CS147 – Citrus Blooms

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Foodie”. Cards that have a food type item on them!

CITRUS BLOOMS

I love the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Paper…so many nice images to cut out…and the various sizes of blue tiles…wow! I especially love the lemons.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was added on the front.
Two 1-1/4 x 4 strips of Mediterranean Blooms DSP were added to the background offset.
The double lemon cluster was hand-cut from the DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Four of the leaf branches were cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and tucked around the lemons.
The greeting from Citrus Blooms stamp set was stamped with Old Olive Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut an an angle.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
Three yellow Shiny Sequins were added to the background.

IM323 – So Refreshing with Lemons

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a fun set of lemon kitchen towels!

SO REFRESHING

The only stamp set I have with lemons is So Refreshing. So where did that designer paper come from? I decided to stamp some “designer paper” of my own! Who remembers when that was the only way we could get prints…the designer paper selection was SO limited back 20 years ago! We have beautiful ones now!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of yellow striped Lighter Than Air 6×6 Designer Paper was added on top.
The 3 x 4-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped randomly with the lemons in Daffodil Delight Ink and the leaves randomly with Granny Apple Green Ink. They were colored with Light Lemon Lolly and Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front.
A 1-1/4 x 3 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock was added on top with a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock layered on top.
The greeting from So Refreshing was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Nested Essentials Dies and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins were added to the banner and background for a little bling!

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite JA Mini Stamp Set

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We have a BRAND NEW January-April Mini Catalog that launched this month AND it’s Sale-A-Bration time! This week the Design Team is showing off their favorite Mini Catalog Stamp Set/Bundle! I know…that is going to be HARD, right? So many fabulous sets to choose from!

SWEET CITRUS

This Sweet Citrus Bundle caught my eye right away! I love that it has a hybrid embossing folder that will emboss the fruit or background! AND I love that the fruits are combined onto one stamp image to make it easier to cut them out! I combined this new bundle with the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper from the Annual Catalog.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The Hues of Happiness DSP was cut to 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 and adhered on top.
The lemonade glass is 2-1/4 x 3 of both Basic White cardstock and Vellum Paper. The sides were trimmed at an angle to form the glass shape.
On the Basic White glass, Mango Melody was sponged along the bottom, Daffodil Delight above it, leaving a “rim” of white along the top.
The Vellum glass was adhered over the colored Basic White glass, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The lemons were stamped on Basic White cardstock with the outline image in Daffodil Delight Ink, the insides with So Saffron Ink. It was embossed with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder and cut with the Sweet Citrus Dies. They were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A slit was cut on the half slice to fit over the top of the glass.
Wink of Stella was added to the lemons.
Two sets of leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink and cut with the Sweet Citrus Dies, then tucked around the lemons.
The greeting from Sweet Citrus was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the top.
A trio of green In Color Matte Dots were added to the background.

CCMC468 Lemon Zest

After seeing SO many cute cards done with the Lemon Zest and punch, I decided that I needed to buy it! I’ve used it on my Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge card this week! It’s a fun sketch challenge!

Here’s my card:

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Wild Wasabi Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the lemon slice was stamped randomly in the background with Daffodil Delight Ink.
Two squares were cut from the Pick A Pattern DSP (2-1/4 and 2″ squares) and added diagonally to the front.
A 3/4 x 4-1/2 strip of Wild Wasabi cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Tuxedo Black Ink, then added across the front.
The lemon and lemon slice were stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White, the leaves with Wild Wasabi Ink. (I must admit I forgot to use the punch…I hand cut them out! lol!) They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two yellow Glitter Dots were added to the DSP for a little sparkle!

CCMC395 Apple of My Eye

Want to get inspired? Check out the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a fun sketch challenge this week and you are welcome to play along!

And here’s my card!

I haven’t had the opportunity to use my Apple of My Eye stamp set and I thought it was perfect for this sketch! A little Wink of Stella on those lemon slices and they look SO real and ready to eat! lol!

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crushed Curry, folded in half and the bottom corners rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder punch.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White with the bottom corners rounded.
Across the front is a 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Have a Cuppa Designer Paper in the lemon slice print with two 1/4 x 4-1/2 strips of the Bermuda Bay print on top and bottom.
The Lots of Label Framelit was cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock and stamped with the Perfect Pairings (FREE SAB set) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. It was placed on the front at an angle.
Two lemon slices were stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Whisper White and punched with the 1-3/4 Circle Punch, then one of them cut in half. A little Wink of Stella was added to the slices. They were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few gold Sequins were scattered on the front for a little extra bling.

CCMC339 A Happy Thing

It’s Thursday! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a neat sketch challenge this week for you to try! I broke out my new stamp set, A Happy Thing…one of the FREE sets you can get for Sale-A-Bration! I LOVE the lemon and can’t believe I haven’t used it before now!

And here is my card! Don’t you love those fresh colors?

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party is embossed with the Delicate Dots folder.
The Best Year Ever Designer Paper was trimmed to 1/2 x 4 strips, then placed on the background Pool Party cardstock.
A 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 panel of Whisper White was stamped with the Lemon image from A Happy Thing with Tuxedo Black Ink. It was colored with Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz Blendabilities Markers. The corners were rounded with the Corner Rounder Punch.
Love Life from the same set was stamped with Tuxedo Black on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Large Oval Punch. It was matted with the Scallop Oval Punch of Crushed Curry cardstock, then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, a Crushed Curry button from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack was tied with White Bakers Twine and added to the front with a Mini Glue Dot.
