CSF848 – Hearts of Elegance

Another Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. What a pretty color combination!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

I originally thought of flowers but had the Hearts of Elegance Bundle already sitting on my desk from working on our latest Collection, so I went with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Berry Burst cardstock was added to the front.
The greeting from Hearts of Elegance stamp set was stamped with Berry Burst Ink at the bottom of a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 Basic White cardstock layer. It was added to the front.
The two leaf hearts were stamped OFF with Berry Burst Ink on Basic White, the leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink. All were cut with the Hearts of Elegance Dies.
The embossed/stitched heart was cut from Berry Burst cardstock. All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
An Adhesive Backed Heart Sequin was added to the center of the stitched heart.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for December is Season’s Greetings!

LIGHT THE WAY

I have had this card done for a while…but haven’t posted it. I love this greeting! And, with the dies, making this card didn’t take much time at all!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock is added on top.
A 2-1/4 x 5 strip of Regals Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Paper was added on the right side.
The tag from Greetings of the Season was stamped with the greeting in Pretty Peacock Ink. It was added to the front.
The lantern and pinecones were stamped with Pecan Pie and colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
The candle and bow were stamped with Real Red Ink and colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
The pine branches were stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink.
The berry sprays were cut from Real Red cardstock with the Dies.
All were cut with the Light the Way Dies and assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM362 – Snowman Hugs

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a wintery snowman landscape!

SNOWMAN HUGS

I combined two stamp sets…Snowman Hugs and Forever Forest to complete this card! I think it is a good representation of the inspiration photo, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
I tore a 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of scrap paper and made a mask to add the snowline by brushing Balmy Blue Ink along the torn edge onto a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock. I added snowdrifts the same way below the snow line.
I stamped the row of trees from Forever Forest with Mossy Meadow Ink towards the right side, then a single tree towards the left side, leaving a gap. I colored the trunks with Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends and the ground under the trees with Light Crumb Cake Blends.
The snowman from Snowman Hugs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon, Light Basic Black, Light Gray Granite, Light Petal Pink, Light Pecan Pie, and Light Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends. He was hand-cut and added to the front of the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Snowman Hugs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/2 and the end cut at an angle. It was adhered to the front.
A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the background and one to his hat band.

CSF847 – Christmas Friends

Another Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a fun sketch for you to try this week! The dashed line indicates it is cut and opening as a gate fold card!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

This little fellow has been hanging out on my desk for a couple months! I had started him for another project and didn’t use him. So, it was a perfect time to finish off a card with him as the focus!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 1-1/2 and 5-3/4, then folded the flaps towards the center.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 and 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 pieces of gingham Perennial Lavender Designer Paper were added to the front flaps (I love the gingham pattern that looks so masculine in a traditionally feminine package of paper!)
The largest Stylish Shapes circle die was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock.
The two greenery branches from Christmas Friends Dies from Old Olive cardstock and the bow from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. They were adhered together and added to the side of the circle.
The moose was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Real Red and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. He was cut with the Dies and added to the front of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Christmas Friends was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was adhered to the bottom of the circle.
The circle was attached only to the right side of the circle.
Some Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the greenery and the background.

Inside, the greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
A 1/2 x 4 strip of the gingham Perennial Lavender DSP was added along the bottom.

IM361 – Sophisticated Sled

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a beautiful door threshold!

SOPHISTICATED SLED

I created some faux doors to hold my wreaths from the Sophisticated Sled stamp set! The two-tone cardstock is so fun to emboss and sand so the white core shows up!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Reindeer Memories 12×12 Two Tone Cardstock was embossed with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder and sanded. Some Crumb Cake Ink was brushed around to darken the edges and create some highlights. It was cut in half lengthwise and added to the front of the base card.
Two Sophisticated Sled wreaths were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Old Olive and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Sophisticated Sled Dies and added to the front “door” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Sophisticated Sled greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1 x 3 Crumb Cake cardstock and the ends cut like a flag.
Two bows were made with the Black & Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and added to the wreaths with Mini Glue Dots.

Saturday Blog Hop – Traditional Christmas Colors

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are featuring traditional red and green Christmas colors on our cards! Can’t believe it will be December tomorrow!

FILLED WITH CHEER

This the first time I’ve used the poinsettias/gifts image. I love the snowman image in this set, but this one is pretty cute, too, so thought it needed some love! Of course, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade are perfect Christmas colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Two 1 x 5-1/4 strips of Take A Bow Designer Paper were added to the top and bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The poinsettia/gifts image from Filled with Cheer stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Shaded Spruce/Old Olive Stampin’ Blends (those two colors combined make a pretty close Garden Green color!)
The holly was cut from Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade cardstocks using the Reindeer Fun Dies and sponged with Garden Green Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Filled with Cheer was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Poppy Parade cardstock, then cut with the Stylish Shapes Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Earth Tones Shimmer Gems were added to the background.

ONE OF A KIND

I’ve gone with a simple card today…mostly because I ended up making TWO other cards for this challenge but mistakenly used Lemon Lolly instead of Lemon Lime Twist! Grrr…

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Azure Afternoon cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The One of a Kind snowflakes were cut from Lemon Lime Twist, Gray Granite and Azure Afternoon cardstocks using the die. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Christmas Labels was stamped with Azure Afternoon Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Christmas Labels Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three clear Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the snowflakes for lots of bling!

CS169 – Yuletide Village

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for November is Christmas! Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

YULETIDE VILLAGE

I love the little houses and church in the Yuletide Village stamp set! Today’s is a quick card using one of the house images and the tag from Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusive).

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon was added on top.
The next layer is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Winter Meadow DSP.
A 1-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn across the top and added to a 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock. It was cut with the tag from Greetings of the Season.
The top portion was stamped with the snowflakes in White Craft Ink and let dry. Then the greeting from Greetings of the Season was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink.
The houses image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Smoky Slate, Soft Sea Foam, Light Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. The bow and scarf with Poppy Parade Marker. It was hand-cut and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow on the tag.
Wink of Stella was added to the rooftops and snowlines for a little sparkle!
