IM380 – Storybook Friends

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a cute bunny in a daisy patch!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

I thought one more spring card for Easter would be fun to make!  I love the neutrals in this one…with just a POP of yellow!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Perennial Garden DSP was added to the front.
  • The bunny from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake Combo and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Storybook Friends Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Several flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock with the new Impressions Abloom Dies (Online Exclusive), the centers from Darling Ducking cardstock (new In Color) and the leaves from Crumb Cake cardstock.  All were assembled around the bunny and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the centers with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • Happy Spring from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was tucked around the bunny and the flowers with Stampin’  Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Outgoing In Colors

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Outgoing In Colors”.  The 2023-25 In Colors are retiring the beginning of May.  What was your favorite?  Our Design Team will be showing their favorites this week as the feature on their card.

BLOOMING PHRASES

I ended up making two cards with different retiring colors using the same Blooming Phrases stamp set (a new online exclusive coming next month) and the Wildly Flowering Designer Paper.  For this card I used the retiring In Color, Moody Mauve.  Make sure to check out next Tuesday’s Creatively Simple card for the second card I made!  This Blooming Phrases stamp set appealed to me with the long “tails” on the greetings that you can add different shapes of flowers!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Bath cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Wildly Flowering DSP was placed next.
  • Two leaf branches were cut with the Thankful Garden Dies from Wild Wheat cardstock and added to the front.
  • The Blooming Phrases greeting was stamped with Wild Wheat Ink on 1 x 4-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock.  The flowers at the end were stamped with Moody Mauve Ink.  This was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals towards the right side.
  • Two 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added under the greeting on the left side.

CSF864 – Impressions Abloom

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a pretty color combination.  It reminded me of flowers, so I went in that direction!

IMPRESSIONS ABLOOM

Earlier, I used this set to create a card with the Impressions Abloom Dies.  This one uses the stamps and outline/texture dies for a totally different look!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Peach Pie cardstock was added on top.
  • Down the center is the 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 Pecan Pie texture pattern piece of Floral Delight Designer Paper.
  • The large flower from Impressions Abloom stamp set was stamped off on Basic White cardstock with Peach Pie Ink five times and then full strength five times on top.  The centers were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink.  Each was cut with the outline and detail dies.  TIP:  Use Washi Tape to hold them both together and cut at the same time.  They were added to the front of the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were stamped off six times on Basic White cardstock with Old Olive Ink and full strength five times on top.  They were cut with the Dies and tucked around the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The greeting from Impressions Abloom was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on 3/4 x 3-1/2 Peach Pie cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of peach Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots were added to the background.

CS188 – Impressions Abloom

We’re continuing our theme of Gardens this month with our Creatively Simple challenge!

IMPRESSIONS ABLOOM

Yes!  A brand-new stamp bundle from the Online Exclusives coming out on May 1st called Impressions Abloom!  Yep…it’s flowers, which is always a hit for me.  But the dies on this bundle are very cool!  One die is an outline to cut out the stamp images or direct from cardstock, BUT you can also add TEXTURE with the layered inside die!  It really gives so much detail to the die-cut!  See what I mean on today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the new Annual Catalog Turtle Textures Embossing Folder (I can see using this for SO much more than the turtles set!)
  • The Impressions Abloom oval die was cut from Floral Garden Designer Paper, then cut in half.  Both ends were added to the Basic White layer.
  • The flowers were cut with new In Colors cardstock, Strawberry Slush (a returning favorite!), Timid Tiger, and Darling Duckling using the Impressions Abloom Dies.  Then were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and tucked under the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Impressions Abloom was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 2 strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and tucked under the flower.
  • A trio of 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

IM379 – Wildflower Birthday

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty floral birthday cake!

WILDFLOWER BIRTHDAY

I think this Wildflower Birthday Designer Paper is SO pretty…and the catalog doesn’t do it justice!  Love the shimmery gold accents and the die-cut pieces to make it easy to pull a card together!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of floral Wildflower Birthday DSP was added to the left side.
  • The new Cloud Cover cardstock was cut with the Everyday Arches Die and added towards the right on the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The birthday cake was hand-cut from the Wildflower Birthday DSP and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Happy Birthday from Round We Go stamp set was stamped with Versamark on a 3/4 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock and embossed with Metallic Gold Embossing Powder, cut at a flag end and added to the cake.
  • A flower cluster from the Wildflower Birthday Die-cuts was added to the stand with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • A trio of gold Blooming Pearls were added to the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Miss the Most”.  What stamp set/bundle will you miss the most?  It’s Stampin’ Up! annual catalog retirement time and lots of favorites will be going away in another month.

COUNTRY FLOWERS

I LOVE this stamp set…it is one of my go-to sets for sympathy cards because it contains this beautiful greeting in it.  The colors in the Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper inspired my color combination…and I LOVE the medallion shape dies in the Meant to Be Dies and use them with more than the Meant to Bee stamp set!

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of the plaid Cute as Can Die Designer Paper was added across the center.
  • The medallion is cut from Petunia Pop cardstock with the Meant to Bee Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The teapot was stamped with Memento Black Ink and is cut with the Die from the tiny flower print Cute As Can Bee DSP.
  • The stool from Country Flowers stamp set is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pool Party and colored with Dark Pool Party Blends to give it some dimension.
  • The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Country Flowers Dies.  They were colored with Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Pool Party and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  All pieces were added to the medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Country Flowers greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a fun sketch for you to try!

YOU ARE REMARKABLE

I just picked up this stamp set with some host rewards and I LOVE it!  The daisy is so fresh and easy to use with two-step stamping to add color!  Definitely a hidden gem!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper was cut into four 1-7/8 x 2-1/2 pieces and added to the Basic White layer.
  • The Spotlight on Nature circle was cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front.
  • The daisy was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and punched with a 2″ Circle Punch (or use the smaller Spotlight on Nature circle die…I had already made this part before thinking it needed a mat).
  • Use the two step stamps on the petals with Petunia Pop Ink, center with Daffodil Delight Ink and leaves with Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  Add this circle to the Basic Black circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the top part of the You Are Remarkable greeting with Memento Black Ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock and hand-cut around the words.  Add to the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of green Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
