CCMC736 – Scary Cute

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a pretty color combination this week!

SCARY CUTE

These colors said “Halloween” to me, so I used my Scary Cute Bundle for today’s Challenge card! Also thought the focal piece would make a fun tag for a bag of candy!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, stamp the top with the trio of bats in Scary Cute stamp set with Memento Black Ink.
Adhere a 2 x 4 piece of Cottage Gingham Designer paper across the front.
Tie Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the layers, then add to the base card.
Cut the inside from 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 Basic White cardstock with the Scary Silhouettes Die, stamp the Frankenstein image with Rich Razzleberry Ink and the greeting with Evening Evergreen Ink. Blend Evening Evergreen Ink around the edges with the Blending Brush.
Cut a 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock, adhere the stamped die cut inside, then adhere to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add Red & Green Pearls (silver color) to each corner.

July 2021 Maui Achievers Blog Hop

Today I have THREE posts for you…make sure to check out the other two!

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve both Maui trips that were held in May 2021 plus earn the trip for 2022! Our theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

CLEVER CATS STAMP SET

Demos have been able to preorder from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog and I must admit that this Clever Cats stamp set was at the very top of my list!!! I love cats! We’ve been thinking of getting another one since we lost our sweet Bleach several years ago. We’ll see! Here’s a quick card that I made up for today’s blog hop. Remember, most of these products will not be available for order until August 3, 2021.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bumblebee cardstock was added on top.
Two 1 x 4 strips of Cute Halloween Designer Paper (kind of looks like fur!) were added to the right side and the greeting from Clever Cats stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower left area.
A 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White was randomly stamped with the large and small bats from Clever Cats stamp set in Memento Black Ink.
The cat was stamped on scrap Basic White with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate Blends for the body and Daffodil Delight Blends for the eyes. It was hand-cut.
The broom was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on scrap Basic White and colored with the Daffodil Delight Blends for the straw. It was also hand-cut, and both added to the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Basic White panel was added to a layer of 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 Basic Black cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of iridescent Cute Stars were added to the background for a little bling.

CCMC578 – Wonderfully Wicked

Happy Thursday, again! We have a fun sketch challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

I decided to pull out Stampin’ Up!’s Wonderfully Wicked stamp set and Ornate Frames for this challenge! I love that haunted house designer paper in the Monster Bash DSP package, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic Black Cardstock.
A 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Monster Bash DSP was added to the background.
The 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the spider web image from Wonderfully Wicked stamp set with Gray Granite Ink.
The bat an cat were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the Whisper White with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Wicked was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Ornate Frames die.
The frame around Wicked was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the Ornate Frame die. It was adhere together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A crow from the Monster Bash Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the W.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the cat’s neck.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN – Trick or Tweet!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Tonight is Beggar’s Night in our area…unfortunately is supposed to rain ALL day!

I found this card when I was cleaning up a little and remembered that I hadn’t shared it yet on my blog. I made this for one of the swaps I participated in a couple months ago for the Holiday Catalog! Hard to believe that those of us going to OnStage will be viewing the new OCCASIONS catalog next week! Woohoo!!!

Hard to see from this photo, but it has a special feature…it opens from left to right (the fold is on the right!) and the front panel is shortened so that the DSP from the inside peeks thru to the front! I love it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 to form the base card with the fold on the right.
A 1 x 5-1/2 strip of Toil and Trouble Designer Paper was added to the left (inside).
The 3 x 5-1/2 layer of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the elephant from Trick or Tweet in Memento Black Ink and colored with Basic Gray, Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. The ground with Light Granny Apple Green Blends.
The pumpkin was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock, colored with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Markers, then hand cut and added next to the elephant.
The bats were punched with the Spooky Bat Punch from Basic Black cardstock and two added to the top of the panel.
The Batty for You greeting from Trick or Tweet stamp set was stamped on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch and added to a 1-3/4 Circle Punch of Basic Black. It is adhered half on the front panel so that it hangs over the edge of the card.
An adhesive backed sequin adds a little bling!

Isn’t he sweet? Such a fun fold on a card! I’ll be using it again and again!

Saturday Blog Hop – Black and Orange

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Black & Orange Cards” this week. Of course, since Halloween is SO close now, it was the obvious choice to use, right? But…I think not quite so obvious is the use of the Garden Girl stamp set! I love how she turned out!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Spooky Nights Designer Paper was placed at the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
The pumpkins from Spooky Nights Designer Paper were cut out and placed at the top of the DSP.
The girl from Garden Girl was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White, then colored with the NEW Stampin’ Blends in Dark/Light Pumpkin Pie and Dark/Light Smoky Slate and Ivory for the skin.
The hat from Spooky Cat stamp set was stamped with Memento Black on Very Vanilla and cut out. The buckle colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie.
Don’t forget one of the small pumpkins was cut from the DSP and tucked in the basket.
Happy Halloween from Spooky Cat Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black.
A few Black Rhinestones were scattered in the background.

CCMC480 Pick a Pumpkin

We have a fun sketch challenge for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary this week! I combined the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set with the Spooky Nights Designer Paper to come up with my fun card! LOVE the colors, too!

Here’s my card:

The Stampin’ details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie, embossed with the Sparkle embossing folder.
The large circle from Layering Shapes Circles cut the Spooky Nights DSP, then the scallop circle cut from Lemon Lime Twist was adhered under it. It is popped on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The star pumpkin was cut from Cajun Craze and the outline pumpkin from Lemon Lime Twist with the Patterned Pumpkins Framelits and added on top of the circle.
A jack-o-lantern and witch hat were cut from the Spooky Nights DSP and added to the front.
Happy Halloween from Spooky Cat stamp set was stamped with Memento Black on Lemon Lime Twist and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then tucked under the pumpkin.
A Black Rhinestone was added to the hat band plus a few scattered in the background for a little bling.

Saturday Blog Hop – Awning Cards

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Awning special fold” cards this week! I first saw one done by my fabulous friend, Lorri Heiling, with a hut and mixed drinks and have wanted to try one for myself!

Here’s what I came up with using the cute potion bottles from Spooky Cat stamp set!

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
A 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was scored at 1/4″ and placed at the bottom of a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock. It was stamped with Happy Halloween with Memento Black Ink.
A row of the hash mark image from Spooky Cat stamp set was stamped above it using Soft Sky Ink for the “table”.
The potion glasses were stamped with Memento Black Ink on top and filled with Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Cajun Craze liquids.
The awning was made by cutting a 2 x 3-3/4 piece of striped Spooky Night Designer Paper and scoring across at 3/8 and 1-5/8″. Adhere the top scored piece to the top of the Very Vanilla layer, then bend out the center section.
The black awning piece was cut with the Home Sweet Home Thinlits from Basic Black cardstock (twice) and adhered along the edge, then trimmed to fit.
A witch hat from the Spooky Night Designer Paper was cut out and added to the bottom with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pop-Up Surprise

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Pop-Up Surprise” for the inside of our cards this week! We’ll see what the Design Team did…more of a challenge this week!

I went back and forth on what to do…finally decided on a Halloween theme. Here’s the outside.

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/2 piece of Spooky Night DSP was added to the bottom, and the coordinating stripe pattern was cut 1/4 x 5-1/2 and adhered to hide the seam.
The cobweb and bats from Sweet Home stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink.
The hat was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla, the buckle colored with Daffodil Delight Marker, then cut with the Layering Circles Framelits. It was adhered to a larger Scallop Layering Circle cut from Basic Black and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The fun is when you open it up…the moon, cat and hat all pop out towards you!

A 5 x 8 piece of Basic Black cardstock was scored at 4 and folded.
Approx. 2″ from each end, a cut was made thru the fold and reversed folded to create the pop-out.
The moon was cut with the Layering Circles from Daffodil Delight, sponged around the edges with Pumpkin Pie Ink and two of the bats stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was added to the pop-out.
The cat was punched from Basic Gray and the face added with Memento Black Ink and added to the moon.
The hat was cut from the Designer Paper an added in front of the moon.
At the inside bottom, a 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Spooky Night DSP was added to the bottom with a coordinating stripe DSP to hide the seam.
The “owl” eyes were stamped with Whisper White several times in the background randomly. The greeting was stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink above the DSP.
