Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Connie Babbert 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

And for our last week we are casing ME! I found a card from last year that I wanted to recreate because I love the layout!

TERRIFIC TOADSTOOLS

For my card, I rearranged the colors a little bit and used the Terrific Toadstools stamp set on my recreated card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bubble Bath cardstock is added on top.
Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Lovely Garden Designer Paper were colored over the white flowers with Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends and adhered to the front.
The 3 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Pool Party Ink using a Blending Brush in the background.
The greeting from Terrific Toadstools was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.
The toadstools and stems were stamped with alternating Bubble Bath and Pool Party Inks on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut. (I hand-cut because I like a little white space around the edges of my images…you could use the punch for most of it.)
The ground and leaves were stamped with Garden Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut.
Everything was added to the front white panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A portion of the Labeled with Love Punch was cut from Pool Party cardstock and added to the panel with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
A trio of Party Dots were added to the tag and background.

CSF860 – Thankful Garden

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a fun soft color combination! We hope you play along!

THANKFUL GARDEN

Thankful Garden is one of the NEW Online Exclusives now available for everyone to order on March 4th! It’s so easy to color but also looks nice stamped monochromatic! I just did some light water coloring with a little different cut card base!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 9-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded so the short end is on the front.
The Thankful Graden greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the left on the front flap.
I used the Peach Pie Marker and a Watercolor Painter to color a light background on the front flap towards the right side.
The hydrangea from Thankful Garden was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Pool Party, Old Olive and Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Thankful Garden Die and added to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the watercolor background.

A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peach Pie Unbounded Beauty DSP was added inside the base card.
The three-leaf cluster was cut with the die from Old Olive cardstock and adhered inside over the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that it partially peeks through the front under the hydrangea.
A portion of the Hydrangea was stamped and colored again the same as above and the small floral die used to cut away a portion, then adhered next to the leaf cluster inside.
A trio of Party Dots were added to the background.
Some beige Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was tied in a bow and added to the stem.

CS184 – Happy Hibiscus

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Easter as the focus on our cards! Even though Easter is late in the Spring this year, it is always nice to have ideas to get a jump start on them!

HAPPY HIBISCUS

Here in Florida, our hibiscus plants bloom almost all year long! These are the red colors on the one in my front yard! I love it against the yellow checked background.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/2 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Floral Delight Designer Paper was added on top of that.
The three Happy Hibiscus flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink, then brushed with Real Red, Daffodil Delight Inks and the leaves with Garden Green Ink. They were cut with the Happy Hibiscus Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Easter from Throughout the Year stamp set was stamped with Garden Green Ink on a 3/4 x 3-1/4 Basic White and tucked around the flowers.
A trio of Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added in the background.

IM375 – Beautiful Butterflies

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is celebrating a beautiful butterfly!

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES

So easy to grab my new Beautiful Butterfly stamp set that was free during Sale-A-Bration, but is still in the catalog! It made the perfect butterfly for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of the Pretty in Pink stripe pattern in the 2024-26 In Color 6×6 Designer Paper was stamped with the butterfly wing (looks like a flower to me!) in Pretty Ink Pink Ink randomly over the background. It was adhered to the base card.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Balmy Blue cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Beautiful Butterflies with Memento Black Ink and adhered to the front.
The Gold Open Weave Trim was doubled and adhered to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Beautiful Butterflies image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Balmy Blue Combo, Azure Afternoon Combo Stampin’ Blends from light to dark. It was hand-cut and added to the Trim with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two large Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added to the body and one small next to the greeting for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Melissa Davies 2025

This week we are “Casing Melissa Davies”! I grabbed one of her Bird’s Eye View cards from last year!

PEEKABOO FOREST

This is one of the new Online Exclusive Offering that is now available for customers to order! SOOOO cute! I love this raccoon, and I used it to recreate Melissa’s look!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mixed Media Florals black and white design I colored with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad by scrapping it across the front.
A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock was wrapped with Gold Textured Thread and tied in a bow. It was adhered across the front on a slight angle.
The corners were rounded on the 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 1-1/2 piece of Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon was folded in half and secured behind the white panel.
Happy Birthday from So Sincere was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 3 piece of Pool Party and the ends cut in a banner.
Three leaf clusters were cut with the Peekaboo Forest Dies and trimmed so they are stand-alone elements. They were brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink for some dimension and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
The racoon was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. He was cut out with the Peekaboo Dies and tucked under the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the white panel.

CSF859 – So Sincere

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! This week is a fun sketch challenge! We hope you play along!

SO SINCERE

I just purchased this So Sincere stamp set…I think it will be useful for a lot of cards I make…and it has this vertical happy birthday greeting! This card was SUPER simple to make by using the Wildflower Birthday Specialty 12×12 DSP

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Wildflower Birthday DSP was added to the bottom left side of the base card.
Happy Birthday from So Sincere stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the upper right area.
The large blossom sticker die-cut element was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of blue Party Dots were added in the background.

MIXED FLORALS

Yellow, green and blue just are SO springy looking so I focused on those colors for today’s Easter card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of Floral Delight DSP was added down the center.
The 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Old Olive cardstock was torn across the top and bottom and added to the front.
The large flower from Mixed Florals was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and water colored with Lemon Lolly, Old Olive and Balmy Blue Inks. It was cut with the Spotlight on Nature circle die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
Easter Greetings from Storybook Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/2 Old Olive cardstock and the ends torn. It was adhered to the circle.

IM374 – Hearts of Elegance

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Hearts are kind of my standby solution for shamrocks and four-leaf clover when Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have a current stamp that I have. Hearts of Elegance had several different options to use so I went with the stamped leaf heart.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Full of Life Designer Paper was added on top using primarily the green and gold colors in the prints.
A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Garden Green cardstock was placed across the bottom portion.
The Everyday Arch was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Throughout the Year sentiment in Garden Green Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the leaf hearts were inked with Lemon Lime Twist and brushed with Garden Green Ink using a Blending Brush to give a two-tone look and stamped on Basic White cardstock. They were cut with the Hearts of Elegance Dies and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A stem was hand-cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added to the arch.
A trio of green Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the center of the hearts.
Some Gold Textured Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
