CCMC609 – Under My Umbrella

Happy Thursday!!! Here’s a nice, bright color challenge for you on Create with Connie and Mary today!

I used my Under My Umbrella stamp set for this cute card.  Isn’t it nice and springy looking?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is added on top.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of Brights 6×6 DSP in Daffodil Delight was added to the front towards the top.
  • The closed umbrella image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
  • The handles were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Gray Granite cardstock, and punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
  • All umbrellas were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three flower bouquets were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Bermuda Bay and Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut and added to the umbrellas.
  • Champagne Rhinestones were added to the center of the flowers.
  • Some White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the center handle and tied in a bow.
  • The greeting from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

Saturday Blog Hop – April Showers

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is April Showers…rain, rainbows, umbrellas, etc!

UNDER MY UMBRELLA & FABLE FRIENDS

I combined two sets for my card…Under My Umbrella and Fable Friends.  I thought the duck was so cute (and appropriate) for an April Showers card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Marina Mist cardstock was embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder, then layered on a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
  • A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP was added across the front.
  • The Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the raindrops from Under My Umbrella several times with Marina Mist Ink, then adhered to the front.
  • The duck from Fable Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Light & Dark Pineapple Punch, Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light Gray Granite Blends.  He was cut out by hand and added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The umbrella from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a piece of Brights 6×6 Poppy Parade DSP, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.  The handle was punched from Basic Gray cardstock.  The umbrella was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the handle with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • The flower bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light & Dark Poppy Parade, Dark Call Me Clover and Light Pineapple Punch Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the top of the umbrella.
  • A Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot was added in the center of the flower.
  • The greeting from Under My Umbrella was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM112 – Under My Umbrella

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some delicious looking umbrella cookies!

Of course, my new Under My Umbrella stamp set is perfect for this inspiration challenge!  Here’s what I did with it.  Doesn’t that look sweet, too?

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of So Saffron Gingham from the Subtles Designer Paper Pack was added on top.
    • The Stitched So Sweetly rectangle was cut with the die from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Under My Umbrella in Memento Black Ink.
    • The umbrella top was stamped on Mint Macaron, So Saffron and Blushing Bride cardstocks and punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
    • The handles were punched from Soft Suede cardstock.
    • All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The Chalk Pen was used to outline the umbrellas with white dots.
    • The small flowers were stamped three times with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then colored with So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Markers.  They were added to the tops of the umbrellas with Mini Glue Dots.
    • The centers of the flowers have a small Mint Macaron Rhinestone from Holiday Rhinestones (yes!  These are still available to order!)

Maui Achievers Blog Hop – February 2020

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip! February’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!

UNDER MY UMBRELLA

This was the card I made for the SU Trip Achievers Occasions Swap, but haven’t shown it.  I loved the clean, simple lines of AND the colors!  I’d love a bedroom done in these colors one day.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
  • Across the bottom is a 5/8 x 5 piece of Pineapple Punch (In Colors) 6×6 DSP in the Gingham pattern, cut at an angle on one end.
  • Over that is a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock, cut at an angle on the end.
  • A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Smoky Slate is cut with the Stitched Rectangle Die and embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder (doesn’t it look like raindrops?)  It is added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Umbrella image was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pineapple Punch cardstock, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch and added the the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The handle was punched from Basic Black cardstsock and added under the umbrella top.
  • The flowers were stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White cardstock, colored with the Pineapple Punch and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, then cut out and added to the umbrella handle with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The Rain or Shine greeting was stamped to the left with Memento Black Ink.
  • A trio of Rhinestones were added next to the greeting, the top of the umbrella and the flower center to finish it off!

Saturday Blog Hop – Imagine

Wow!   Another Saturday has rolled around!  This month on Create with Connie and Mary blog hops, we are featuring “empowerment words”. Every Saturday we will have a new word that hopefully inspires the card we make. This week’s Saturday Blog Hop word is “Imagine”, maybe using a stamp set in a different way?  Thinking out of the box!  So, here’s what I did with the new stamp set and punch bundle, Under My Umbrella!

I had fun making punch art butterflies out of the umbrella tops and the bodies from the umbrella handle!  The small prints in the Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper worked perfectly!  Also, lots of other NEW products on here…can you spot them?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4  5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Stone Embossing Folder (I LOVE that folder…it is bundled with the Power of Hope stamp set for FREE with a $100 purchase).
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper was added on the left side.
  • The larger umbrella image was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink on the Calypso Coral print DSP and the smaller umbrella stamped twice on the Pool Party Print, then punched with the Umbrella Builder Punch.
  • The handle was punched four times from Early Espresso cardstock.
  • The two butterflies were assembled and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the bodies with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • The “sun” was punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch from Pineapple Punch cardstock, stamped with Hello Sunshine from Under My Umbrella stamp set with Memento Black Ink, and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Metallic Baker’s Twine (another FREE Sale-a-Bration with $50 purchase) was tied in a bow and added to the bodies with Mini Glue Dots.
  • A trio of Sequins from the SAB Twine/Sequin package were added in the background.

I am SO happy with how this turned out and feel I really used the power word “imagine”, don’t you?
