CCMC691 – Merriest Moments

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  I loved this week’s sketch!  I know I’ll be using it again!

MERRIEST MOMENTS

I thought right away of using a poinsettia for the focus circle on the sketch and it worked perfectly!  I paired it with the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper that I LOVE, and am so happy they brought it back this year!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pear Pizzazz cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3 x 3 piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP was cut with the Basic Border Dies with the point off center, then adhered to the front.
  • Seasons Greetings was stamped with Real Red Ink on a 1 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, and adhered over the DSP towards the left side.
  • The large and small poinsettias from Merriest Moments stamp set were stamped with Real Red Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Dies.  They were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The three holly leaves were stamped with Garden Green Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and also cut with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Dies.  They were adhered under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three gold/clear Wonderful Gems were added to the center of the Poinsettia and three red for the background.

Creatively Simple 11 – Thankful

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Thankful” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!  It’s SO appropriate for this time of year!

I haven’t used these Pierced Blooms Dies since they came out in the Jan-June catalog earlier this year!  I LOVE the stitched blossoms and leaves.  I was looking for something that could make sunflowers for fall and these dies worked perfectly!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of In Good Taste Designer Paper was added to a3-1/8 x 4-3/8 piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then added to the front on a diagonal.
  • Three of the spiked flowers were cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies from Crushed Curry cardstock, the centers from Early Espresso cardstock, and the leaves from Old Olive cardstock.  They were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The label from Pierced Blooms Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock, then stamped with the Peaceful Moments stamp set greeting in Old Olive Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the center of the flowers.

IM202 – Eden’s Garden

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty pillow for our inspiration piece!

 

EDEN’S GARDEN BUNDLE

Stampin’ Up!’s newest bundle is an EARLY RELEASE of the upcoming Eden’s Garden Stamp Set and Eden Des that will be available in the new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog!  It is available for everone to order NOW, however the DSP and accessories are only while supplies last or January 3, 2022!  I decided to use the colors in the inspiration piece along with this stamp set and dies for today’s card!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White is stamped in the lower left corner with the leaf cluster in Crumb Cake Ink several times randomly.
    • The long bar is cut from Crumb Cake cardstock with the Eden Dies and added to the front.
    • The flower cluster is stamped with Bumblebee Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Three of the leaf clusters were cut from Bumblebee cardstock with the Eden Dies and added under the flower.
    • Sending Hugs from Eden’s Garden was stamped with Soft Suede Ink.
    • Some Linen Thread was doubled and tied in a bow, then added to the center of the flower cluster with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • A trio of Wonderful Gems were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Leaves

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Fall Leaves”.  Ours in Ohio are certainly almost all on the ground now.  Was so glad we did a little travelling a few weeks ago when they were at their peak!

INTRICATE LEAVES DIES

This card was made from pieces left on my desk from discarded projects.  I call them “starts” and love it when I can use them up!  I already had the banners made up, so just added some leaves and the base card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder.
  • Four 1-1/4 x 2-1/2 rectangles were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock, the banners hand cut at the bottom.  They were embossed with the Timeworn Embossing Folder and adhere to the front.
  • A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added across the top of the banners.
  • The Harvest Meadow DSP pieces were cut with the Hippo and Friends Dies, then added to the banners with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • FALL letters were cut from the Playful Alphabet Dies from Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the banners.
  • The small leaves were cut with the Intricate Dies using Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks and added around the banners.
  • Some Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the background.

CCMC690 – Angels of Peace

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  It is a very pretty color challenge this week!

ANGELS OF PEACE

At a recent stamping retreat, I borrowed a friend’s Angel of Peace stamp set and created a few different designs with it.  This is one of my favorites!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • A 3 x 5-1/4 piece of snowflake Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper was added to the right side.
  • The coordinating 1-1/4 x 4 piece of mint Whimsy & Wonder DSP was added across the center.
  • The small Angel of Peace was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with the Light Mint Macaron, Light Polished Pink, Bronze, Ivory Stampin’ Blends.  The wings were watercolored with the Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker.  It was cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies.
  • Some Simply Elegant Silver Trim was wrapped in circles, then added to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The angel label was added on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tis the Season greeting from Christmas to Remember stamp set was stamped with Polished Pink Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut,, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of pink In Color Jewels were added to the background.

Delicate Baubles Dies – Polar Bear

OK…having just TOO much fun to put down these Delicate Bauble Dies yet.  Next up is a cute and cuddly POLAR BEAR all dressed up for the holidays!

You can see my GNOME, SANTA, GINGERBREAD, ELF, PENGUIN, SNOWMAN, WITCH, MICKEY MOUSE,  DRACULA, RUDOLPH, GRINCH & MAX, NUTCRACKER, SCARECROW, SANTA AND MRS CLAUS , the BOY AND GIRL PILGRIMS, and the TURKEY by clicking on their name.

POLAR BEAR

  • The base of the card is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pear Pizzazz is added on top.
  • Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper is added to each side.
  • The polar bear body is the Delicate Bauble Die cut from Basic White cardstock.
  • The stocking cap is the top portion of the Delicate Bauble Die cut from Heartwarming Hugs DSP and adhered.
  • The snout is the second from smallest Layering Circle Die cut from Basic White cardstock.  It is popped up on the Bauble with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The nose is the Double Oval Punch punched from Basic Black cardstock and trimmed.  It is popped up on the snout with Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The eyes are 3/8″ Circles of Basic Black cardstock and the cheeks are 1/2″ circles of Blushing Bride cardstock.  All were added with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The scarf is hand-trimmed 3/8″ strips of Heartwarming Hugs DSP and adhered around the neck.
  • The polar bear was added to the front of the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Season’s Greetings from Penguin Place stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Double Oval Punch, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two Red Rhinestones were added to each side of the greeting.
  • The White Chalk Marker added highlights to his eyes and nose.

Creatively Simple 10 – Thankful

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Thankful” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!  It’s SO appropriate for this time of year!

I can definitely say that I’ve gotten a LOT of use out of my Seasonal Swirls Dies.  And, it wasn’t even a set that was first on my list to get!  This card is SUPER simple and easy to assemble, but I love the clean simplicity of it!  Just a couple passes thru the Cut & Emboss with the dies and you are done!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cajun Craze cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic white was stamped with the greeting from Heartfelt Wishes in Early Espresso Ink towards the bototm.
  • The Seasonal Swirls leaf wreath was partially cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.  The leaves were cut from Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then added to the wreath.
  • Two pumpkins were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Die and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Simply Elegant Gold Trim was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Genial Gems were added to the background.

IM201 – Poinsettia Petals

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty tablescape for our inspiration piece!

Now, I’ll admit that tablescape didn’t scream “Christmas” to me, but then I thought…why not?  I think they are awesome colors for a non-traditional Christmas color scheme!  I used Stampin’ Up!’s Poinsettia Petals a LOT last year when it first came out, and was so glad to see it carry over to the Annual Catalog.  The big blooms were perfect for this challenge!

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
    • Down the center is a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of black buffalo print in Pattern Party Designer Paper (Host only option).
    • The large, medium and small poinsettia petals were cut from Polished Pink cardstock with the Poinsettia Dies and adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Three leaves were cut from Soft Succulent cardstock with the Poinsettia Dies and added under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Three berry branches and center were cut from Black Glitter Paper with the Poinsettia Dies and tucked under the flower and adhered in the center.
    • Merry Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and hand-cut around the letters, then added across the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
