IM393 – Framed Scenes

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a scenic landscape.

FRAMED SCENES

It’s my first time using this Framed Scenes Bundle! I especially like this “frame” that surrounds the image when you use the die!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Two pieces of Timeless Plaid DSP were cut 1-1/4 x 4 and 3 x 4 and adhered to the front right side, leaving a small gap between them.
The Framed Scene image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Shaded Spruce, Pool Party and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
The image was cut with the frame die and the frame was colored with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends (this saved me from having to cut another piece to go around the image!) The image was adhered flat to the front and the frame was popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Birthday from Simply Said was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut with the Framed Scenes smaller oval die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Holographic Resin Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Red & Green

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Red & Green…Christmas in July”. I always have fun using a leaf image to make a flower! The leaf in the new Artistic Leaves stamp set worked perfectly for my poinsettia for Christmas!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3 x 5 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper (just sold out) was added to the front.
The greeting was stamped on Basic White cut with the Party Banner Die. Joy from Jolly Holly Stamp Set was stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Five of the single leaf in Artistic Leaves were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, the filled in with the Shaded Spruce Light Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut.
The single leaf was stamped five times around in a circle with Real Red Ink, then colored with Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut.
Another five leaves were stamped individually with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added over the circle of red leaves.
The leaf circle was added first to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the single red leaves on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The green leaves were tucked under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of large Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the poinsettia.

CSF877 – Charming Day

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:

CHARMING DAY

The flowers in Charming Day are SO pretty and I immediately thought of that stamp set when I saw this layout! And the coordinating designer paper is GORGEOUS!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Floral Charm DSP was added on top.
The reverse Night of Navy floral side was cut to four pieces 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 and added to the center.
The small Charming Day flower was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Petunia Pop, Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the 2″ Circle Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Charming Day greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink on 1/2 x 2 strip of Basic White cardstock and brushed with Petunia Pop Ink using a Blending Brush. The ends were cut at an angle and added to the front.
A trio of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots were added to the background.

CS201 – Simply Said

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Party Time”! Do you have any parties to attend this summer?

SIMPLY SAID

This card is an idea for when you have to run out the door in 5 minutes but forgot to make a card! The Celebratory Sips Designer Paper does all the work! I love these fun prints of drinks and bottles!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Strawberry Slush cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Celebratory Sips DSP was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and added to the front.
Another strip of 1 x 4 polka dot Celebratory Sips DSP was added across the front.
The greeting from Simply Said Stamp Set was stamped with Strawberry Slush Ink on Basic White cardstock and then cut with the oval from Framed Scenes Dies.
14″ of Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon was looped back and forth and added to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold in place.
The oval greeting was added over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added next to the greeting to finish it off with a little bling!

IM392 – Poppin’ By

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a box of popcorn!

POPPIN’ BY

I tried my hand at making a container of popcorn on My card! So fun to die-cut all those popcorn pieces!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of blue Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper was added on top.
The “pop” greeting from Poppin’ By is stamped three times on the DSP with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
A 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Painted Stripes background stamp in Real Red Ink and the sides trimmed at an angle. It was added to the bottom of the DSP.
Ten popcorn pieces were cut with the dies from Lemon Lolly cardstock and brushed with Daffodil Delight Ink using a Blending Brush. Nine were adhered to the top of the container with Stampin’ Dimensionals. One was stamped with the word Enjoy in Memento Black Ink and placed at the bottom.
Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the container with a Mini Glue Dot.
Three Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the popcorn for a little bling!

This card just makes me smile! What a fun card to give with a Movie Theatre gift card tucked inside! OK, check out Debbie’s Inspiration Monday card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Saturday Blog Hop – Black & White

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Black & White”. I pulled out the Botanical Textures Designer Paper that has ALL black and white prints!

I still had Charming Day sitting out on my desk and thought the dies would make a great contrast with the DSP!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 panel of Botanical Textures DSP was added on top.
The 2-3/4 x 4-3/4 panel of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder and added at an angle on the front of the card.
The Charming Day Dies were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Charming Day was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 3 strip of Basic White cardstock. The end was cut at an angle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Neutral Matte Dots were added to the background.

CSF876 – Twisted in Time

TWISTED IN TIME

I’m SO sad that this Twisted in Time bundle is on the Last Chance List…it really is a fun set to work with! Grab it now before it is gone (but make sure to purchase the stamps and dies separately…you’ll save more than the bundled price!)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 4 strip of green striped Floral Impressions DSP was cut with a flag end and added at the top left.
A 3 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock is stamped by inking the Size B block with Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow Inks, spritzing them with water before stamping them staggered on the paper.
The Twisted in Time tree is stamped with Early Espresso Ink in the lower right corner. The panel was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread is tied with a large loop bow and added to the upper left corner with a Mini Glue Dot.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end flag cut. It was added over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added in the background around the greeting.

I used the layout of the challenge card but changed out the colors and the images! I love how it turned out! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

CS200 – Turtle-y Cute

It’s a new month and a new Creatively Simple challenge! Our theme this month is “Party Time”! All sorts of reasons to throw a party…birthday, graduation, anniversary, holiday!

TURTLE-Y CUTE

Although I haven’t purchased the Turtle-y Awesome Stamp Bundle, I do LOVE the Turtle-y Cute Designer Paper! So many cute images to cut out for almost ANY occasion! I went with a birthday cake and birthday hat for my turtle’s celebration!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
The 1-1/4 x 4-1/2 strip of striped Turtle-y Cute DSP was adhered towards the bottom with a 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of green swirls adhered on top.
Celebrate from Blooming Phrases was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink above the DSP.
The turtle was hand-cut from the DSP, along with the cake and party hat. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Shades of Green Hexagons were added to the background.
