on the bottom right corner of the frame.
Merry Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/8 x 2-1/2 Real Red cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then added to the front.
Some Iridescent Foil Gems were added to the center of the flowers.

IM409 – Tractor & Co

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a snowy farm landscape!

TRACTOR & CO

My dad was a farmer when I was young, and I remember an old red tractor he drove just like this! Of course, he had the fancier tractors, too, but this was an old reliable one! I’m pretty sure I have pictures of our kids sitting on it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Pool Party was stamped and stamped off across the top using the Ornamental Christmas tree using Shaded Spruce Ink! I LOVE this tree and I’m sure you’ll be seeing me use it a LOT!
A 2 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and adhered to the bottom, the torn piece added on top of the other piece for a snowbank look.
Two trees from Tractor & Co were cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock using the die and added to the front left side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The tractor was stamped with Real Red Ink, the wheels and seat with Memento Black Ink and cut with the Dies. They were adhered on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The hubcaps were cut from Smoky Slate cardstock and added to the wheels.
The greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink on 1/2 x 1-1/2 piece of Basic White and the end cut at an angle. It was added by the trees with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Some silver Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added to the hubcaps and to the trees for a little bling!

So fun! There are so many details in the inspiration piece…I wanted to use the deer and the geese…but thought I had used enough product already on this card! OK, check out Debbie’s Inspiration Monday card over on Create with Stamping Friends!
