CS167 – Sweetest Star

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for November is Christmas! Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

SWEETEST STAR

Here’s a fun, quick card using the Sweetest Star stamp set and punch!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Sweetest Star greeting in Garden Green Ink in the upper left corner.
A 3 x 4 piece of holly Snowy Scenes Designer Paper was added at the bottom, with a 1/2 x 4 strip of coordinating stripe DSP across the top.
A 2-3/8″ Circle was punched from Real Red cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The gingerbread man was stamped with White Craft Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder, then punched with the Sweetest Star punch. It was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Red & White Peppermints were added for buttons.

IM358 – Filled with Cheer

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a row of icicles! I remember growing up in a farmhouse where my dad farmed, and the old house would get pretty rows of icicles every winter on the eaves! I didn’t know that was a BAD thing! We used to break them off and eat them! lol!

FILLED WITH CHEER & FROZEN EDGES

I love the Frozen Edges Dies…they make a great accent to a card! I combined it with my snowman from Filled with Cheer for a frosty scene!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Winter Meadow 12×12 Designer Paper was added on top.
The icicles were cut from Basic White cardstock and added to the top.
A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White was torn across the top and layered together to form the snowbanks at the bottom.
The snowman image from Filled with Cheer was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the snowbank.
The greeting was stamped directly on the designer paper with Memento Black Ink.
Some White Loose Snowflakes were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Aug-Dec 2024 Christmas Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. We will be sharing our Favorite Sept-Dec 2024 Christmas Bundle this week!

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

OK, I’ll admit. This wasn’t even on my original list when the new Mini Catalog came out. But, since I’ve had a chance to play with it, I really think it is my favorite! Winterly Tree Tops has got to be a close second and the snowman snow globes in Snowy Wonder is my third. This is a card I designed for my Club this month!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Take a Bow 6×6 Designer Paper was added down the right side.
The large circle in the Christmas Friends Dies was cut from Red Real cardstock and trimmed across the bottom, then added to the front.
A 1/2 x 4 strip of Take a Bow DSP was added along the bottom of the circle.
The moose (TOO cute!) was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. The scarf and socks with Real Red, Gray Granite, and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. He was cut with the Christmas Friends die and added to the front.
The hat (from the owl) was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the moose head.
Two trees were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Garden Green cardstock and the trunk colored with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the die and added to the front.
Happy Holidays was stamped with Garden Green Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The word bubble was cut from Basic White cardstock and the notes from Basic Black cardstock using the Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I found some gold enamel stars and circles in my retired stash and added them to the top of the trees and circle.

CSF843 – Festive Words

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a great sketch this week for you to try!

FESTIVE WORDS

I love this snowman hat…I got this set because I saw a cute card that I want to recreate someday, and I thought it would make some fun tags! The images are a perfect size for the center of this sketch! You could substitute ANY of them easily!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
A 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Snowy Scenes Designer Paper was added to the Pool Party layer.
Some Pool Party Pom Pom Ribbon was wrapped around the Pool Party layer and tied in a knot. The layers were added to the front of the base card.
A circle was cut from Basic White cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The hat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Dark Smoky Slate, Dark Real Red, and Light Shaded Spruce and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. (I get the Garden Green color by using the Shaded Spruce Blends first, then go over the top with the Light Old Olive Blends.) It was hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some White Loose Snowflakes were added to the background.

CS166 – Polar Bear

POLAR BEAR using POTIONS & SPELLS DIES

This card has been done for several weeks, but I haven’t had a chance to share until now! I’ve made a cute polar bear from the Potions & Spells cauldron die! Can you see it?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was added on top.
Two 1-1/4 x 4 strips of Snowy Scenes Designer Paper were added to each side.
The greeting from Christmas Friends (perfect!) was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom.
The polar bear head is the cauldron from Potions & Spells Dies turned upside down and cut from Basic White cardstock.
The ears are medium bubbles cut from Basic White cardstock and inside ears are small bubbles cut from Petal Pink cardstock and the eyes small bubbles from Basic Black cardstock.
The cheeks were colored with Petal Pink Ink using a sponge dauber.
The muzzle is a 1-1/4″ Circle cut from Basic White and trimmed along the top.
The nose is the beaker liquid cut with the die from Basic Black cardstock. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The scarf is 1/4 x 5 cut and trimmed and adhered to the bottom of the “top” of the cauldron.

IM357 – Sweetest Star

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This is a cute hanging Santa trio, and I used Sweetest Star stamp set on my card, of course!

SWEETEST STAR

I just love all the small Christmas prints in the Take a Bow 6×6 Designer Paper Pack! I used several of them in 1″ strips for my background.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Five Take a Bow patterns were cut into 1 x 4 strips and adhered in the background with a small spacing between them.
The Spotlight on Nature circle was cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the first part of the Sweetest Star greeting inked with a Black Stampin’ Write Marker. The dots were added to show the greeting continued on the inside.
Some Iridescent Ribbon was looped a couple times and attached to the front with a Stampin’ Dimensional, then the circle added on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Santa star was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Real Red, Light Basic Black, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Gray Granite, and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. He was punched out with the Sweetest Star Punch and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Drusy Embellishments were added to the background (they REALLY sparkle!)

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Thanksgiving

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week is all about Thanksgiving! Here in the United States, it is celebrated on November 28th this year! Tis the season to be grateful for all our blessings!

AUTUMN LEAVES

The “with a Grateful Heart” is one of my favorite sayings. You can find it in the Autumn Leaves stamp set! This card focuses on that greeting and the gorgeous Splendid Autumn Designer Paper! I admit that I’ve been hoarding this floral print…but I finally broke down and used it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Copper Clay cardstock was embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of the Splendid Autumn floral Designer Paper was added to the right side.
Two leaves from the Autumn Leaves Dies were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock and blended with Copper Clay Ink using a Blending Brush. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Autumn Leaves was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the label from the Autumn Leaves Dies. It was added over the stems of the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was doubled and then tied in a bow and added to the stems of the leaves.

CHRISTMAS FRIENDS

I’ve been having fun playing with Christmas Friends stamp set! Such cute critters!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock was cut with the greenery circle from Reindeer Fun Dies.
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the Early Espresso.
A 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper was placed behind the opening and then the entire layer added to the base card.
The owl was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Real Red and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. He was cut with the Christmas Friends Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Real Red Ink on 3/4 x 3 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of White Loose Snowflakes were added to the background.
